This audio is brought to you by Wearcheck, your condition monitoring specialist. A new platinum group metals (PGM) recycling facility has opened in China, where the autocatalyst recycling market is expected to grow at the rate of 18% a year. Recycled PGMs are calculated to offer carbon dioxide (CO2) emission reduction of up to 98% when compared with mined PGMs. The largely Southern Africa-mined PGM suite of metals embraces platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, and osmium, with metals used as catalysts in applications including exhaust gas purification, green hydrogen generation, fertiliser production, jewellery, and in cancer therapy medicines. The new BASF HERAEUS Metal Resource recycling facility in Pinghu, China, has been jointly built by BASF Environmental Catalyst & Metal Solutions and Heraeus Precious Metals. The joint venture investment is part of a global €300-million recycling expansion programme spanning China, the US and Germany, Heraeus Precious Metals senior VP business line chemicals Marius Vigener stated in a media release to Mining Weekly. "It will support our customers by meeting their increasing demand for low-carbon footprint products. This commitment to sustainable development benefits not only both companies but also the wider PGM and downstream industries," Vigener noted. Construction of the facility, which has a capacity to recycle 10 000 t of autocatalysts a year, was completed in 16 months on an area of 32 000 m2 in Pinghu. Also in China, a PGMs plant in Nanjing was opened by Heraeus in 2018. In Germany, Heraeus is expanding its PGM recycling capacity in Hanau, as well as providing additional recycling capacity development in Wartburg, Tennessee, and Santa Fe Springs, California, both in the US. In Hanau, several additional production lines are expected to increase recycling capacities substantially by 2026. The new lines will use electrolytic processes that reduce the use of chemicals and increase process efficiency. In Pinghu, the joint venture will use BASF Environmental Catalyst & Metal Solutions pyrometallurgy recycling technology, providing customers with state-of-the-art technology for the recovery of precious metals. BASF Environmental Catalyst & Metal Solutions senior VP Precious Metal Services & Recycling Tim Ingle described China as an important market and said BASF HERAEUS Metal Resource would facilitate the reuse of PGMs in China while supporting circularity and enabling customers to reduce their CO2 footprints. "We extend our deepest gratitude to the joint project team, our partners in the construction company, and local authorities. It is the commitment of all those involved that ensured the project's rapid and successful completion ahead of schedule," said BASF HERAEUS Metal Resource GM Nancy (Ying) Ren, who highlighted the recycling operation as being pivotal for the broader context of China's industrial and environmental roadmap. PGMS AND HYDROGEN As reported by Mining Weekly last week, the hydrogen economy is an important new growth area for PGMs and, in turn, PGMs are pivotal for hydrogen production and application across a broad front. In the article, Heraeus Precious Metals new business development executive VP Dr Philipp Walter highlighted the strong global current momentum of the hydrogen economy - "politically, socially and technologically". In South Africa, it is estimated that the hydrogen economy has the potential to add 3.6% to gross domestic product (GDP) by 2050, along with 370 000 jobs. South Africa is already acting with purpose to harness the potential of green hydrogen and if investment is significantly scaled-up, green hydrogen can deliver the equivalent of more than one-third of Africa's current energy consumption, increase the collective GDP, improve clean energy supply and empower communities. The Southern African region already has 33 green hydrogen-linked projects charted, 26 of them in eight provinces in South Africa and seven in Namibia. This re...

