AMD's talks shipments for its components of Valve's Steam Machine's imminent launch and the next Xbox is supposedly being prepared for a 2027 debut. Nintendo gives financial numbers with Switch 2 having sold over 17 million units since launch while the original Switch sells 155 million units. Rebecca, meanwhile, thinks that 2026 may have peaked already as far as AAA gaming goes with the release of Heartopia – an Animal Crossing inspired "slow life sim" that somehow also encompasses all of the other trends she's associated with (a mobile live-service game possessed of the world's most useless and forgettable gacha). Grand Theft Auto was delayed again, and to be honest, we weren't necessarily surprised. What was interesting was the rumors of why it was delayed. Some sources claim that the game is complete, but Rockstar wants to ensure that everything functions as intended. Other news sources claim that union-busting could be the cause of the delay.
