Our guest this week does just this. I've known of Jon Young for decades, heard of his 8 Shields practice and have friends who have trained in his Art of Mentoring, but it was only this last September that we met in person and I was struck by the deep inner stillness he brings to everything he does, the sense that his awareness stretches out across space and through time and he's listening to layers upon layers of meaning. Jon Young is a deep nature-people-self connection researcher, mentor, naturalist, wildlife tracker, author, consultant, and storyteller. Mentored by his grandmothers, Tom Brown, Jr., and a host of elders and experts, he has spent over 40 years leading the field of nature-based community building. His work explores the impact of nature on mentoring, human intelligence, spirituality, well-being, and development, influencing tens of thousands worldwide. He is the author and co-author of seminal works such as What the Robin Knows and Coyote's Guide to Connecting to Nature, and has appeared in documentaries including The Animal Communicator. After Maddie Smith quit drinking, she just didn't know what to do with her hands ... until she discovered Cross Fit and built her epic physique! Now she's a top contender for “Ms. Health and Fitness 2026”, and she's doing it all for a veteran nonprofit. We talked about how she overcame alcoholism, an eating disorder, and endured recovery groups that didn't understand her trauma. Now, in peak physical condition she shared advice on conquering addictions and helping veterans through a partnership with Shields and Stripes, a veteran support program founded by Steve Nisbet, fellow athlete and Air Force Pararescue Specialist veteran. Nisbet described the life of an elite “PJ”, conducting casualty evac missions in combat zones, the tragic death of a fellow PJ, the Army's betrayal and the emotional toll of his service. But he powered through the pain and used his physical training expertise to create the acclaimed Shields and Stripes veteran support program. The program draws from the type of sports therapy used by pro athletes and Special Operations teams and combines it with customized nutrition plans and therapy from experienced psychologists. Nisbet described the incredible results attendees experienced at recent programs in Arizona and Florida, and shared stories of vets who no longer need the medications doctors said they couldn't live without. Smith also expressed her shared love of fitness as medicine, and what she will do if crowned contest winner, “If I win, I'm donating the $20K prize to the Shields & Stripes Foundation. I'm competing to break the stigma around recovery & mental health, not to win money. At breakfast, the group learns that Caroline has been killed, stunning Colton, who had partnered with her and now worries the fallout will land on him. The house slips into interrogation mode, dissecting the reactions of those tied to the trees the night before.Ron claims he heard light footsteps, a detail Lisa Rinna nervously echoes, raising eyebrows. Eric believes there were two Traitors, insisting he heard a laugh. Michael's answers strike some as calculated, while Tiffany quietly zeroes in on Yam Yam and Michael as suspects.The reveal of Caroline's murder hits hard. Being taken out face-to-face by two Housewives leaves her shaken, especially after Lisa coldly shuts down any idea of reconnecting outside the game.The mission sends players into the woods to retrieve spears and fire them into beasts, stripping shields as names are shouted. Shields are ripped away from nearly everyone, including Tiffany, Monet, Michael, and Ron, fueling paranoia. Candace grows uneasy as suspicion shifts from Ron to Tiffany, fearing a repeat of the Porsche mistake.At the round table, Colton aggressively leads the charge against Tiffany, accusing her of overplaying. Eric doubles down, claiming he's “99% sure” based on a laugh he heard. Candace pleads for caution, insisting Ron is still her top suspect, but the group steamrolls ahead.The vote is overwhelming. Tiffany is banished and reveals she was a Faithful, stunning the house. Colton admits he made a mistake but vows not to change his aggressive style. Michael now eyes Colton, Rob, and Stephen as possible Traitors.Episode 5: “If You're Gonna Come for Me, I'll Finish You”The fallout from Tiffany's banishment lingers. Eric and Colton express guilt, while Dorinda criticizes Ron for manipulating without building relationships. Suspicion quietly shifts toward Lisa, whose silence is becoming noticeable.The mission ups the stakes: retrieve missing statues to complete a fountain. The twist is deadly. If no one takes a shield, there's no murder. If anyone does, the Traitors strike. With seconds left, the group succeeds, raising the pot to $106,000, but Alan won't reveal whether shields were taken.Back at the castle, tensions erupt. Ron accuses Michael and Dorinda of being Traitors, igniting a volatile kitchen clash between Michael and Colton. Michael accuses Colton of manipulation and isolating him the way Tiffany was targeted. Voices rise, alliances fracture, and players storm out.At the round table, Michael compares his situation to Tiffany's, calling Colton's behavior conniving. A controversial moment follows when Michael implies Colton's secret-keeping makes him dangerous. Michael apologizes for offense but insists his point was gameplay-related.The vote is decisive. Michael is banished and revealed to be a Faithful. Most of the house feels relief, labeling him disruptive rather than strategic.With Michael gone, Colton becomes the new focal point, while suspicion continues to build around Lisa's quiet game.In the turret, the Traitors learn the truth: no shields were taken.