Twelve Los Angeles County cities filed a lawsuit Friday seeking to postpone the controversial new zero-bail policy that allows some nonviolent defendants charged with felonies or misdemeanors to be cited and released after being arrested. The cities of Whittier, Arcadia, Artesia, Covina, Downey, Glendora, Industry, Lakewood, La Verne, Palmdale, Santa Fe Springs and Vernon are seeking an injunction to postpone the implementation of the Los Angeles County Superior Court's zero-bail schedule, which went into effect Sunday, according to a news release from the city of Glendora. The new bail policy was imposed by court officials who argued that a defendant's ability to pay bail should not be the key factor in determining whether they stay in jail after an arrest. The so-called zero-bail schedule has been a controversial issue around the country, with criminal justice reform advocates arguing that pretrial releases should be based on an individual's criminal history not on an arbitrary dollar amount.Support the show

It's the last Friday before the big week and we're talking about some BTS info from the UAW side of labor talks. We also give a rounded look at EV news as we ramp up to our big week of experts and news releases next week at ASOTU CON. According to leaked messages from a top aide to UAW President, Shawn Fain, suggest the union aims to damage Detroit 3 automakers' reputations to "keep them wounded for months." Stellantis described UAW Communications Director Jonah Furman's comments as "incredibly disturbing." Ford's Mark Truby said they're "disappointing, to say the least," emphasizing their commitment to bargaining in good faith. General Motors expressed concerns about the UAW's intention to cause prolonged disruption. In the leaked messages, Furman explained the union's approach, "They can basically price in an all-out strike... But if we can keep them wounded for months they don't know what to do... Plus we're breaking pattern and they're bargaining against each other for the first time in 70 years."Previously, the UAW has been accusing the OEMs of bargaining in bad faithThere is also talk about the proposal of the 32 hour work week, which helped to elicit great support from UAW members, never being considered as an actual goal, but more about bringing up a conversation about work-life balanceFain is scheduled to go on FB live today at 10am to announce the next wave of strike targets if significant progress hasn't been madeEV Update:According to a Nikkei newspaper report, Toyota Motor Corp. is set to accelerate its EV production, aiming for an annual output of over 600,000 EVs by 2025 marking a significant uptick from their sales of fewer than 25,000 EVs worldwide last year. The automaker's previously stated objectives are to sell 1.5 million EVs every year by 2026 and to achieve sales of 3.5 million (roughly a third of its current global volume) by 2030.Fleet management and rental company, Ryder, has begun deploying the first of its 4,000 BrightDrop electric vans across four key US cities. Episode 101 Notes and Links to Mia St. John's Work On Episode 101 of The Chills at Will Podcast, Pete welcomes Mia St. John, and the two talk about her upbringing, being a victim of racism, her private battles as a youth and her moving around a lot as a youth, her resolve in becoming a world-champion boxer, how her childhood shaped her boxing prowess, the highs and lows of high-level boxing, and the grief and love she has experienced, especially in recent years, which she has channeled into in becoming an advocate for mental health. The two discuss these topics and more through the prism of her recently-published memoir, Fighting for my Life: A Memoir about A Mother's Loss and Grief. Mia St. John was born in San Francisco, California. Her fighting career started soon after, at the age of six, competing in Tae Kwon Do. Mia earned a black belt and received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California State University of Northridge in June of '94. In 1996, Mia decided to pursue her true passion full-time, the sport of combat. Valentines Day, 1997, Mia made her pro-debut in boxing, knocking out her opponent in fifty-four seconds into the first round. Mia signed with Don King and stayed with him for a year and a half before she left King for his rival Bob Arum of Top Rank. At Top Rank, Mia spent four years opening for all of Oscar De La Hoya's major fights. Mia has fought all over the world, including Beijing, China, where she won her IBA Championship. After accumulating an unheard of boxing record of nearly 60 pro fights, on June 14th, 2008, Mia fulfilled her dream of fighting in her mother's home country of Mexico. She fought one of the toughest fights of her career and became the WBC International Boxing Champion of the World at the age of 40. In November of 2010, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano joined Mia and LA Laker Ron Artest for an official mental health and suicide prevention training at Napolitano's district office in Santa Fe Springs. Artest and St. John have joined Napolitano to promote the Mental Health in Schools Act, legislation she authored which would increase federal funding for mental health therapists in schools. She also spoke at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, where President Barack Obama made a riveting speech at the CHCI's annual Gala. As well as Congress, Mia speaks in schools and juvenile halls on the importance of education and overcoming hardship. She speaks of her own battles with mental illness, addiction, poverty and overcoming it all, to become a three time international boxing champion. On August 14th, 2012, Mia fought Christy Martin in a long awaited rematch. Her dream of sixteen years finally materialized and at the age of 45, she captured the WBC Super Welter Weight Championship of the World. Built for Greater Glory – The Timing of God1. Understanding the Timing of God and How it Works Ps 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.Time (Kairos) An Opportune time, Set time, due time, proper time, appointed time or season, a moment of maximum opportunity, it is a moment when change is possible and a moment when all things “come together” and alignLk 19:44 Because you did not know the time of your visitationJer 38:20 Obey the voice of the LORD in what I am telling you, that it may go well with you and you may live.2 Chron 20:20 Believe His prophets, and you shall prosper2. Glorify and Honor God with Obedience in These Seasons 1 Pet 2:12 Glorify God in the day of visitationHaggai 1:2-11 Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built.” Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes. Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands3. We Are In a Miracle Season and It's About to Get Stronger Haggai 2:8-9 The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts. The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. And in this place, I will bring peace. I, the LORD of Heaven's Armies, have spoken!”Glory (Chabod) weightiness, that which is substantial or heavy, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches and excellence, it is the goodness of GodJust like neglecting God's House in the wrong season affected them negatively, blessing God's house in the right season brings blessing1 Kings 17:12-16 She replied, “I don't have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.” Elijah said to her, “Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.'” She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by ElijahShe could have allowed excuses, reasoning, fear, unbelief, rebellion to rob her of this great miracle season, but she believed and obeyed We need to give to God because we're grateful, but we must also give to God expecting a great miracle harvest on what we sow

