Listeners of Church for Entrepreneurs that love the show mention: amos, awesome word,The Church for Entrepreneurs podcast has been a game-changer for me in my entrepreneurial journey. Pastor Amos Johnson's ability to simplify the Word of God and apply it to entrepreneurship is truly remarkable. He breaks down complex concepts into easily digestible nuggets of wisdom that are relatable and applicable. Whether you're looking for practical advice or seeking to align your faith with your business, this podcast delivers on all fronts. The teachings have helped me grow as a Christian and business owner, challenging my own prejudices and helping me see the Word and the Trinity in a new light.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Pastor Amos' ability to make scripture relevant and applicable to everyday life as an entrepreneur. His messages are always timely and inspirational, providing encouragement and guidance when I'm feeling discouraged or uncertain in my entrepreneurial journey. The podcasts are short, making them easy to listen to while multitasking, whether I'm testing recipes in the kitchen or developing my business plan. The teachings have not only supported me in my entrepreneurial endeavors but have also helped me stay certain of my "Why" by providing The Word that grounds me.
If there was one potential downside to this podcast, it would be that some episodes may be too heavily focused on the intersection of faith and entrepreneurship for listeners who may not identify as Christians or have a strong religious background. However, even for those individuals, the principles shared can still provide valuable insights into running a purpose-driven business.
In conclusion, The Church for Entrepreneurs podcast is an incredible resource for entrepreneurs looking to align their faith with their business endeavors. Pastor Amos Johnson's teachings provide clarity, revelation, and practical advice from the Word like no one else I've encountered. It has been a blessing in my walk with God and my business, helping me build my faith as both an entrepreneur and a Christian. I cannot recommend this podcast enough if you're seeking spiritual guidance and biblical wisdom in your entrepreneurial journey.
Daily Study: If we desire to receive God's blessings, then we must let go of our preconceived thoughts of how God is going to do it. Our perception of the way God should bring us His blessings is like a spiritual blindfold that blinds us to God's unique blueprint on our lives to receive our blessings. Daily Study: The results we reap are a direct product of the thoughts we think. Our minds are the engines that drive our success; therefore, we have to intentionally program how we think. If we allow worldly thinking to program our minds, then we will reap success mired with sorrows and pain. If our minds have a mixture of worldly and godly programming, then we will be unsuccessful and frustrated. However, if we program our minds to think like God, then we will have success without the hustle and sorrows. Daily Study: If God has called you to be an entrepreneur, the first thing you need to do is change your mindset. The mindset of an entrepreneur is very different from that of an employee. If your mind is not renewed, you will struggle in your calling. Therefore, many entrepreneurs (though not all) must go through a personal wilderness experience—one of lack—for the purpose of mindset renewal, so they can achieve all God has planned for them. Daily Study: Fear is contagious among non-believers because they don't have the antibodies to fight it, which is hope. However, as believers if we are not careful we can catch the fear virus if we give up our hope. The Bible instructs us not to fear like those who have no hope. Us fighting fear with hope is a sign to unbelievers that Jesus is real. Let's hope, not fear. Daily Study: For Satan to destroy our finances, relationships, and calling, we first must give him access to our life. We grant him access by allowing fear into our lives, which binds our spirit. Getting someone saved is the Great Commission. Jesus told His disciples that we are to go into all the world, share the message about Him, make new disciples, and teach them His ways. It all starts with making someone a disciple. To make someone a disciple, you need to lead them through a salvation prayer, helping them believe in their heart what Jesus did on the cross for us and receive Him as Lord. That's how they're saved. It's not about the works they do or how good they are after salvation. It's about a sincere, heartfelt belief. However, salvation requires someone to explain what's happening. So before you lead them in the sinner's prayer, the first goal is to explain why they need salvation, what it means, and what happens after they receive Jesus into their heart. This training will be a little different from a typical session. I'm not going to give you a list of dos and don'ts. Instead, I want you to listen to a mock conversation where I explain salvation to someone and lead them through the process by the end of the conversation. Salvation usually happens through a conversation. It's not just about a moment like, “What if you died today?” It's about sharing, explaining, and giving your personal testimony. After listening, reflect on what stood out to you. How can you apply this in your own life? How can you stay alert for people who are open to hearing about the things of God? In addition to using the mock conversation, include your testimony. How did you come to salvation? The Bible tells us to always be ready to give a reason for the hope we have. Once someone accepts salvation, help them connect with a body of believers. You can invite them to join us at the Church for Entrepreneurs, or better yet, offer to meet regularly and continue teaching them. It's not just about making a disciple—it's about teaching them the ways of Jesus. Believing in Jesus is just the beginning. The next step is learning how to follow Him. I hope this training helps, and I'd love to hear how it works for you as you go out and minister to others. Bible Discussion: Many believers struggle with the idea of living financially off the calling God has given them—whether it's in ministry, business, or good works—but Scripture makes it clear that God intends for His people to be fully supported in their entrepreneurial calling. If you don't expect to live off your calling, you won't; faith operates through expectation, and that expectation must be shaped by God's Word. Just as the Levites were financially supported to serve full-time in the temple, believers today who are called by God should also be compensated so they can devote themselves fully to their assignments. God pays well, and when we obey His calling without complaint, He provides not only for our needs but also for our desires. Whether you are preaching, leading a business, or serving your community, if it is your primary calling, then it is God's will for you to live off it. Romans Series: Romans 14:14–23 teaches that while nothing is unclean in itself, if someone believes something is sinful, it becomes sinful for them. Paul urges believers not to let their personal freedoms in Christ cause others to stumble or fall into sin. Instead of insisting on their rights, they should act in love, pursuing peace and mutual edification. The kingdom of God is not about eating or drinking, but about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. The conversation expanded to include topics like biblical interpretation, counseling methods, and the role of peace and fear in decision-making. Pastor Amos distinguished between following peace and avoiding discomfort, and he urged caution in projecting personal biases onto scripture. Testimonies about healing, personal growth, and wrestling with traditional doctrines enriched the dialogue, with Rosalind sharing her evolving views on baptism, tongues, and modesty. Bible Discussion: Pastor Amos lays a foundation for understanding the three categories of gifts God gives: ministry gifts, natural talents, and supernatural manifestations. He explains that supernatural gifts operate as the Spirit wills, natural skills are under the individual's control, and ministry gifts are divine appointments with specific anointings that can change over time. Drawing from Romans 12:6 and other New Testament scriptures, he clarifies that not everyone has all the gifts—only Jesus did—but that each believer is given gifts for the benefit of the body. Pastor Amos contrasts cessationist and continuationist views, asserting that the gifts are still active today because the “perfect” Paul referred to is a future time when Jesus returns. He emphasizes that all the ministry gifts—including Apostle and Prophet—are still needed, as the Church has not yet reached full maturity in Christ.
