Today Elaine and Louise chat with filmmaker, director, poet and performer Sarah Grant. We also talk the place where the joy and rage meet and make wonderful art. CANDY LINKTR.EE Sarah Grant Sarah is a queer writer, poet, filmmaker and actor based in Glasgow. She is a BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award Nominee, a Sky Academy Arts Scholar, a Scottish National Poetry Slam Championship finalist and on the Young Women's Movement 30-Under-30 list of influential women in Scotland. Her short film work has received awards around the world, her latest work gaining the status of BAFTA Qualifying in 2020. She is currently working on her first feature in development with Short Circuit and Screen Scotland, alongside her first industry funded short. She is a graduate of the EIFF Talent Lab and the Less is More lab. Alongside partner, Katrina Allen, Sarah is co-writer and performer of sketch series 'BURDS' which has just been nominated for a Royal Television Society Award and received a 3x5 commission for BBC iPlayer. Sarah and Katrina are working towards their first long-form television commission on programmes such at the Comedy 50:50 female pilot programme. She is a seasoned comedy actor and you can find more about her performance history on Spotlight. Sarah has written and performed two full length spoken word theatre shows. 'Spark' was awarded Best Spoken Word Show at the 2021 Saboteur Awards and 'Oracles' was commissioned for the Scottish International Storytelling festival.