Mike Luna: Enter the Dragon The ancient Chinese regarded the dragon as the most potent of all symbols of energy and good fortune. They believed it to be the harbinger of incredible luck, prosperity, abundance, consistent success and high achievement. These are the very gifts Mike Luna’s dragons have bestowed upon their creator. A pipe artist, grower and smoker, his love for the cannabis plant is at the center of a successful career designing and fabricating the industry’s most beloved dragon headies, pendants and sculpture. Born in Torrance, California, in 1978, Luna was raised in Santa Fe Springs until age 15 when he moved to O’Brien, Oregon, to start high school at Illinois Valley High. After high school in 1996, he moved to Los Angeles and began working in automotive retail. By this time older brother, Chris, had already started his journey into glassblowing, and in 1999 offered Mike a job back in Oregon. Luna found work in a production shop ran by Gilbert Velosco. There, he met and befriended soon-to-be functional glass legend, Darby Holm, who took him under his wing as an apprentice in 2000. Luna says: “Learning under Darby changed my life! He and the Holms are like family to me. They are a big part of the reason I’m still in Oregon constantly learning and trying different things with glass.” On February 6, 2021, Ziggy’s Smoke Shop in Huntington Beach, California, presents Enter the Orb, Luna’s current solo exhibition of new work and collabs with the likes of AKM, Ryno, Darby, Justin Carter, and Salt. His work will also be on view September 18 at Lifted Veil Gallery in Los Angeles, and in December at 2Sided Gallery, Stanton, California.

How to Manifest God's Promises for Grace & Glory in 20211. The Word of God Has The Power to Bring Itself to PassIs 55:11 So My word I send it out, it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send itThe word of God is God and it can be relied upon Mk 4:19 Worries of this age, the seduction of wealth, and the lusts for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitfulTo choke utterly as weeds do plants, to strangle out, to drown2. Greed & Worry Make the Word Unfruitful, Barren, Profitless, UselessHag 1:1-7 ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lords house should be built. Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house”Here God's people got into trouble because they decided to build their house while neglecting God's house, the source of gloryLk 12:16 “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' “Then he said, ‘This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I'll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”' “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” This man was rich toward himself but not rich towards God2021 make sure you're rich toward the house of his gloryLk 12:22-24,28-32 “I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom and these things will be given to you as well. “Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 3. The Coming Glory Coming to God's House Hag 2:6-9 (In a little while)... I will shake all nations... I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of the 2nd temple shall be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place, I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts.”WebsiteFreedom FacebookFreedom InstagramFreedom SoundcloudP. Entering Into Greater Grace and Glory 1. Make a Fresh Commitment to Pray and Seek the Lord Matt 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you openlyGen 32:24,29 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him thereYou don't see his time with God, but you see the evidence of it Heb 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him2 Chron 7:13-15 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence (Plague, Disease, Contagion, Infection, Pandemic) among My people if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place2. Make the Lord Our Tower of Trust and Cast All Our Worries On HimPs 62:6-8 (TLB) Yes, he alone is my Rock, my rescuer, defense, and fortress why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come? My protection, success and Glory come from God alone. He is my refuge, a Rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust him all the time. Pour out your longings (heart) before him, for he can help! Many times, great glory is connected to warfare, learning that the Lord is a strong tower will be key to being trusted with greater gracePs 59:16 In my most troubled hour You defended me, You're my shelterPs 56:11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (What can the son of earth do to me)1 Pet 5:7 (TLB) Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns youMk 4:19 (HCS) Worries of this age, the seduction of wealth, and the lusts for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitfulTo choke utterly as weeds do plants, to strangle out, to drownWorry makes the word of God unfruitful, barren, profitless, uselessLk 10:41 (NASB) You are worried and bothered about so many thingsIs 55:11 So My word I send it out, it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it3. We're About to Reap What We Sowed for And What We Didn't Sow For Jn 4:38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their laborJosh 24:13 So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plantDeut 8:8-10 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given youWebsiteFreedom FacebookFreedom InstagramFreedom SoundcloudP. 