Today I'm celebrating 15 years of marriage (and 14.5 years of kids). I've always had a hard time sharing my emotions out loud so I decided to share some of them on here as practice. I review of Midnight Men by Kevin David Anderson, which I thought was excellent. I'm really looking forward to collaborating with Kevin. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! This week we had the opportunity to chat with Kevin David Anderson, author of "Night of the Living ZomBEES" and co-author of "Night of the Living Trekkies." We chat about books, zombies, Netflix obsessions, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Flash Gordon, The Walking Dead, and more. Plus, we look to answer the age-old question of whether Captain Kirk or Captain Picard would win in a game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos. Only the hard-hitting questions on this podcast, folks!Kevin's website: KevinDavidAnderson.comKevin on Facebook: facebook.com/NightoftheLivingTrekkies Connect with us:Pop Cultish on Facebook: facebook.com/PopCultishPop Cultish on Twitter: twitter.com/BePopCultishPop Cultish on Instagram: instagram.com/PopCultishTony on Facebook: facebook.com/TonySchaabPageTony on Twitter: twitter.com/tonyschaabTony on Instagram: instagram.com/tonyschaabEmily on Twitter: twitter.com/emilycschaabEmily on Instagram: instagram.com/emily_schaab

Adel arrived at a hospice, and seemed to be like any ordinary patient, but she endlessly tried to flee, and constantly muttered in German about needing to verwandeln. What could she mean? Also, Big talks a bit about Dean Wesley Smith's "Killing The Sacred Cows Of Publishing," and Rish argues with him about them. Then, they play a round of "Two Truths & A Lie," with a book by Kevin David Anderson hanging in the balance.Warning: Some of Rish Outfield's statements in this episode are even more (deliberately?) incendiary than usual. Listen with a grain of salt handy.Special thanks to Lizanne Herd for producing and narrating today's story, and to Julie Hoverson for lending her voice.
Two stories for you this time. First the champion of last year's October Scary Story Event, "All on St. Mark's Eve," tells of a town's legend of finding out who will die in the upcoming year, and a couple all too eager to find out if someone in particular is on the list. Then, a bonus additional story. "The Day Hypnotism Died," recounts one particular night in the lives of four teenage boys, and the performance that would change each of them forever. Also, Big and Rish talk about their own experiences with--and thoughts on--hypnotism.Special thanks to Julie Hoverson, John Riendeau, and Bryan Lincoln for lending their voices to today's episode.
