Mr. Alex Mauger was a guest preacher for us this morning. He graduated with an M.Div. from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, in Taylor's, SC in 2024. Mr. Mauger is a member of Reformation Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where he preaches regularly as a licentiate of New Geneva Presbytery, RPCGA.

Pastor Grant was on duty on the Lord's Day as a chaplain for the SD Va Medical Center (where he is is their chaplaincy residency program) and led and preached for the Protestant chapel worship service on the Lord's Day (that was broadcast on their live TV station for patients in beds). Though the wicked seek to knock out the righteous, the righteous always rise up in victory. Keep Getting Up Again.

God's people and prepare to fight the good fight of faith because they know it is God Who will fight for them. Be Prepared to Fight the Good Fight, and Often Your Enemies' Fearful Threats will Fizzle. Because Our God Shall Fight for Us.

God's people are to only eat in a manner that is not an abomination to Him but rather His glorification. Eat and Drink to God's Holy Glory.

When aggravated anger of God's enemies toward the work of His people with a real threat of attack that can cause the Church to emotional exhaustion and possibly interrupt the work, God's leaders must prepare His people with prayer, a plan of defense, and motivational preaching that can stop the threat and keep the people going. Be Prepared to Fight the Good Fight, and Often Your Enemies' Fearful Threats will Fizzle.

God's separated people who have the certainty of eternal life in Christ and the resurrection should not grieve the death of their loved ones in the Lord like the world but distinctively show their holy hope in heaven. Don't Grieve Your Deceased Brethren with a Worldly Lack of Hope in Heaven.

The response of God's leaders to growing reproach by God's enemies should be increasing in prayer for God to intervene so that God's people respond in continuing to make progress building Christ's church. When Oppressed, Keep Praying and Making Progress.

God's call on His people to live a clean, holy, separate, sanctified life that honors His name is because of who they are as He has made them in Himself and their own identity and reputation in Christ. As God's Blessed People Be Blessed.

While some live longer, we all only have very little time on this earth that is full of sorrowful living. Your Days on this Earth Are Numbered.

Because God has heard our cry to live and answered, "Yes," let us live all our lives loving Him. Let Us Love the Lord for Letting Us Live.

This message was given for a chapel service at Providence Christian College in Pasadena, CA, where Pastor Grant's daughter is a junior and RA at the time. When God's people and their situation seem insignificant and insecure during times of reformation, they need to see themselves as God does and rejoice in what He has begun, is doing, and will finish in and through them. Don't Despise the Day of Small Things!

The hearts of wise covenant parents greatly rejoice within when their children show they are wise within from without. Covenant Children: Being Wise of Heart Will Rejoice Your Parents' Hearts Most.

The price of attaining the truth is worth the cost. Spare No Expense to Have Christ and His Wisdom.

Having God's gift of faith is the reason anyone can see and profess the Gospel or anything else as true.

What one does with their lives, good or bad, expresses and extends joyful or sorrowful living. Rejoice in Being Righteous and Doing What's Right.

The words of God in His Word must be carefully considered and kept in heart and life by His people. Give Jesus All Your Attention.

There is no one like the Lord Who alone exists in glorious holiness and does wonderful works of salvation. Your God is Glorious in Holiness.

The one who is willing to lose his life now for Jesus finds it forever in Jesus. We are Blessed to Belong with the Losers.

The wide way of life that the majority is going is the wrong way to follow because it leads to eternal death. The Wide Way is the Wrong Way.

God's good leaders rebuild and build up His Church in every generation managing good organization and delegation by the will of God and the humble, unified, good will of His people. Build as Christ's One Risen Body.

One Christian can cause many foes to flee because it is their God Who fights for them. Because God Fights for You, Through You Your Many Foes Will Flee.

The person who has an eye to bless the poor with his bounty is blessed by God. Have a Good Eye to Do Good to the Suffering. The song "Give Me Your Eyes" by Brandon Heath is quoted in the end of the sermon and then played afterward.

God will let His people's life and love be tested to purify them against strong influences toward blaspheming Him through disloyal behavior that is inconsistent for those who bear His name. Only Love and Live for God.

Good leadership that motivates God's people to build Christ's church will face evil opposition to discourage and stop it. When You Do Good You Will Face Evil.

Taking heed unto ourselves to not be engaging in idolatrous worship is all ultimately about identifying the true God as our God. Wear Christ's Name Well in How You Worship Him.

God provides for His people through their prayers, planning, and persons. Be Prepared for God to Provide.

A vital aspect of not giving into idolatrous worship is to watch over our own hearts and lives. Take Heed to Keep Thyself from Idols.

After God's people guide their prayers from adoration into confession and thanksgiving, they are best prepared to lift up their supplications asking for Him to provide and prosper their calling—and they need to! Close Your Prayers with Supplication.

God wants His people to understand the difference between worship service and ever day life. Have Discernment with What is and Isn't Worship.

After God's people continue from adoration in their prayers to personal and corporate confession, they should transition into a time of thanksgiving. Transition Your Prayers into Thanksgiving.

Avoiding idolatrous worship includes maintaining respect for the life of souls secured in Christ as represented in the blood of animals. Your Life is in Christ's Blood Alone.

The way God's people should continue their prayers after opening with adoration is to confess their personal, family, church, and national sins. Continue Your Prayers with Confession.

When God's people get rid of idolatrous worship and replace it with the place, time, and way God chooses, their pure fellowship with Him and one another produces joyful fellowship feasting. Reject Your Idols to Rejoice With God Together.

The way God's people should open their prayers is to first acknowledging His awesome glory. Open Your Prayers with Praise.

God alone chooses the way in which His people are to worship Him. God Chose You to Worship Him How He Chooses.

The response of God's people to tragic news that requires a careful, concerted, reconstructing response is first to pray. Before Taking Action, Pause in Prayer.

God is to be blessed by His people because He is such a blessing of complete comfort to them. Be Comforted in Our Blessed God of All Comfort.

God's call on His people is to walk with Him honorably; those and their families who do He will honor—and those who don't He will curse. Honor God and He Will Honor You.

God, who does mighty things of mercy for His people, should be eagerly sought ought for great merciful and gracious things of them by enlarging their prayers of supplication and praise. Ask Much of God and Receive Plenty More.

Through all trials, God is His people's continual hope. The LORD is Your Hope Continually.

Active love is the greatest key to bond Christians in Christ. To Build the Perfect Bond of Christian Peace, Love.

A lack of forgiving fellow Christians leads to fellowship with the Devil. When you don't forgive your fellow Christians, you fellowship with the Devil.

Christians keep their way and witness with fruitful works by remaining in close, continual, life-flowing fellowship with Jesus Christ through His means of grace. Abide in Christ.

God is the only one in whom you can place your complete confidence—and you must. You Can Totally Trust in God.