1. Grace and Glory DefinedPs 84:11 The Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly Grace is a free gift, it's unearned and undeserved, favor, blessing, ability, wisdom, joy and strength from God Glory (Chabod) weightiness, that which is substantial or heavy, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches and excellence, it is the goodness of God2. The Glory is Always Connected to the House of God2 Chron 7:1-3 When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.”Kenneth Copeland said 2021 will be the year of the local churchThe house of God releases the will of God in the earthIf we help build Jesus's house, He will help build our housesMatt 16:18 I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevailGen 28:17 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven" The church is heaven's gateway, souls are saved and lives changed Awesome - To fear, to revere (what an incredible privilege we have)1 Chron 28:10 So take this seriously. The LORD has chosen (selected) you to build a temple as His sanctuary (house). Be strong, and do the workIs 60:7 I will glorify (adorn, beautify) the house of My glory3. Prayer in God's House Reverses Curses and Releases Glory 2 Chron 7:12-16 I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. (Be very wise on handling the house of Glory)Gen 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you 1 Chron 16:22 Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm1 Pet 3:10 For whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech1 Cor 11:28-31 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judgedHaggai 2:9 The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. 2021 The Year of God's Grace and GloryPs 84:10-12 I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Blessed is the man who trusts in You!1. The Lord Gives More Grace in 2021Ps 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion (Church), for it is time to show favor (graciousness) to her; the appointed time has come● Grace is a free gift, it's unearned and undeserved, favor, blessing, ability, wisdom, joy and strength from God2. The Lord Gives Undeserved and Unearned Glory in 2021Isa 60:1-3,9,11,12 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor. Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nation's their kings led in triumphal procession. For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish it will be ruined● Glory (Chabod) weightiness, that which is substantial or heavy, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches and excellence, it means to be renowned● Glory is also defined as the manifest presence of God, it's when God's goodness hits your life1 Chron 13:14 The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he hadEx 33:14-19 “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then he said to Him, “ If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are on the face of the earth.” So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you , and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I'll be gracious to who I will be gracious, and I'll have compassion on who I'll have compassion.”● When God's glory is with us, victory and success is guaranteedPs 37:10-13 A little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming3. The Lord Gives Grace and Glory but it Must be Received by Faith #trust1 Jn 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, our faithMk 5:36 Jesus told him, "Don't be afraid; just believe."Mk 9:23 Everything is possible for one who believesJn 11:40 Didn't I tell you that you would see God's glory if you believe?WebsiteFreedom FacebookFreedom InstagramFreedom SoundcloudP. Stop Crying and Go forward Jesus is Coming Back 1. Go Forward with Purity Knowing the Lord is Coming Back Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approachingMatt 24:37-42 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, and be on guard because you do not know on what day your Lord will come2 Pet 3:9-12,14 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. So dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with himRom 13:10-14 You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts2. Go Forward Without Strife Knowing the Lord is Coming BackJs 3:16 Where envy and strife is confusion and every evil thing is there.Acts 8:23 I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquityThe temptation of offense is a trap that has bait, the bait of satan Don't allow unforgiveness back into your spirit and soul, its poison 2 Cor 7:1 let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. A strong spirit will sustain a man in sickness, a wounded offended spirit will do the opposite Prov 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? Offended people are a danger to themselves and to others Heb 12:15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiledUnforgiveness and offense are temptations that God helps us withHeb 4:15-16 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Lk 11:4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive all who sins against us Eph 4:32 Forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you No forgiveness no joy, no joy no strength, no strength no victory Lk 23:34 Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do

In this message, Pastor Jason Lozano of Freedom Christian Center teaches that anything is possible with God. When we want to complain we need to flip the script because we cannot complain and stand in faith at the same time. If complaining blocks the voice of God, then we get and obey his direction. If complaining limits God's power, then we need to lean into His power by faith. If complaining brings depression, then rejoice and praise God. And if complaining stops us, then we must courageously go forward. Ex 14:15 Why do you cry to me? Tell my people to go forward1. If Complaining Blocks the Voice of God, then Get and Obey His DirectionPs 106:25 they complained in their tents, they didn't listen to God's voice 1 Sam 30:6,8-9 David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God. 8 David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” 9 “Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and recover all”2. If Complaining Limits God's Power then Lean Into His Power by FaithPs 78:41-42 Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel. 42 They did not remember His power Gen 18:14 Is anything too difficult for the LORD?Lk 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with GodNum 11:23 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Has my arm lost its power? Pastor Jason Lozano teaches that as God's children we need to learn how to spiritually fight in order to possess the promises of God. During spiritual warfare we gain the victory through the Power of God. As we honor, love and pursue the Power of God, and put on the Armor of God, we are guaranteed victory in every single fight against the enemy. 