How does a pastor's kid go from growing up in church to drugs, gang life, carrying a gun—and eventually prison?In this episode of Undeniable, recorded at C3 Church in Calgary, Stephan Guy shares the raw story of how quickly his life spiralled after moving away from home, and how God met him in the middle of the consequences.What began with drugs and working in bars escalated into dealing, violence, gang connections and carrying a handgun. Stephan admits that the amount of drugs he was taking should have destroyed him:“It's only the grace of God that I'm even alive.”After his arrest, Stephan walked away from that life, overcame his addictions with the support of his family and returned to his faith. But two years later, he still had to face the consequences of his past and was sentenced to prison.It was there that Stephan began to understand that God could even use the darkest chapter of his story.A fellow inmate told him he had been praying for a sign that God still loved him—and then Stephan arrived. In this C3 Movement Update Ps Joel Burden (Saints Church KL, & Global Academy Lead) guides us through all things ‘C3 Church Global Academy'. In 2024 a new leadership training pipeline, called the Academy, was launched to help local C3 churches to develop leaders within their context. Now in its 3rd year, Ps Joel sits down with some current Academy coaches, pastors and graduates to share stories, and reflect on the incredible fruit it's producing in churches across the global family. The Academy is a holistic leadership training course with a multifaceted approach featuring crafted video content, guided group sessions, accountability and apprenticing frameworks; underpinned by Senior Minister Coaching Cohorts.
