David finally chooses to turn to the Lord. But during this time there is an election for the King of Israel, David or Ish-Bosheth. As we look at this scripture we see many similarities with our current election season.
David is continuing to not follow God's plan for him. In 1 Samuel 30 we see his struggle and then a pivotal moment where he turns back to God.
Sometimes we have Ignorance of being in a dangerous situation but more often we are aware of the danger and do it anyway. David has done a good job of being “a man after God's own heart” but now is a story where he is making bad choices.
Nabal & Abigail are introduced to David's story. Both react to David in very different ways. One produces anger and the other makes David a better person. Who will you choose to be like, Nabal or Abigail?
We tend to sin in ways that are blatant and obvious or in ways that are more discreet and not as noticeable. But both are sin. This message looks at the 2 caves David found himself in & encourages us to turn away from sin!