1. The Violent Take it by Force – Snatch Away, Take by Sudden ForceMatt 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by forceMatt 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it2. Taking What Belongs to You Through Spiritual Warfare Eph 6:12-13,16-17 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (Schemes & Strategies) of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 16 above all, take the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of GodThe shield of faith quenches all the lies of the evil one Gen 3:1 the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which God had made. And he said to the woman, “Did God really say”Taking it through your sword – declaring the word of the lord Rom 4:17 (As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they didLk 4:4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.' ”Is 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn3. The Kingdom of God Refuses to be Intimidated by FearEph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to standJs 4:7 Submit to God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you1 Pet 5:7-10 (niv) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered (endured) a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever Amen2 Tim 2:12 If we suffer (endure with Him), we shall also reign with HimNum 13:32,33 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land 33 There we saw the giants and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sightIs 41:10 (gwt) Don't be afraid, because I am with you. Once the presence of God shows up in our life, we are never the same. The Church (the Temple) brings God's presence and with Him there is protection and blessing. The Bible teaches us that we (the Church) have the ability to release strength and favor to our city and Pastor Jason Lozano further shares that as the House of God goes, the City will go. Restoring the House of David, the House of His Presence1. Restoring the House of His Presence for the Purpose of Encounter Rev 3:7-8 He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens 8 I know your deeds. I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut. For you have a little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My nameActs 15:16-17 ‘I will return to you and raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen into ruin. I will restore and rebuild what David experienced 17 so that all of humanity will be able to encounter the Lord including gentiles whom I have called to be my very own,' says God 2. When God's House is Restored it Blesses the City and the People in itAmos 9:13-14 (nlt) “The time will come,” says the Lord, “when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested. Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel will drip with sweet wine! 14 I will bring my exiled people back from distant lands, and they will rebuild their ruined cities and live in them again When a city receives the house of God, the church brings God's presence, protection and blessing to the city #SHIFTATMOSPHERESWhat made Zion special, the honoring of the presence of GodZion was the hill of Jerusalem on which the city of David was built“Zion" stands for a society of unity, peace and freedomIs 60:14 they will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One Is 37:35 For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David (The church) I will defend this city and protect itProv 11:10-11 The blessing that rests on the righteous releases strength and favor to the entire city, but shouts of joy will be heard when the wicked one dies. 11 The blessing of favor resting upon the righteous influences a city to lift it higher and to bring the City into prosperity Is 62:4 Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God's Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the LORD delights in you and will claim you as his bride3. The Honor of Building God a Prized Possession 1 Chron 22:5 (nlv) The house that is to be built for the Lord must be very beautiful. It must be very great, and well-known in all the Nations. So I will make preparations and get things ready for it to be built1 Chron 29:1-3 (nlv) It is a very big work because this beautiful house is not for man, but for the Lord God. 2 I have given all that I have been able to give for the house of my God. 3 The house of my God means so much to me. 9 Then the people were filled with joy because they had been so willing to give. They gave their gift to the Lord with a whole heart. And King David was filled with great joyDeut 16:16-17 No one should appear before the Lord empty-handed: 17 Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you2 Cor 9:6-7,11Gal 6:7,9 WebsiteFreedom FacebookFreedom InstagramFreedom SoundcloudP. Building our God a Temple affects our House. God is our protector, provider and defender. When God's house is in order, the believer's house will be set in order too. As the body of Christ builds His Church (His Temple), God will bless the believer's house and allow it to grow supernaturally. As Pastor Jason Lozano shares, “We can build our house all we want. But unless the Lord builds the house, our labor is in vain.” WebsiteFreedom FacebookFreedom InstagramFreedom SoundcloudP. Jason Lozano FacebookP. Jason Lozano Instagram
The Hake Report, Fri, 7/3/20: TWO HOURS! The U.S. Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence pledged “our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” Now scared and angry people have no dignity, and are afraid of losing their job, their livelihood — and won't stand on truth! Ps 91:13-16 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” 1. Because You Set Your Love on Him Expect to Advance, Not to Retreat Lk 10:19-20 I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” ● Trample – to walk, go, march, a forceful advancing, creating paths Matt 11:12 the kingdom suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Mk 16:18 they'll take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. 2. Because You Set Your Love on Him Expect Deliverance From Trouble Ps 34:4,17 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. ● One thing about trouble is that it doesn't outlast God's faithfulness ● He never promised a trouble-free life, but He did promise deliverance Is 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” 3. Because You Set Your Love on Him, Expect Honor and Promotion Js 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. ● When we set our love and trust on Him, that's humility Matt 23:12 whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. Ps 75:6-7 For exaltation doesn't come from the East, North, West or South. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another. 4. Because You Set Your Love on Him Expect Salvation and a Good Long Life Ex 14:13 Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. ● Save - help, rescue, deliver, set free health, healing and well-being Jer 17:14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise. It was a pretty easy to take test. I scheduled my appointment in the morning, and took the test at 1pm that afternoon. I had been traveling a lot earlier this year and I had gotten really sick a few months ago. I thought that I had caught COVID 19 even though I didn't go take the actual test, because I did have all of the symptoms. Back in December, I was coughing a lot, had a high fever, and was experiencing shortness of breath. Then after my Kilimanjaro summit hike, I got really sick again while I was in Spain. So to ease my mind a bit, I decided to go take the Corona Virus Antibody test and my results came back negative!

