Dodgers–Blue Jays is on and Dan's torn: despises the “neo-Yankees” Dodgers, still scarred by Joe Carter's '93 dagger vs. his beloved Phillies. We relive that wild Phils run (Dykstra, Dutch, Kruk & co.) and why that team still owns Philly hearts. Meanwhile, the NBA tips off under a cloud: FBI arrests tied to gambling schemes and a wild Stephen A. take that somehow drags Trump into it—Dan calls foul on evidence-free accusations and on-air grandstanding. Plus: Nick Saban says he's staying retired (and on GameDay), and why Bill Belichick needs time at UNC in the portal era. Then it's NFL Week 7:London: Rams cruise past the Jags—still waiting on College Trevor to show up on Sundays.Chiefs flatten the Raiders; K.C. looks fully “back.”Browns bully the Dolphins in bad weather; that defense is real.Patriots roll the Titans—Drake May looks the part, New England's arrow up.Panthers edge the Jets in a quintessential Meadowlands slog. Also: Panera SIP Club lore, Rich vs. the “ON” switch, and a Gary Carter vs. Ovi “Great 8” aside.Special Thanks to: Fox Brothers Alarms - https://foxbrothersalarms.com First Baptist church of Phillipsburg NJ http://www.fbcpburg.org/
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
With special guest: Dr Edward Krukin conversation with Bill Kable and Ken Thompson Our guest today has produced a book of 167 pages, The Equal Parent Presumption: Social Justice in the Legal Determination of Parenting after Divorce, that should be required reading for everyone who works in the space of parenting after divorce; and that includes judges who routinely make sole parenting orders, psychologists who offer family therapy, and all the other institutions that influence family relationships. The trouble really arises because although there is a mantra of acting “in the best interest of the child” this becomes a discretionary assessment by a judge who has no training in the area of child development or family dynamics and furthermore the Judge takes no interest in reviewing the outcome of the decision. Dr Kruk invites us to take the child’s position. Podcast (mp3)

David Kruk – 1970 Super Bee. With the Holley MoParty kicking off in Bowling Green, Kentucky, we're spotlighting longtime attendee David Kruk and his 1970 Dodge Super Bee. David and his wife Lizzie have become familiar faces at the event, showing off a car that's logged over 80,000 miles and countless upgrades. What started as a $400 parts-car rescue has turned into a full-blown autocross machine. The Super Bee has evolved from a tired 440 big block into a third-gen Hemi–powered, QA1-equipped racer that can hold its own against lighter cars on the track. From the Columbus Goodguys to the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge, David has proven that a big yellow B-body can fly. Catch him this weekend at MoParty — whether it's on the autocross course, drag strip, or just swapping stories with fellow Mopar fans. Follow his adventures on Facebook.com/david.kruk.1, TikTok.com/@70beeracing, and YouTube.com/@david.ksuperbee. And if you'd like to park a mini version of his Super Bee on your shelf, Johnny Lightning now offers a scale replica of his car. The post TMCP #620: David Kruk And His 1970 Super Bee “Speedtech Equipped” AutoCross Monster! first appeared on The Muscle Car Place.

I believe I first learned about Kruk design via the algorithm on Instagram. Needless to say, it sure has me pegged. Through friends at Walt Grace Vintage in Miami, I was introduced to today's guest, the founder and one-man-band behind Kruk Designs, Blake Simon. If you're familiar with the tartan plaids, woven leathers, and houndstooth-clad watch rolls, then you may already be familiar with the brand. The son of an entrepreneur, Blake co-founded Horus Watch Straps while still in college, only to set out on his own to begin making his own line of luxury leather goods. Blake shares the advice his father has given him, as well as the cars and watches that are near and dear to his heart. Blake and I quickly realized we are certainly birds of a feather, and this was one of the few in-person interviews I've done in a while, so it's safe to say we had a blast. I hope you enjoy it.Links:STANDARD Hhttps://standard-h.com/@standardh_Kruk Designshttps://www.krukdesigns.com/@krukdesigns

We talk about the not-so-hot stove and the upcoming trade deadline, then a bunch of stuff in the AL East including the Yankees' troubles, the ascendant Blue Jays, and the crybaby Red Sox. Then a few Phillies stories including a new Kruk anecdote, Nick Castellanos (probably) fantasizing about hurting Rob Manfred, and a funny walk off. Rich Hill pitched and it was extremely Rich Hill. Lauren sat courtside at a WNBA game. Stephen is going to a Savannah Bananas game. Jane watched Happy Gilmore 2 so you don't have to.
