In this episode, Alan and Matt discuss having a brush with Shark Tank, the benefits of developing a strong work ethic at a young age, and how Matt is working on being a fast decision-maker without being a prisoner to the moment. They also talk about the different categories within the restaurant category, the unique concept First Watch is creating with experiences, and the culture that makes it all work. Matt wraps up the episode by touching on why the new nature of marketing requires an unstructured team of specialists, the impact of Gen Z entering their earning years, and why leaders need to combat the high burnout rates in marketing.Matt Eisenacher got his first job in the financial sector with PricewaterhouseCoopers, but soon realized he wanted to figure out where a company is going, not measure when it has been. This led him to pursue his MBA and begin his marketing career in CPG. Matt worked for Nestle and then Abbott Nutrition before he shifted into the restaurant industry with Piada Italian Street Food. In 2019, he joined First Watch as the Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy and Innovation before taking on the role of Chief Brand Officer in 2023. Matt tells us his role as Chief Brand Officer is less about marketing to consumers and more about infusing consistent brand promise into everything First Watch does. Whether it is restaurant design or menu design, Matt is putting the team and experience first and bringing the brand to all parts of the organization.First Watch has been around for 40 years and specializes in daytime dining with an on-trend menu for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They do whatever they can to be the “anti-chain” restaurant. First Watch is not trying to appeal to everyone. In fact, it's their specialization that makes them so special. Brand awareness may be low, but they leverage their business model constraints to drive demand in a quite organic way with highly targeted digital messaging, top-quality food, exceptional experiences, and word-of-mouth.Doing things differently starts at the top for First Watch. While many C-suite leaders are becoming more disconnected from their front-line workers, First Watch leadership commits a huge amount of time to listening to restaurant employees directly and being as responsive as possible to the feedback they get. This “you first” culture starts with happy employees and results in happy customers. In this episode, you'll learn:What it means to be an anti-chain restaurant and generate demand quietlyHow a “you first” culture starts with happy employees and results in happy customersThe benefits of business model constraints Key Highlights: [01:40] Inventing Shark Tank adjacent lawn bags[04:30] From the Midwest to finance to CPG to restaurants[08:00] First Watch is an anti-chain restaurant.[10:30] Driving growth with a self-imposed business model constraint[12:30] The First Watch experience[14:50] What kind of restaurants are winning in the post-COVID world?[16:00] “You first” culture[20:00] What does the Chief Brand Officer do?[22:20] Driving demand, quietly[26:20] The impact of a strong work ethic from a young age[30:25] Being fast without being a prisoner of the moment[31:40] Building a team of unstructured specialists[35:30] Gen Z is entering their earning years.[37:20] Burnout is the big one...[40:15] A little Taylor talkLooking for more?Visit our website for links to resources mentioned in this episode and ways to connect with the guest! Episode 70 Cedar Rapids Iowa Police Dept. Matt Jenatscheck “The Rolodex” ATO Family please welcome one of our blue family members that has traveled over 800 miles to take the stage for the listeners. Nearly a year ago the ATO received a heartfelt message of gratitude, and it formed a new friendship many states away. This rollercoaster of a story will touch on many topics and have many emotions but when we get to the “Never Give Up on You” exit music the listener will be reminded that Police work is the same everywhere, the trauma is the same everywhere, and even trained first responders need help to survive. In July of 2022 an incident occurred that changed the direction of this officer's life but also reminded him of very old wounds that existed from the life of being in law enforcement for over two decades. The cumulative trauma officers endure daily can be as damaging as a rifle being leveled at you during a traffic stop and if, untreated, can weigh on you and become too much. The weight of the badge is heavy not only for the one that wears it but also the ones they goes home to. We have seen the weight ruin relationships with family and friends and we have also seen that NO ONE is immune to the effects of this weight. The message today will be clear: YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Here to present this story today is Joe, Kent, and the Great Dallas SWAT Operator Steve Claggett. Todays guest is the husband to his beautiful wife Jen, father to Chloe and Hailee, and a true public servant to the state of Iowa. Special Shout Out to Cedar Rapids Blair Klostermann as she and Matt recently won their Department's Medal of Valor Award.  Matt Jenatscheck the ATO stage is yours to tell us about the “Rolodex”. Critical Incidents:  The brutal murder of Lynnsey Donald on April 21, 2015. The suspect attacked her, as her 7 year child watched, and stabbed her to death in a parking lot. The suspect received life in prison with no parole. Officer involved shooting in July 2022 in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Acronyms used: EMDR- Eye Movement Desinsitization Reprocessing

