In March of 2020, Charlotte, NC artist Atticus Lane wrote an EP during the first lockdown after COVID-19. Fast forward almost two years exactly, and veterans from other Carolina Projects Duckbeak, Home for the Day, and No Rope joined Atticus under the name Seneca Burns. They recorded an EP in late 2021 and played for a sold out show at the Milestone Club on February 4th, 2022 as their public debut. A month later, they left home and embarked on a 12 day run with 11 shows up the Northeast. Playing with bands like Win by 2, Patient Basement, and Dead Wait they supported Home for the Day on the Local Scenes and Drama Queens Tour, returning home and headlining the Milestone once again on Monday, March 21st, 2022. After a few more local shows with the likes of Keep Flying, The Second After, and No Scope, including a Sold Out show with Bear with Me at Winston Salem's Monstercade, Seneca are slated to play Sick Tight Festival in Dallas on June 11th, 2022. Atticus Lane Matt Jarvis John Jenkins Christian Whittington. Thank you for listening! On this episode, I'm joined by my friend and sister-in-law, Astrid Caspian, where we talk with Carlos Bocanegra-the owner of Monstercade, "the weirdest bar in NC"- about their YouTube show "Cockblock Theater", delivering beer during the pandemic and the very strange tale of an encounter with Bigfoot.
Preview of my mixtape. Feel free to isolate the bars and put it to whatever music you want. If you send it back I’ll play the best 3 on the next ep. Also a set from Monstercade called L cause wit prolly sucked and a CoVid quarantine call to comic/actor Harrison Friedman. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/Philluminati/support