If you want to succeed as an entrepreneur, don't let your limiting beliefs stop you from achieving great things. And if you're ready to crush your goals, keep reading and learn from the experts. In this week's episode, Ursula Mentjes, together with her special guest, Ernie Silvers, talks about the reasons why small businesses fail and what you can do to succeed. Part One of ‘Why Small Businesses Fail and What You Can Do to Succeed with Ernie Silvers’ Many small businesses fail because they're in it for the wrong reasons. They're not focused on growing the business and providing service. They don't know what they want to be when they grow up. They don't know what kind of job they want. So, they end up creating a job, not a company. Sometimes they see the business as an extension of their ATM. So, if you cannot separate your life from your company, you're going to fail. The company has to be a separate entity. “Many small businesses fail because they're in it for the wrong reason.” — Ernie Silvers Ernie is the MBA Programs Director at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino, CA (CSUSB). Ernie has been teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the Entrepreneurship, Management, and Marketing departments since 2014. Ernie regularly teaches Small Business Management, Organizational Behavior, Administrative Communications, Marketing Principles, as well as Leadership and Ethics. As a professional, Ernie has more than 30-years of diverse managerial experience in executive management, operations management, manufacturing, sales and marketing, human resources, and logistics. The bulk of his career has been spent in the automotive aftermarket, which is a 63-billion-dollar global industry. Part Two of ‘Why Small Businesses Fail and What You Can Do to Succeed with Ernie Silvers’ If you're in business because you need money, that's the worst reason, because you only see people as a paycheck. You can't serve somebody whom you consider a thing and not a person. Money has to be a result of what you do, not the reason you do it. You want to help people. You want to provide a service. You want to bring value and money as a result of providing excellent value. Do you know what it takes for a new entrepreneur to be successful? Focus, passion, and commitment. You have to be committed no matter what you're doing. You have to focus and you have to know what you're doing. It's like if you're driving a car, you have to look out the windshield. If you're looking out the side windows, you're going to crash your vehicle. You have to stay focused on what you're doing, and you have to do what you're passionate about. If you're not excited, why do it? If you can't have fun doing something, then why would you waste your time doing it? “Money has to be a result of what you do, not the reason you do it.” — Ernie Silvers Many people will try to put you down and tell you that you're not going to make it. Success is not a straight line. It's all over the place. You have to understand that there's going to be ups and downs. You will experience failures along the way before you become successful. You need to be around people who will encourage you to keep going. You can either create your imposter syndrome, or you can let somebody else create it for you. Imposter syndrome can be defined as a collection of feelings of inadequacy that persist despite evident success. Sometimes you let other people's high expectations put pressure on you. As a result, you fear failure because you want to meet their unrealistic expectations of you. My guests on this episode are The Lee Sisters! As you’ve heard they are launching their first-ever CD. I’m so honored to have them both on this show and I cannot wait for you all to hear about how they got started. You’ll even get a sneak peek at two songs from the CD later on in the show concluding with the lightning round. So you’ll want to listen all the way to the end for that. First, I would like to shout to out Uncle Kamaka Brown, the creative director of the Sandwich Islands Network Radio, 24-7 online streaming of island contemporary music at V93FM.com for the introduction to Lise more than a year ago. Shout out to Nate Yaris for helping with the music and of course Red Light Fever Studios in Tujunga, Calif. and the masterwork of engineer-extraordinaire Kristofer Traynor. Sisters in real life, the girls have been performing throughout California and Hawaii since 2015. The Lee Sisters’ ukulele adventure began in January 2015 when they were invited by Kanile'a Ukulele to play at the NAMM show in Anaheim, Calif., the world’s largest music convention. Since then, they've been invited to perform at dozens of festivals and events throughout SoCal, including the Heritage of Aloha Festival in Santa Fe Springs (where Lise was the winner of their 2015 ukulele competition). In Hawaii, they have performed as guests of Bryan Tolentino and Herb Ohta Jr. at the Kani Ka Pila Grille, the Moana Terrace at Marriott Waikiki as guests of Alan Akaka and the Keawe Ohana Show, and most recently at Disney’s Aulani Resort as guests of The Makaha Sons. The Lee Sisters recorded two original ukulele pieces for an EP released by Sandwich Islands Network (SIN) Radio entitled “California 808,” and recently completed