Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love God. To love God and our neighbor as ourselves is not only the fulfillment of the Law and the prophets but it is the grand goal of the Gospel. In Genesis 4 Cain demonstrated the opposite of love when he rejected God's prescription for proper sacrifice and hated and killed his brother Abel. But Christ demonstrated true love in that he laid down his life for his people. Thus he demonstrated the principle of sacrificial love that we as his people are to follow. Christian love is affection that is rooted in action which moves us to love God with all of our being and moves us to love others by meeting their spiritual and material needs.
This week's message is titled Let Us Love and the scripture reference is John 13:34-35. If you would like to worship with us in person, we would love to have you. Because God has heard our cry to live and answered, "Yes," let us live all our lives loving Him. Let Us Love the Lord for Letting Us Live.
When we experience or receive the love of God through Jesus Christ, it helps us to love God and to love one another, for true faith is backed by love.
Introduction Love's call: ‘Let us love one another' (v7-8). Love's content: ‘Christ's atoning death for us' (v9-10). Love's commitment: ‘God's life in us' (v11-12). Conclusion Completing the circle of God's love: Honesty about sin. Hope for the future. Help in times of need. Hospitality to newcomers. Holding out the hand of Christ. ‘Beloved since God so love us, we also ought to love one another.' (1John 4:11)
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognise the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. (1 John 4:4-12)

In the concluding chapter of Chelsie's Crusade Church saga, Ep.30 "Let Us Love On You" of The Cult Next Door Podcast, Chelsie recounts a chilling encounter with Pastor Larry. In a final attempt to lure her back to the church, Larry invites Chelsie to meet in his home, cloaking his manipulation in a guise of concern, love and affection. As Chelsie describes the unsettling meeting & the seeminly new direction the church has taken, listeners are drawn into her growing sense of unease and the profound realization that something is deeply wrong.

The Table is a place to belong. The world isn't going to be moved by the church or impressed by believers when we try to show love for those far from God but treat the family of God like garbage. Pastor Chris expands on these statements and on what happened around the table with Jesus in John 13.
A brief recording of my 4th-5th grade Bible class singing the modern version of "Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder" by John Newton.
In this hymn, Newton explains why we ought to praise Christ. The undergirding motivation is that Christ has washed us with his blood that we might come to God. Each stanza ends with some expression of that unfathomable glorious truth.
