Transforming Perspectives | Are you aware, Jesus knowing the intent of men's hearts, asked of many presumably seeking Him, ‘whom do you seek'? Biblically, a definitive question, each of us will have to answer of ourselves. The Gospel accounts reveal many seek to witness the miraculous, some come to be amongst the crowd, others out of curiosity, while others seeking upon hearing, as the report of the woman who met Jesus at the well, ‘come see a man who told me all about myself.'Significantly so, is our soul's desire to seek and find God, a formidable response of our hearts which pursuit expanses beyond the limits of temporal perceptions, but go after His very presence. Wherein resides in Him all that consists of the Kingdom of GOD.Pray, Read and Study | Matthew Chapter 6 verses 19-34.Reclaimed and Edited Episode of Season One. __________________LINKS, PRODUCTS AND RESOURCES | AUDIO EPISODES available Podcast, Music and Radio Platforms.WEBPAGE |- You, Life and God Podcast powered by Buzzsprout. Live in the Core Group -- Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” 1. It Aligns Us with God's Priorities When we seek the Kingdom first, we're aligning our hearts with God's will, purposes, and timing. It shifts us from self-centered living to God-centered living. Matthew 6:10 (NKJV): “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” 2. It Brings Divine Provision God promises that if we put Him first, “all these things”—our needs—will be taken care of. We don't chase blessings—they follow Kingdom seekers. Philippians 4:19 (NKJV): “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” 3. It Produces Peace in a Chaotic World Seeking the Kingdom replaces worry with worship. Instead of striving in anxiety, we rest in His reign. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV): “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” 4. It Cultivates Righteous Living When we seek His righteousness, we pursue right standing with God. This leads to a life of holiness, integrity, and transformation. Romans 14:17 (NKJV): “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” 5. It Protects Us from Idolatry Putting God first keeps us from idolizing money, people, influence, or material things. It helps us worship the Creator, not creation. Exodus 20:3 (NKJV): “You shall have no other gods before Me.” 6. It Releases Kingdom Authority When we walk under God's rule, we walk in His authority and power. We become effective ambassadors for Christ on the earth. Luke 10:19 (NKJV): “Behold, I give you the authority... over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” 7. It Builds Eternal Perspective Seeking God's Kingdom reminds us that this world is temporary. It helps us store up treasures in heaven, not just on earth. Colossians 3:2 (NKJV): “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” 8. It Invites Divine Order into Your Life Putting the Kingdom first sets everything else in its proper place. Our relationships, decisions, finances, and time all come into divine alignment. Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV): “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” 9. It Demonstrates Trust and Surrender Seeking the Kingdom is a daily act of trust. It says, “God, I believe Your way is better than mine.” This pleases His heart. Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV): “But without faith it is impossible to please Him...” 10. It Positions You for Purpose God reveals your identity and calling as you seek His Kingdom. True purpose is found not in chasing dreams, but in pursuing the King and His Kingdom. Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV): “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). Glory to God!

Welcome back to the Sassy and Saved Podcast!
Jesus doesn't simply say "don't worry, be happy…" Jesus redefines our priorities. Quit being torn in two, quite literally. Don't stress about lesser things, which pull your attention away from God's Kingdom. Trust your heavenly Father and He will care for your needs. What we learn on Sunday should be more than hypothetical, it should become our lived reality. Oh Holy Spirit, will you help us to truly seek first God's kingdom as we move through our everyday life.

