My special guest tonight is author and researcher Craig Roberts who's here to share some some of the most heinous crimes ever committed by the U.S. Government.  From World War II to present, there has been hidden within the highest levels of government secrets that you are not supposed to discover. During the period of 1940 to this day the power brokers, working from their positions of trust, have committed and then covered up the most heinous of crimes known to mankind. Investigative journalist Craig Roberts, author of "Kill Zone--a Sniper Looks at Dealey Plaza", now provides us with the results of his ten -year investigation regarding the secret crimes and coverups of the U.S. Government. You will read his case files on such subjects as the Japanese "Devil Unit 731" who experiments on American POWs in WWII with germ warfare weapons--and what happened when the war ended and the commanding officer was hired by the government instead of hanged for war crimes; Operation Paperclip in WWII when the U.S. brought Nazi scientists to America to work for us on our weapons programs instead of standing trial as war criminals; CIA and military mind control experiments on unsuspecting citizens--including children--without our knowledge; Secret drug and bacteriological weapons experiments on the American population; Atomic guinea pigs, Agent Orange, and the Gulf War Syndrome; what really happened to over 30,000 U.S. POWs after World War II, Korea and Vietnam; International assassinations, drug smuggling and money laundering; What the media did not tell you about the shoot down of TWA 800, the bombing of Pan AM 103, the Oklahoma City bombing, the crash of Arrow Air in Gander, Newfoundland, the derailment of the Sunset Limited in Arizona, the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, and much more….If you're enjoying Mysterious Radio, now is the time to join Patreon. Show Notes Episode 480: Find Me…Fabio This week Host Dave Bledsoe was kicked out of a karaoke bar for attempting to perform a “Full Monty Version” of Rod Stewart's “If You Want My Body”. (Again) On the show this week we begin our tribute to Love (Exciting and New) with the man face and body synonymous with romance in the 90's: Fabio Fanzoni.  Along the way we learn that Dave thought he was sexy once. (He wasn't) Then we dive right into the history of the medium that made Fabio so famous. (Sense and Sensibility walked so Texas Splendor could inspire masturbatory fantasies.) Then we meet the man meat, Fabio.  From his origins as a slightly naughty altar boy in Italy, to his time in the Italian Army and finally his arrival in the United States with nothing but a few dollars and a dream. (Also the perfect body and the perfect face.) We trace his career from the covers of slightly smutty books to his meeting with the goose that killed the golden career. Our Sponsor this week is Gordon's Goose Guard, got geese, get Gordon's. We open the show with footage from Fabio's last ride and close with Andy Eversole, whose shirt isn't good enough for him. Kate Wolf and Eric Newman are joined by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, novelist, and translator Forrest Gander to discuss his new book, Mojave Ghost. A long poem situated along the 800-mile length of the San Andreas Fault, which runs from Northern California where Gander lives to his birthplace in the Southern California Desert, the work reflects both exterior and interior landscapes with tender precision and heightened awareness. Gander moves through memory, grief, and fault lines— in the earth, our country, and himself. He confronts what it means to be a self that contains divisions born out of time, experience, and relationships to other people, both living and gone. Also, Simon Critchley, author of Mysticism, returns to recommend A Most Remarkable Creature by Jonathan Meiburg, and give a tip of the hat to Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson.

In the stillness of a dense Newfoundland forest, a hidden cemetery whispers a  tale both tragic and triumphant. This week on the Ordinary Extraordinary Cemetery Podcast Jennie and Dianne explore the St. Martin-in-the-Woods Cemetery, a plane crash site turned burial ground in the autumn of 1946. Among the victims were refugees who had endured the Holocaust, seeking a new beginning, only to face another devastating loss. This November, we reflect on gratitude amidst tragedy, honoring those who came to the rescue of survivors and remembering those whose lives were ended. To see photos of the cemetery, view this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/G1c1uAPmUdg?si=EC2eO-P_0k2E5un4Cemetery Photos taken by Anan Sahadi 05/12/2022 and posted to www.findagrave.comPhotos of survivor being transferred to a raft and Gander rescue helicopter team: U.S. Coast Guard on file in the Public Domain Photo of Dr. Samuel Martin and rescue crew published in The Denver Post, September 24, 1946Follow this link to view additional photos and listen to broadcast footage:http://www.ganderairporthistoricalsociety.org/_html_4658/Sabena_crash.htmOrdinary Extraordinary Cemetery Podcast merch now available! https://oecemetery.etsy.comOrdinary Extraordinary Cemetery podcast special tea blend, Cemetery Story, can be purchased here:https://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=231274Resources used to research this episode include:Historical Society, Gander Airport. On the 23rd anniversary of September 11, here's a heartwarming story from that day we don't hear often. When flights were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, the town's 11,000 residents welcomed over 6,000 stranded passengers. Local folks turned schools into dorms, pharmacies filled prescriptions for free, and everyone chipped in with meals and a place to stay. The visitors were treated to tours and concerts, feeling so loved that they didn't want to leave. To thank Gander, they started a scholarship fund that's grown to over a million dollars, helping hundreds of local kids. It's amazing how kindness can turn a dark day into lifelong connections.