their own original album called “Uke Shoes.” Surprisingly, they have only been playing the ukulele for five years…and are self-taught! The Your Car Dealer Podcast episode #4 starts off with discussing the upcoming laws that take effect in 2019 that require California used car dealer salespeople to be educated online. The online education that will be required will not be exhaustive and is positive in most cases. Although it may be a bit inconvenient, DMV licensed salespeople that are able to transact on behalf of the dealer should have to go through some type of training. Skipping right through episode 4, Mike Ramos starts to dive into the California Used Car Dealer Insurance Buyers Guide that was published 6 weeks ago. This comprehensive how-to manual is the absolute gold standard for California used car dealers purchasing insurance in 2018 and beyond. Here are just a few of the sections discussed: How many Licensed Motor Vehicle Dealers do not have a Dealer Insurance Policy? Finding the Right Insurance Producer New in Business (aka New Ventures) Leverage your Dealer Insurance Loss Runs 5 quick-tips to consider if you are purchasing dealer insurance: Coverages to Consider for Reasons Less Discussed What Should I Expect During an Inspection? Mike also discusses a recent article written by a Southern California newspaper that specifically Sales binge: Auto slump spurs big deals at SoCal dealerships By HANNAH MADANS | hmadans@scng.com | Orange County Register PUBLISHED: August 31, 2017 at 4:38 pm | UPDATED: September 1, 2017 at 10:03 am Excerpt taken from this article: Tim Fleming, an analyst at Kelley Blue Book, said many of the deals will be on leased vehicles as thousands of cars are returned as leases expire. In Orange County, sales teams were gearing up to hit milestones going into the holiday weekend. Scott Wade, general manager of David Wilson’s Villa Ford in Orange, said his dealership was offering an extra $1,000 in trade-in assistance and clearance rebates of up to $10,000. The dealership, he said, wants to see a 10 percent growth in sales over last year’s holiday weekend. “We feel that we’re better equipped this year, better staffed and we have better inventory,” Wade said. “There’s a lot of pent-up demand we feel like we can tap into.” K.C. Heidler, OCADA’s president and owner of Carmenita Ford in Santa Fe Springs, said “sales are down and inventories are starting to build up,” leading to bigger incentives. Tips for buyers To make the most of car-buying, Montoya suggests doing research and test drives beforehand. All you’ll have to do when things are crowded over the weekend, then, is sign the papers. “You don’t want to arrive there and start the process from the beginning. You won’t get the same level of care and attention you would on a regular day,” he said. Wade said the holiday weekend would be incredibly busy. To keep customers happy, Villa Ford will have food and entertainment for people waiting to buy a car. He suggested customers make an appointment ahead of time to avoid waiting for help on the lot. Another pro tip? Line up financing before going to the dealer. Buyers may also want to keep in mind, Montoya said, that many of the deals expand beyond Labor Day. When they do, you can go later and avoid the crowds. Certified pre-owned vehicles won’t have as many incentives, but may have promotional interest rates, Montoya said. If now’s not the time, Montoya said some deals might be better at the end of the year, but the supply would be much slimmer. Auto sales slump Year-to-date, vehicle sales in Southern California declined 2.3 percent through June according to the California New Car Dealers Association. Car sales have decreased 11.7 percent in the period while light truck sales are up 10.1 percent. Light trucks sales have seen an insurgence due to more construction in the region and low gas prices. In Los Angeles and Orange Counties sales overall decreased 3.3 percent, according to the CNCDA. Auto highlights In the state, the bestselling car was the Honda Civic. The best selling mid-size car was the Honda Accord and the best selling compact/mid-size pickup was the Toyota Tacoma. In July, auto sales in Orange County were down 6.4 percent compared with the same month in 2016, according to OCADA. Sackrison said the year in auto sales for Orange County would likely end with a 3 percent to 4 percent slump compared with last year. Perspective, though, is key. “Sales are still quite high,” Fleming at KBB said. “When you compare it to years past, sales are still at a strong pace, just not at record levels. It could have an impact on deals, especially with dealers where inventory has stocked up. That’s never a good thing. You don’t want cars sitting on the lot for a long time. That’s where more of the deals can be found and why its a good time to buy those 2017 models that are being phased out. The ones sitting on the lots longer have the most flexibility (with price).” Another excerpt taken from a completely different article but basically having the same grim outlook on the used car dealer industry: Car Dealerships Face Conundrum: Get Big or Get Out In the age of Uber and Tesla, locally owned dealerships are becoming a thing of the past. Americans who have been buying cars from the same mom-and-pop dealership for generations could be greeted by a different kind of for-sale sign the next time they visit. Small to mid-size dealer groups are selling their businesses to auto-retail giants or investment firms at a robust clip even as auto sales remain strong. The trend—highlighted by Warren Buffett’s entry into the dealership business in 2014—has gathered momentum as electric, shared and autonomous vehicles threaten to reshape the car business. SANDCAST: Beach Volleyball with Tri Bourne and Travis Mewhirter
