God's Word reminds us again and again that the most important work in the universe is his work of redemption. Studying the Bible will remind us that we have not been called just to be recipients of his grace, but instruments of that same grace in the lives of others. The Bible does more than just remind; it defines how we participate in ministry. There are many passages in Scripture – 2 Corinthians 5:20, 1 Peter 5:1-10, and 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 are just a few. The more you study the Word of God, the more you will become committed to, and skilled in, the practical ministry lifestyle to which all of us have been called. It is through the Bible that we learn that God is our loving creator and constant wooer. God tells us in His Word that His love for us is deep, vast, and unchanging. The truth: He desires to be in close relationship with us, and has specifically designed us with gifts and talents that glorify Him. When we correctly view ourselves through God’s lens — we are so very loved, wanted, and valuable — we can push back on a secular world that says otherwise. The good news: Only God’s view matters!

Today we are discussing why it's important to read God's Word and to know it. We will also discuss the downward spiral of sin with the story of Samson. Then we will discuss what condoning sin does for a nation to finish out the book of Judges. Then we will discuss God's redeeming grace in the book of Ruth. We finish with introducing Samuel in the book of 1 Samuel. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jessica-robinson2/support

We need to be more intentional about growing spiritually. We have small groups during the week and, of course, Sunday morning worship. Regular attendance is important not so we can check something off our list but because we love to grow in our relationship with Christ and those things help us do that. Reading God's Word every day is another important contributor to spiritual growth. And spiritual growth, ultimately, is a sign of a healthy connection to God and a healthy church.

The Men of Iron Podcast is back with the SEASON 2 PREMIERE‼️ Justin & Steve talk about faith goals and how vital it is for men and mentorships to build on that foundation of faith. To read God's Word, spend time in prayer and seek solitude. The ultimate goal for men is to be in relationship with God. We discuss what it looks like to create your faith goals and practical ways to live those goals out. "It's like any relationship you have, you have got to get to know the other person. God is an active and alive presence. How do I get to know God? What does that look like? Before you're married you go on dates with your wife, finding out what she likes, what she's into, you get to know her. The same is true with God. You're getting to know God and what he's like. What's on his heart and what he wants for you. When that's the focus it changes how you approach it." The Season 2 Premiere is brought to you by Cassel, providing professional design and vehicle branding since 1945. Prayer And Reading God's Word Must Go Together by Audio
This teaching focuses on verse 12 and 13 and that "working out" our salvation does not mean to "work for" our salvation but rather that we are to "cultivate" our salvation. As a farmer fertilizes his crop and pulls the weeds, that is what we are called to do so that we can grow fruit. Reading God's Word and repenting of our sin are some of the ways that our faith can be cultivated. We cannot do this on our but God can help us, He is our cultivator and will give us the strength to do it.
