Episode Notes: I decided to have a little fun with Black Adam, the movie starring Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan. I enjoyed the movie, I thought it was fun, and yet I can't stop myself from getting all kinds of nitpicky and pointing out all the little things that made me groan, or laugh, or slap my head in disbelieving disdain. I hope you have as much fun listening to this as I had making it. While you might enjoy this episode more if you watch the movie first, it is not required. There will, however, be spoilers. Finally, if you have made it to this point in the show notes, here is a big THANK YOU from me, to you, for showing some interest in this silly little audio show in which I sit in front of a microphone and talk about comic books. I put a lot of work into these episodes each and every week, and I've spent many sleepless nights, and suffered from more than one attack of overwhelming anxiety, as I continuously worry over the show. Did I choose the right format? Should I have a cohost? Why aren't I producing more episodes this week? Why aren't I podcasting right now instead of typing up all of this? Are my choices in comics driving people away? Is it my voice? My humor? My passion? Do I need a better microphone? Am I wasting my time with all this? Should I start over? Why hasn't anyone downloaded the show today? What am I doing wrong? HAVE I MADE ALL THE WRONG CHOICES!? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!? These are just some of the questions that often buzz around in my head all day, everyday, and while I can often be quite skilled at ignoring it all, there are the rare moments when it all just shuts me down. Despite all of that, I do rather enjoy podcasting. It can be quite therapeutic in a whole lotta ways. But, to be fair, all of it would more than a little pointless without you: THE LISTENER. Without you, I might as well be standing in the middle of an empty field shouting nonsense to the sky, which, if I'm being completely honest, can actually be quite fun. It's just that, people tend to start looking at you differently when they catch you out there. So yes, while I enjoy podcasting, and for much of it, I podcast for me (because I have to talk about this stuff, I mean I just HAVE to), I do this for you as well. So once more, thank you. You, Dear Listener, are aces in my book.

Episode Notes: In 1975 writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin, in need of a villain powerful enough to subdue and capture a werewolf, created a throw away character they called: The Moon Knight. 47 years later Moon Knight is a hero who punishes evildoers, despite battling with Dissociative Identity Disorder. He is the Fist of Khonshu, the avatar of an Egyptian Moon God, and the star of his own self titled six episode mini series on Disney Plus set smack dab in the middle of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is the third part in a multi-part series of episodes in which I look at the publishing history of Moon Knight in Marvel Comics to see how the character went from a minor villain in a book about a werewolf, to the complex, multifaceted hero with enough pull to headline his own TV Show. Today, dear listeners, I'm looking at Marvel Spotlight #29: The Deadly Gambit of Conquer-Lord by Doug Moench, Don Perlin, Irene Vartanoff, and Debra James. Marvel Spotlight 28 was published by Marvel Comics on May 11, 1976. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Episode Notes: Today on JAF Classics I take you back to March 14, 2007 and Episode #29 of the original run of Just Another Fanboy. Here are the original show notes from the episode: Here we go with Episode 29 and we go all out to bring you an hour and thirty minutes with the introduction of a new possible co-host. My wife joins me for the second time in a little experiment to bring a new voice to the show. We chat away about a variety of topics which range from Captain America #25, the hit NBC television show Medium, negative iTunes reviews, and our son and his fixation with Hawkgirl. We answer the odd questions of a listener, and I bring you your weekly news and my comic book picks of the week - Punisher War Journal #4 and Green Lantern #17. Of course I can't forget part three of the Thrilling Adventures of Norman Oklahoma. So sit back, grab yourself a bucket of popcorn, put the cat outside, and make sure the kids are all snug in their bed, because you're going to want to drink yourself into a near catatonic state before listening to this one. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
