Hour 1: Yesterday's press conference with Buster Posey was a mixed bag, to say the least. The Giants' president of baseball operations was put in a tough spot, trying to address the Pride controversy and the recent issues with Rafael Devers and Tony Vitello. But did he handle it well? The guys on the show aren't so sure. They dive into the details of the press conference, discussing the ways in which Buster Posey's statements only seemed to fuel the fire, rather than put out the flames. The conversation touches on the importance of communication and how the Giants' organization could have handled the situation differently. The hosts also discuss the recent moves made by the team, including the signings of Matt Chapman and Rafael Devers, and whether they were good or bad decisions. They also talk about the team's attendance and how it's been affected by the lack of a second team in the Bay Area. One of the main points of discussion is whether Buster Posey is the right person for the job, given his lack of experience in baseball operations. The guys on the show aren't convinced that he's making the right moves, and they question whether he's being proactive or just reactive. They also discuss the importance of leadership and how it's lacking in the Giants' organization. Hour 4: The Giants are back in action today with a doubleheader against the Braves, and we've got some exciting news: Carson Whisenhunt is making his season debut in game two. This young lefty has been making waves in the minor leagues, and we're eager to see how he'll perform in the big leagues. But before we dive into the action, let's take a look at what's been going on in the world of baseball. The Giants have been dealing with some injuries in their starting rotation, and it's been a challenge to find the right combination of pitchers to get the job done. Tyler Mallory, one of the team's top prospects, has been dealing with a quad strain, and it's unclear when he'll be back on the mound. Meanwhile, the team is looking to Carson Whisenhunt to step up and fill the void. We'll be discussing the potential for Whisenhunt to become a key player in the Giants' rotation and what this means for the team's future. The conversation also touches on the trade deadline and the possibility of moving some of the team's big contracts. We'll be discussing the challenges of trading players like Buster Posey and Matt Chapman, who have significant contracts and may be difficult to move. And in other news, the 49ers are reportedly ready to move on from Brandon Aiyuk, who has been a source of controversy this season.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Giants have the third worst 63-game start in franchise history (1902 and 1943) and the worst in San Francisco history at 25-38, tied with the 1985 100-loss and 2017 98-loss teams. Despite the doom and gloom, the offense has come around as of late. Luis Arraez and Jung Hoo Lee have the third (.325) and fourth (.322) best batting averages in baseball, and as a team, are fourth in batting average (.256). They lead the league in doubles and grand slams, and Bryce Eldridge is flirting with .300. Casey Schmidt is looking like an All-Star, smacking his 13th homer (a new career high...in June) today. And, Logan Webb carried a no-hitter into the 7th in a 1-0 victory over the Brewers. That said, how will the Giants sell at the deadline? What can Buster Posey do at this point to improve the DNA of this team, especially as much of the team is now under his mold?www.torturecast.comfacebook.com/torturecast@torturecast