Sermon by Joe Clark on November 17, 2024
Phil will conclude our Seek Ye First series with a message called Celebrate Our Stores. In this talk, Phil will take a look back at the fall and share some stories of how members at MRCC shined like stars in the sky.
Sunday morning opening, November 10, 2024.
Phil will deliver a sermon called Praying for Reign. In this message, he will take a deep dive into 1 Timothy 2:1-4, Paul's instructions to Timothy about how and why to pray for kings and those in authority. Phil will explore various principles in this passage and how they can inform us as we pray for leaders in our context.
Phil will continue our Seek Ye First series with a message titled, The Brilliance of the Church. In this message, Phil will explore the remarkable numbers behind the rise of the early church as well as the features of the church that made it so attractive to the outside world.
Phil will continue our Seek Ye First series with a message called Love Local. In this message, Phil will explore the dynamic between national events and local ones. While staying informed is important, it is equally important to engage in our immediate communal and church context and love our neighbor right where we are.
This Sunday, David Duncan, minister with the Memorial church in Houston, will bring us a message encouraging us to share our faith. Scripture reminds over and over the importance of sharing Jesus, and David will give us tips on how to do that well.
Phil will start a new series called Seek Ye First. Based on this important statement from Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, Phil will explore how easy it is for good things to become god things and how to recognize this human tendency towards idolatry before it entangles us.

Pastor Rodney ministered powerfully in Part 3 of “Seek Ye First the Kingdom.” Impatience blocks heavenly increase! The number one attack of the enemy is the cares of this world. When you worry, that worry chokes out your ability to be fruitful! You must reject fear and worry, and keep your eyes on the Lord, for He is Lord of the harvest—YOUR harvest.
Pastor Rodney shared powerfully at The Main Event, "Seek Ye First the Kingdom Part 2." When your faith is tried, and you keep your eyes on past victories––you will overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.

The Catholic life forces us to navigate a sort of duality between the flesh and spirit, which sometimes leads us to absolutize one over the other. Similarly, we are often tempted to absolutize good and evil, treating the latter as substance that preys upon us rather than seeing it for what is: the privation of good. If we wish to rid our lives of evil, then we must put our souls at peace and recognize that we are surrounded by the good that God has created for us.
What are our priorities in life? Do we only find time to think about and do anything in the service of God and our Saviour Jesus in our spare time? Of course, Sunday's would be at least partly an exception. Matthew 6, which we read today, has many challenging words from Jesus. It's final verses see Jesus challenging his disciples, “ … O you of little faith … do not be anxious saying ‘What shall we eat? Or ‘What shall we drink?' or ‘What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious …” [v.30-34] How do we “seek first the kingdom'? By giving it priority in our thinking! So many who say they believe in the God of the Bible believe there is an eternal future for them in heaven! Such are ‘blind' to the meaning of the words of the Lord's prayer which is also in today's chapter (v.9-13) which Jesus taught his disciples “ … your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” So many who say these words are ‘blind' to what these words mean. In watching the Diamond Anniversary of the Queen's reign recently we saw St. Paul's Cathedral full of people – all saying this prayer and wondered how many understood what they were praying for. It is still used in the opening of our Parliament. Again we wondered – but, the far greater need is to ask ourselves what the ‘sermon' that Jesus gave to his disciples means to us? Do we “seek … his righteousness?” Jesus tells them 6 times in 10 verses (v.25-34) not to be “anxious” (AV ‘take no thought'). We live in a world that is full of worrying thoughts about the future, anxieties are increasing. Our faith must be genuine; we must think through each day's troubles, true faith will see them disappear like steam, if we are constant in our relationship with Jesus. Today's chapter ends, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow … Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” David's Psalms are wonderful examples, as you read them note how many start as a prayer for help and end up with praise to God. Psalm 35 is a good example. “Contend O LORD, with those who content with me … rise for my help” [v.1,2] – climaxing with the words, “ ‘Great is the LORD, who delights in the welfare of his servant!' Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.” [v.27,28] May we be able to echo David's words. Today's chapter (1 Sam.17) illustrates the supreme conviction of his mind as he went to confront Goliath. If we should be confronted by any ‘Goliath's' may his actions and words inspire us.

Matthew 6:33 — Jesus' words in Matthew 6:33 seem simple: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” As Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones reveals in his sermon on Matthew 6:33 “Seek Ye First,” they are in fact a profound statement on the priorities of the Christian life. Listen as Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains the impact “seek ye first” can have on a Christian's life and how seeking God and his righteousness can change perspectives for the better.
