Peter calls believers to live in harmony with one another. This life is marked by unity, compassion, love, humility, and sympathy. He urges them not to repay evil for evil, or insult for insult, but instead to bless others, reflecting the grace they themselves have received. Peter reminds his readers that they are called to this way of life, inheriting a blessing in return. Quoting from Psalm 34, he emphasizes that those who desire to love life and see good days must turn from evil, control their speech, and actively seek peace. Finally, Peter reassures believers that God watches over the righteous and listens to their prayers, while standing against those who do evil. This assurance provides both encouragement and a sobering reminder of God’s justice. Visit us online at: RenewalChurch.net

We are called to find the community where we can serve others within our own capacity and in accordance with our temperament. It doesn't matter if we are very private or outgoing. Looking out for the good of others and putting them first, at our own cost, not self-serving at all.

The Summary
One of the first things people will notice about us is the way we live and talk. We need to live in such a way that they will notice that we are not like the people in the world around us, that our lives are not about us, but about Christ.

Pastor Mike remains in the study on 1 Peter and we discuss what it means to "Love people in Spite of..." all the things they are doing that seem so unlovable. We are all commanded according to Peter to love people as Christ loved and still loves us. It's only as we are willing and able to submit our hearts to Christ can we love as Christ loves. In the same fashion that we are to love as God loves we are also to hate as God hates... Does that sound strange to hear that God hates? What does He hate? God hates evil, of all kinds and we as true followers and lovers of God need to learn to hate evil as He does and then love people in the same way in spite of... Listen to be challenged and encouraged...
