Minnesota-native Matt Butler is the inventor of Rollors. The concept was first visualized on downtime between deployments overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan supporting combat operations. Upon return, Matt developed a prototype in his garage that was a hit at BBQs, parties, and other outdoor get-togethers. Around the time of the recession; Matt saw many local veterans out of work that had the resident wood working skills that helped spark the light bulb onto a means to help them. He then decided he wanted to employ local veterans to help construct the wooden disks and wooden, cone-shaped targets used in the game in their home workshops. After countless number of games were handcrafted, packaged and sold through the website, church, craft fairs, and other types of venues it was then distributed in brick and mortar retailers across American and has even started distribution outside of the United States. After helping numerous veterans get themselves back on their feet from the recession he has it developed outside of the United States to be able to get it to a price point so many more people and families can enjoy the fun.Rollors has turned into an award-winning and unique game which is revolutionizing beach and backyard fun.Rollors | The Next Great Outdoor Game – Rollors Outdoor Yard GameTally Tumbler – Tally TumblerDOD SkillBridge Program (osd.mil)

Matt Butler - Air Force Veteran, Inventor of Rollors, an Award Winning Outdoor Yard Game Matt didn't plan to spend a career in the Air Force, but after 9-11, he felt called to continue serving past his initial 4 year commitment. He spent his career flying surveillance aircraft all over the world. It was during one of his many deployments that the idea for Rollors was sparked. Often during deployments you think of home, family and friends. Matt was thinking of Minnesota and his desire for friends and family to hang out and socialize. When he got back state-side he began working on a prototype and people started to get interested. He sold his first 50 sets and realized he might have started something. Matt would tell you his experience in the Air Force has helped him as an entrepreneur and when he has time he loves to pass that knowledge along to other veteran entrepreneurs. Rollors Started with a desire to get people together, off their phones and enjoying the outdoors, Rollors has done that and more. Rollors is a mash up of other traditional games like Bocce Ball, Bowling and Horseshoes. It takes the best parts of those and adds in easy transport and set up. Rollors is an award-winning and unique game that is sure to be a hit at your next outdoor gathering or family event. Get one today! Check out who else has stepped into the Veteran Crowd Spotlight. It's just a ball. You roll it. Can't be that complicated. Why would someone even part with their hard-earned dollars to buy a ball rolling game? Well, Matt and his team at Rollors have over 600 wholesale accounts after designing the game out of his garage. Obviously, there's more to the game than simply rolling a piece of wood. He's had to learn how to manage vendors, contracting language and inventory management, as well keeping up with demand. Matt Butler talks to us about his first wholesale account and how he had to learn how to grow his business by first not knowing what a wholesale account even was. Not knowing what a UPC code was and how to get one, how "packaging" leads to reorders from retailers, and educating the public on what the game is were challenges he had to overcome in order to get the traction he needed.
