We received a lot of positive feedback from episode 59 on the "So You Want To Be A Scout" Segment. Peter opens this show with a follow up to that with some examples of people that have made the jump from the hockey blogging community to a hockey job. There are several examples from recent hirings of friends of the show such as Gus Katsaros, Ryan Biech and JD Burke to DobberProspects alumni such as Brendan Ross and Dave McDonald. Pete gives more feedback on how to make the jump. DobberProspects Calgary Flames and long time contributor and Editor Joel Henderson guests on the show to discuss several WHL prospects leading up to the coming season and some Calgary Flames prospects before recapping his DPFHL Fantasy Draft. Thanks for listening
We talk about Micheal Ferland and how his contract affects the Canucks' ability to sign Boeser, read the /r/Canucks thread from the day Loui Eriksson was signed, and talk about the offseason brain worms of a pair of radio personalities. We also get into Ryan Biech and how his hiring managed to turn into an argument about the Vancouver Media.

This week on the show that’s still grieving, I reflect a bit on the takeaway lessons of Jason Botchford’s friendship and incredible professional impact, and how I feel changed personally and professionally since his passing. I wanted to put together a tribute show this week collecting stories from people who knew him like I did, and people who knew him better than me. But the timing didn’t feel quite right to do that. I couldn’t bring myself to do it, anyway. Not yet. But I did share my own stories of the man and the way he helped me with CHRIS FABER of CanucksArmy on his podcast, and with his permission have republished that conversation in full with my own introduction. I strongly recommend Faber’s full podcast, talking with Georgia Twiss, myself, Jackson McDonald, J.D. Burke, Harman Dayal, Clay Imoo, Cory Hergott and Ryan Biech. It runs over 5 hours and is as cathartic as it is heart-wrenching. You can find it by searching for Canucks Conversation wherever you get your podcasts. I want to thank Chris for getting me going and allowing me to spill these stories at a time when I did not feel up to talking to anyone about anything. The kid can interview. To wrap up, RBR Wrestling's William R. Washington joins the podcast to talk about the sad state of Monday Night Raw, where Drew McIntyre can go without Roman Reigns, a potential Undisputed Era debut, the New Daniel Bryan, and why Asuka has to win the Smackdown Women's title at TLC against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair (70:00). You can follow Chase on Twitter, like him on Facebook, read him on his website, and even email him at chasethomaspodcast@gmail.com if that is something you would like to do, too.

Ryan Biech is in the house! Or rather, I'm in Ryan Biech's house. The point is, I am joined on the PITB Podcast by Ryan Biech, prospect analyst for Sportsnet 650 and Canucks writer for Canucks Army, The Athletic, and Canucks.com. We delve into the Canucks' prospect pool, particularly their lack of depth on defence. We talk about the potential of Olli Juolevi, the abundance of prospects with a third-pairing ceiling, and wild cards like Jack Rathbone and Matt Brassard. One thing is clear: the Canucks need more high-end talent on defence. That likely means taking a defenceman with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 draft. Who might the Canucks take? I ask Biech about several defencemen that will potentially be available for the Canucks, including Quinn Hughes, Adam Boqvist, Evan Bouchard, and Noah Dobson. Who do you think the Canucks should pick seventh overall?

TWIST! TWIST! TWIST! M. Night Shymalan makes his (last?) entry on "ATM10" as we watch and review the controversial "film" The Village. Ryan Biech (@ryanbiech) joins me once again as he sets his sights on defending the movie... sort of. I attack the movie... sort of. It's a weird episode as we discuss the auteur's license, twist endings, Bryce Dallas Howard's hotness, Ripley's hotness and the proper term for Adrian Brody's issue. All that plus IMDB parent's guide, fun facts and awards. (NEXT WEEK: "Collateral")
What happens when a rugged climatologist predicts a new ice age will happen in a hundred years or so? Well if it's a Roland Emmerich movie, chances are he's WAY wrong and it happens several days later. Ryan Biech from the "Game Time Decision" podcast (@GTDpod) joins me this week as we discuss CGI wolves, outrunning cold, Sela Ward's cougish hotness, proper character development, hypothermia and what day "The Day After Tomorrow" actually was. All that plus a trip through the IMDB parent's guide, Fun Facts and Awards. (Next Week: "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
