West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy is Now Open! 8am-9am PT/ 11am-Noon ET for our especially special Daily Specials, Smothered Benedict Wednesdays!Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, while relying mostly on natural gas, Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz lied when they blamed the New Green Deal that doesn't exist for the Texas winter storm outages. Then, on the rest of the menu, a Black franchise owner sued MacDonald's citing persistent bias; the SEC sued Morningstar Credit Ratings for violating US securities laws in its ratings of commercial mortgage-backed securities; and, Biden is urged to end the Trump lawsuit blocking $2.3 billion in payments to some 300,000 aged, blind and disabled Puerto Ricans. After the break, we move to the Chef's Table where thousands of protesters took over Barcelona's streets to demand the release of a rapper jailed on charges of rapping insults at the Spanish royalty; and, Japan's ruling party wants more women at their meetings, unless they talk. All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.Bon Appétit!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"To those of us who believe that all of life is sacred every crumb of bread and sip of wine is a Eucharist, a remembrance, a call to awareness of holiness right where we are. I want all of the holiness of the Eucharist to spill out beyond church walls, out of the hands of priests and into the regular streets and sidewalks, into the hands of regular, grubby people like you and me, onto our tables, in our kitchens and dining rooms and backyards.” -- Shauna Niequist "Bread and Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table with Recipes"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Show Notes & Links: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2021/2/17/2016525/-West-Coast-Cookbook-amp-Speakeasy-Daily-Special-Smothered-Benedict-Wednesdays
