pWotD Episode 3134: Survivor Series: WarGames (2025) Welcome to popular Wiki of the Day, spotlighting Wikipedia's most visited pages, giving you a peek into what the world is curious about today. With 420,997 views on Sunday, 30 November 2025 our article of the day is Survivor Series: WarGames (2025).The 2025 Survivor Series: WarGames, also promoted as Survivor Series: WarGames San Diego, was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was the 39th annual Survivor Series and took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California, held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This was the fourth annual Survivor Series based around the WarGames match, a team-based steel cage match where the roofless cage surrounds two rings placed side by side. This was the first Survivor Series to take place in an outdoor venue, the first to take place in a stadium, the first to be held in a Major League Baseball venue, and the second to be held in the U. S. state of California, after the 2018 event in Los Angeles. It featured the first WarGames match to take place inside a stadium since July 1988, which was held by the former World Championship Wrestling (WCW). This was also the first Survivor Series to broadcast on Netflix internationally and on ESPN's direct-to-consumer streaming service in the United States. The event also featured John Cena's last appearance at both Survivor Series and on PPV as an in-ring performer due to his retirement from professional wrestling at the end of 2025.Four matches were contested at the event, including two WarGames matches. In the main event, which was a men's WarGames match, The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed), Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar defeated CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), and Roman Reigns, while in the women's WarGames match, which was the opening bout, AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley defeated Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). In other matches contested on the card, Dominik Mysterio defeated John Cena to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and Stephanie Vaquer defeated Nikki Bella to retain the Women's World Championship. The event also featured the returns of Liv Morgan and Austin Theory following their respective injury hiatuses. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 05:13 UTC on Monday, 1 December 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Survivor Series: WarGames (2025) on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Aditi.
Visit our website ➡️➡️➡️ https://www.majesticproduction.com/Folks, this episode is absolutely loaded — maybe one of our biggest ever. We're talking WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025, the huge matches, the unbelievable moments, the winners, the losers, and of course… the disasters. And believe me, there were disasters. Hilarious ones!First, the Pro Wrestling Drama this week was off the charts. Brock Lesnar — a tremendous athlete, a monster — walked out for his big entrance and slipped right on his butt. You can't script this stuff! Absolutely incredible. And the hypocrisy from AEW fans? Totally pathetic. Claudio Castagnoli winning the CMLL World Title is suddenly a “historic triumph,” but Trick Williams winning the TNA World Title is “bad for business”? Give me a break! These people are unhinged. And speaking of unhinged — Samoa Joe as an older champion is “beautiful storytelling,” but CM Punk being an older champion is “a disaster”? Ridiculous! Bret Hart is also on a podcast warpath, yelling at everybody, and honestly… it's kind of amazing. So much more, you won't believe it.Then we covered the Pro Wrestling News, and let me tell you — wild week. AEW is avoiding putting Kenny Omega in long singles matches, which is probably smart because the guy is basically held together with super glue at this point. Jushin Thunder Liger came out of retirement to wrestle Joey Janela in a match so bad it should be illegal. Tetsuya Naito won his first title since leaving NJPW — big deal, huge! And of course… much more! Then the MAIN EVENT of the podcast: our full, unfiltered, unbelievably honest WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 Review. We talked about the good, the bad, and the very ugly from this incredible show. The match card? Stacked like you wouldn't believe:Men's WarGames: CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and Roman Reigns vs. The Vision, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar — total chaos!Women's WarGames: Rhea, Iyo, Alexa, Charlotte & AJ Lee vs. Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Kabuki Warriors & Becky Lynch — unbelievable star power!John Cena (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio — Intercontinental Championship drama!Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Nikki Bella — a huge Women's World Title showdown! And to top it all off, we watched one of the strangest matches in wrestling history: Super Festus (Doc Gallows) vs. The Power Uti… in Nigeria. Yes, really. And yes, it was as bizarre as it sounds. One of the greatest episodes we've ever done — maybe the greatest. Tremendous insight. Tremendous energy. Tremendous wrestling. Wrestling has been uneventful lately, but recent developments on SmackDown have sparked interest.Drew McIntyre is being positioned as a key member of "the Vision" stable, possibly replacing Seth Rollins.Drew has lost many matches in the past, but aligning him with Paul Heyman and others could revitalize his character.Bronson Reed is being elevated and is no longer treated as a secondary character.WWE often struggles to build multiple stars at once, focusing too much on one or two at a time. The Bloodline and Judgment Day stables succeeded because every member had a role and story. There's skepticism about WWE's long-term planning, especially with sudden changes due to injuries.Merchandise and branding are a big focus, sometimes at the expense of storytelling.Judgment Day members are likely to become babyfaces soon due to their popularity.Managers are lacking in WWE; bringing back more managers could help talent who struggle with promos. The women's division is giving midcard titles to less experienced but marketable wrestlers. Some matches and segments (e.g., Maxine Dupree vs. Becky Lynch, Jade Cargill's push) are criticized for prioritizing looks over in-ring skill.Ticket and merchandise prices are rising, but many feel the product quality isn't keeping up.Nostalgia acts (like John Cena) are used to boost interest, but there's concern about what comes after. The show's structure sometimes puts the biggest moments at the start, making the rest feel less important. There's debate about past booking decisions, like John Cena's role in the Nexus storyline.New talent like Jevon Evans shows promise, but there's concern about how WWE will develop them. The episode ends with thanks to listeners and promotion for related shows.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wrestling-soup--1425249/support.

Jey Uso picked up a big win over The Miz, which sparked discussion about why Miz—Cena's most frequent opponent—wasn't included in the legend's retirement tour. Meanwhile, Rusev stunned Damien Priest, and Matt Cardona (formerly Zack Ryder) made his surprise return as a mystery challenger before falling to LA Knight, just as #FBCBeKnowin predicted. Is Cardona officially on his way back to WWE? Sheamus toppled Nakamura, while upcoming matches include GUNTHER vs. Je'Von Evans and Solo Sikoa vs. a mystery opponent on Raw, plus Carmelo Hayes vs. Bronson Reed and Penta vs. Finn Balor on SmackDown. The crew debates who got “snubbed” from the tournament after Cena captured the Intercontinental Championship to become a certified Grand Slam Champion. Attention then turns to Survivor Series War Games, with predictions nearly finalized. Team Punk—CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and a mystery partner—are slated to face The Vision's crew of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and another TBA. Bang's bold call: Damien Priest joins Team Punk while Aleister Black aligns with The Vision. Could Lesnar and Reigns return to shake up the card? And more importantly… do we care? Women's War Games is heating up as Nikki Bella's shocking heel turn against Stephanie Vaquer sets the stage: Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, and two TBD teammates take on Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and The Kabuki Warriors. Meanwhile, SmackDown may stage a classic 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination match featuring MFT versus Sami Zayn, Rey Fenix, Nakamura, and The Motor City Machine Guns.