Tonight, on "It's Real Talk Radio" we are joined with "Israel United In Christ (IUIC)" as these brothers have once again come to grace us with another powerful discussion. This is our fourth installment with IUIC and this time, we will be discussing the recent controversy with Kanye West (now known as Ye) and Kyrie Irving. The focus on this discussion is to bring forth scriptures and prophecies from the Bible that speaks on many of these events to come, while also pointing out the hypocrisy, lies and conspiracy, to keep the so called African Americans / Blacks / people of color from the truth, as it is written in the Bible. It is now being reported that Kanye West has loss his billionaire status and has now officially been removed from the Forbes' billionaire list, now that his partnership with Adidas is over. Ye infuriated the Jewish elites and as a result, Adidas, Footlocker, Gap, Balenciaga, TJ Maxx and other companies have all severed ties with the icon. But were Ye's word's truly hateful, or did people just not like what he had to say, got in their feelings, and used their power, money and resources to seek revenge? Kyrie Irving quickly learned how much the NBA thinks Black lives matter, when he recently shared the link to the 2018 film, "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America" n his Twitter page. After being pressed by reporters, Kyrie frustratingly explained his reason for the post and that he's not divisive and embraces all walks of life. Kyrie further went on to explain himself, while also speaking on behalf of Blacks, in defense for all of the horror and atrocities they have faced. We are honored to hear scripture and commentary by Captain Amaziah, Officer Matt and Officer Phineas and Officer Micah. Join us, as we dive in on this trending topic of anti-Semitism hate speech, the Jewish elites and the original Jews that the Bible speaks of. Oh yea, it just got REAL!

Tonight, on It's Real Talk Radio, Captain Amaziah, Officer Matt, and Officer Phinehas, of "Israel United In Christ (IUIC)" return for a third installment, to discuss biblical prophecies and the laws of the Most High God, as we look on to what's been going on over in Europe. With Russia's recent invasion and brutal attack on Ukraine, global tention is rising and at its highest in recent history. President Biden and the United States military have been facing criticism for not doing more and being better prepared, as the sanctions and penalties Russia has faced, hasn't stopped their vicious attack on Ukraine. It has been made clear that President Putin wants decapitation of the Ukraine leadership and he is not backing down from that decision. The media has been used to apply extreme pressure for the United States to do more, basically egging on the United States to respond militarily. President Putin; however, has threatened a nuclear strike on any country who dares interfere. World War 3 has been talked about and predicted for many years and what has taken place in Ukraine is probably the closest we've been yet. Nuclear warfare was just discussed in our last discussion with IUIC, as the Bible states God will destroy the earth with fire. It's not just what's going on in Europe. The way we've been treating each other domestically, is reflective of the evil of man. Brother against brother, sister against sister and brother against sister, are concepts we are all too familiar with, and it has been occurring at an alarming rate! We will have to answer to God for these atrocities. This is an urgent PSA tonight, as Captain Amaziah and brothers from IUIC are ready to bring the scriptures and enlighten the people on repentance and getting right with the Most High God, as we are living in what many believe to be the last days. Officer Matt Schuman has been a police officer in St. George, Utah, for ten years. He is currently assigned to Dixie Middle School, where his quick intervention saved a student's life. The student arrived at the front office to call her parents.  She wasn't feeling well.  Officer Schuman caught the student as she collapsed, went into a seizure, and stopped breathing. Matt was able to revive her using CPR.  Within moments, the student went into cardiac arrest.  He continued CPR until medics arrived to Life Flight the student to a hospital in Las Vegas. That same day, Officer Schuman was returning home from the school when he heard a dispatch call about an infant choking.  Despite being on his way home, Matt diverted to the call and saved the child's life. Twice in one day.  What a phenomenal man and a real credit to the St. George Police Department and community.
