Easter changes everything! We serve a Living Lord and one day we will join Him in Heaven and enjoy Him for all eternity. But that’s not the whole story. We must not only look to Jesus for a ticket to Heaven. Like Mary, we have an opportunity to encounter the risen Jesus TODAY! And that encounter has the power to change everything in our lives and in our world. I want to challenge us to think about Jesus’ Resurrection and how an encounter with the Living Lord can give us new life right now—not just for eternity, but for every day!

In this text, we see Paul’s arguments work like this: “You have been, therefore, so then.” He will say you have been raised with Christ, so put to death the things that are not consistent with your new identity. Then you can put on the things that fit your new identity. Too many of us are stuck living a life that is consumed with things that are no more. We live as if we have not been raised with Christ instead of embracing the new identity that Christ has purchased on our behalf. Visit us online at: www.RenewalChurch.net

PLAN: 1.
Do you believe the command to be thankful in all things is an unreasonable command for Christians? Paul certainly believes that our knowledge of God and his gospel should lead the believer to do everything out of gratitude for the finished work of Christ.
Pastor Dan suggests some New Year's resolutions.
The Gospel message declares that sin has been forgiven, death has been defeated, Jesus reigns and we can join the kingdom of God. In responding to the Gospel we are recognizing that Jesus is king and living as citizens of his kingdom. Colossians 3:1-17 gives us a picture of what it looks like to shed our old citizenship and put on that which shows we are members of the kingdom of God.

When a caterpillar transforms into a Monarch butterfly, it’s new appearance doesn’t resemble at all what it once was. The Apostle Paul delivers this challenge in his letter to the church at Colossae stating, “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” In this message from Colossians 3:1-17, Pastor Chad will help us learn to put away our old self and put on our new life in Christ. Be sure to invite a friend.

There are certain ingredients that will NEVER make a cake or a dessert. Cabbage, beets, slimy spinach, and pickled pigs feet are examples of foods that CAN be eaten but never enjoyed as a dessert. PEACE works in a similar way. There are ingredients necessary for peace to take hold in your life. Fortunately, the Apostle Paul spells out what these ingredients are.

Ever feel like the Gospel is only for beginners? Something we should talk about with unbelievers, but grow out of as we mature? Paul has a different opinion. See what happens when the Gospel and Life collide.
