Which was your favorite April 5th fight?
The long-awaited showdown between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) 14KOs and Tyson Fury (34-1-1) 24KOs has come and gone. In the end, we got what we wanted and then some. A tightly contested showdown between two giants of the sport, who fought for all the glory and the coveted Undisputed Heavyweight Title. Usyk would emerge victorious and become Undisputed Champion for a second time in as many divisions. Fury would suffer the first defeat of his career, something that many could not fathom happening. In the end, we may very well get these two to do it all over again later this year, should the rematch clause be exercised by Fury's team. In the undercard, we witnessed Kovalev return and suffer another defeat, Agit Kabayel stopped the Cuban sensation in Frank Sanchez, Joe Cordina relinquish his title against a hungry and determined Anthony Cacace & lastly the long-awaited rematch between Jai Opetaia & Mairis Breidis came to fruition and a hell of a fight that it was.Thank You so much for all of your continued support!Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @TOMATODITOSHOW where you can leave me a comment on the direct post corresponding to this episode. Also, you can reach out to me via X @TomaToditoShow.

M., Bogorodskiy, A. O., Moiseeva, O. V., Vlasova, A. D., Kovalev, K. V., Mikhailov, A. E., Rogachev, A. V., Bamberg, E., Ivanovich, V., Borshchevskiy, V. I. Abstract: Lysosome protective, metabolic, signaling functions are highly dependent on their pH. A lack of tools of high spatial and temporal resolution for pH control is a bottleneck of lysosome related cell research. Light-driven inward proton pump NsXeR, targeted to the lysosomes of mammalian cells, produces lysosome alkalization simply by light. Complementary use of outward proton pumping Arch3 rhodopsins in lysosomes offers an approach to vary pH in a range from around 5 to 6.5 in both directions (alkalization and acidification). Lyso-NsXeR optogenetics efficiency was demonstrated, in particular, by its ability to inhibit lysosome proteolytic enzymes. Unprecedented time resolution of the optogenetic approach allowed direct in situ monitoring of vATPase activity. Thus, optogenetic monitoring and regulation of the lysosome function, through pH control over a wide range, could serve as an approach to studying fundamental cell processes, and rational drug design. Konstantin Kovalev emigrated from Russia to Helsinki a decade ago and made himself an indispensible figure in the stylish retro blues scene there with his first band The Firebugs. His latest project is a long-term labor of love: eight neo-soul tunes meticulously crafted over years, recorded all-analog at the well-known Finnish guitarist Tomi Leino's studio. As they wrote on their Bandcamp site: "We began our musical journey in 2012 and after playing different types of venues for 9 years, several years of exploring the world of 40's-50's blues and r/n/b and finally settled for 60's soul/blues sound influenced by the likes of Bobby Bland, James Carr, Isaac Hayes and The Miracles." Follow this young soul band on Bandcamp, Youtube and hear for yourself. Take a blues journey with No Border Blues, the only blues podcast focused on international blues artists and hidden blues scenes around the world. Delmark recording artist Johnny Burgin and producer Stephanie Tice shine a spotlight on notable international blues performers, discuss the blues scenes in their home countries, and present intimate and exclusive musical performances. Stef couldn't make this interview, sorry!-- but she will be back in the next episode.