Patricia Orozco knew Mike Dodd was serious the day he picked her up at UCLA in 1985. She knew he was serious because, after taking her to Marine Street for a crash course in beach volleyball, he took her to The Kettle for lunch in Manhattan Beach. “And it was like ‘Whoa!’ If you get taken to The Kettle for lunch then this he’s serious,” she said on SANDCAST: Beach Volleyball with Tri Bourne and Travis Mewhirter. Serious enough that, a year later, they wed, and Patty took Dodd’s last name, and 33 years later they remain not only happily married, but business partners and elite coaches in the Manhattan Beach area where Patty began to learn the beach game. Well, Patty is at least an elite coach. Mike is technically, and hilariously, the equipment manager at MB Sand Volleyball Club, and he takes his job seriously enough that when Patty couldn’t make it one day, one of the 12-year-olds commented that MB Sand must be running terribly low on coaches because the equipment guy had to fill in. She had no idea the equipment guy was a five-time Manhattan Beach Open champion and Olympic silver medalist. “The mom just could not wait to call me, because she knows Mike’s background,” Patty said, laughing. “That’s what 12-year-olds can say. The janitor is going to run practice.” Some janitor. And some janitor’s wife, too. Let’s, for a moment, put their prolific playing careers aside – and indeed they were prolific – and examine only their coaching backgrounds. When Patty graduated from UCLA, she took up an assistant opening with the Bruins indoor team. They won a national championship in the very first year. “I knew early on that I wanted to do this,” she said. “I just fell into being a graduate assistant in my fifth year and we won NCAA and it’s like ‘Oh, yeah, alright, I like this. I really like this.’ I was so young at the time, but the fact that what you said had an effect on the player or the play or the outcome, I was hooked. “It just took me a while to get to the coaching part because I was doing my playing part.” And she did her playing part well. A native of Bogota, Colombia, Dodd graduated from high school in 1980 and moved to Santa Fe Springs, where she could learn English and play volleyball for a local club team. Within those six months she had offers to play for UCLA, Hawaii, USC and Oregon. "I remember when I first saw her at a Christmas tournament," then-UCLA women's volleyball Coach Andy Banachowski, who has led his teams to four national championships, told the Los Angeles Times. "I was looking down in the Sports Arena and I saw this girl move incredibly well. What really caught my attention is that I didn't know who she was because I know all the kids in the area with talent." "When Andy came up to me," Orozco told the Times, "I couldn't even understand him. I was even named all-tournament and didn't even know what that meant." The accolades, she’d soon become quite familiar with, setting UCLA single-season kills (627), single-match kills (33) and single-match digs (30). As a senior in 1983, she led the Bruins in kills with 403. She still had yet to step foot on a beach. She finished her grad year at UCLA and competed for a year in Italy, where she initially met Dodd. Who better to teach her the beach game, then, but the man she met in Italy who was in the midst of winning four consecutive Manhattan Beach Opens? Yes, the janitor can coach, too. She proved a quick learner, too, Patty. By 1989, just four years after Mike took her to Marine Street and provided the Beach Volleyball 101 crash course, Patty, partnered with Jackie Silva, won 11 of 13 tournaments. Four times that year, Patty and Mike won tournaments on the same weekend, becoming the first married couple to do so. By the time they finished competing, with six total Manhattan Beach Opens to the family name, the Dodds combined for 89 wins and nearly $2 million in prize money. Now they’re teaching others to compete and thrive like they once did. Aside from serving as the most over-qualified equipment manager in beach volleyball history, both Mike and Patty help with USAV National Team practices. She loves the quiet tenacity of April Ross, the genial intensity of Kelly Reeves, the efficiency of Taylor Crabb and Billy Allen. More than that, above all, as it almost always has been, she loves to coach. Loves to teach. Loves to pass on the gifts that to this day she’s still developing herself. “I’m really enjoying MB Sand,” she said. “It really gives me immense joy to see the kids develop their game and to see them make friendships and different partners. It’s such a healthy environment to build beach volleyball. “I love that about beach volleyball, that the kids need to be great at all of the skills. It just brings me a lot of joy to do it.”
