After a two-year break, I'm back behind the mic — and Well & Worthy Life is entering a brand-new season. In this relaunch episode, I share why I felt called to bring the podcast back, what's changing this time around, and how my perspective on health, wellness, and aging has evolved as I've stepped into my 60s. This season of the podcast will be shorter, more intentional, and rooted in real life. Rather than adding to the already noisy conversation around menopause and hormones, I'm shifting the focus to what it truly looks like to live well in this next chapter — physically, emotionally, and relationally. In this episode, I touch on: Why this stage of life doesn't fit neatly into a label How priorities around health and well-being shift after 60 Navigating changing family dynamics, adult children, and new traditions Letting go of "one-size-fits-all" advice and learning to trust your own body Finding freedom, clarity, and possibility in this season of life Most of all, this episode sets the tone for what's ahead: honest conversations, practical insights, and encouragement for women who want to feel their best and live fully, not just get through aging. If you're navigating menopause or post-menopause, empty nesting, becoming a grandmother, or simply wondering "What's next for me?" you're in the right place. What You Can Expect This Season Short, impactful episodes (15–30 minutes) Mostly solo conversations and reflections Simple, realistic shifts that support long-term health A space for growth, connection, and encouragement I also invite you to be part of the conversation and let me know what matters most to you in this season of life. In this unforgettable episode of Be Your Best You! with Tash & Becky, we're joined by America's top psychic medium, Amie Balesky, who opens up about her extraordinary journey through multiple near-death experiences and her life's work connecting with the spirit world.Amie shares how her abilities deepened after surviving cancer as a child, and how she now supports thousands through grief by helping them understand that loved ones never truly leave. With a grounded and heart-led approach, she explains how energy, vibration, humour, and intuition all play a role in mediumship — and why the other side wants us to live fully, not fear what comes next. This conversation is both comforting and awakening, offering practical wisdom for anyone navigating loss, spirituality, or the deeper meaning of life.✨ Key Takeaways: ⭐ There is no end to existence — loved ones remain present beyond physical death ⭐ Near-death experiences can heighten intuition and deepen spiritual awareness ⭐ Communication with spirits happens through vibration, energy, and subtle signs ⭐ Souls continue growing after death and often support us from the other side ⭐ Fear blocks connection; neutrality and openness create clarity ⭐ Mediumship can provide profound healing and comfort during grief ⭐ Humour helps create safety and connection in spiritual sessions ⭐ Every experience happens for a reason, even when we can't see it yet ⭐ Life is meant to be lived fully — not cautiously or fearfully ⭐ We are all capable of connecting with our own intuition and inner guidanceAmie's message is a beautiful reminder that we are never alone, and that the greatest honour we can give to those who have passed is to live — deeply, bravely, and with love.
In this solo episode, I open up about one of the most challenging seasons of my life. Over the past year, I've experienced the loss of two close friends and watched others battle serious illness. These moments shook me in ways I didn't expect, and they forced me to confront what gratitude really means when life doesn't go according to plan. This conversation is not about toxic positivity or pretending everything is fine. It's about understanding gratitude as a deep, intentional practice that often comes after disruption, grief, and pain. When loss enters our lives, it strips away the noise and reminds us what actually matters. Time becomes more valuable. Relationships feel more fragile and more sacred. The present moment stops being something we rush through and starts becoming something we protect. I share how these experiences reshaped my perspective on success, ambition, and what it means to truly live. As we look ahead to 2026, I talk about why it's no longer enough to chase goals at the expense of our health, our relationships, or our peace. Instead, I believe we're being invited to align our ambitions with our wellbeing, to set better boundaries, and to live with clarity and intention every single day. This episode is a reminder that gratitude isn't a buzzword or a social media caption. It's a decision we make daily. A decision to be present. A decision to love harder. A decision to stop postponing our lives for some imaginary future moment. If you've experienced loss, transition, or a wake-up call recently, this episode is for you. My hope is that it encourages you to pause, reflect, and start living more fully right now. Welcome back to Girl, Take the Lead! — the podcast where we explore real, raw, and remarkable stories of resilience, healing, and what it means to live and lead with courage through every season of life.Today's guest is Rebecca (Becky) Faye Smith Galli — author, columnist, and thoughtful observer of the human experience. Becky writes about love, loss, and healing, drawing from a life shaped by profound, unchosen challenges. Her journey includes the death of her 17-year-old brother, her son's degenerative disease and passing, parenting a daughter with autism, divorce, and—just nine days later—paralysis caused by transverse myelitis, a rare inflammation of the spinal cord.Rather than turning away from grief, Becky has transformed her lived experience into a body of work that reminds us: life can still be good — not perfect, but good — even when it doesn't go as planned. In this deeply moving conversation, Yo and Becky explore wisdom drawn from Becky's books Morning Fuel and Rethinking Possible, along with reflections from her popular Thoughtful Thursdays newsletter. In this episode, you'll hear about:

Working Joyfully and Living Fully with Dr. Tiffany Slater Episode Summary In this episode, Phil is joined by Dr. Tiffany Slater, a seasoned Human Resources professional and the CEO of HR TaylorMade. Tiffany is passionate about helping small business owners create HR systems and policies that support the whole company, driven by her philosophy: "Work Joyfully, Live Fully". The conversation begins, as always, with the "innocuous question." Tiffany shares her love for cooking breakfast for her family—specifically pancakes, eggs, and a special "monkey bread" biscuit dish—which sets the stage for a discussion on family, connection, and joy. Tiffany then opens up about her personal journey from a miserable corporate existence to entrepreneurship. She shares a vulnerable story about how health scares and a spiritual calling pushed her to leave a job where she was unhappy, eventually leading her to build a business that allows her to live her life to the fullest . Phil and Tiffany dig deep into the practicalities of creating a joyful workplace. They discuss why HR policies shouldn't read like a "prison handbook," but instead should be clear, kind, and effective. They also explore the vital distinction between being "nice" (surface level) versus being "kind" (compassionate candor), and why frequent feedback is essential because, as Tiffany jokingly puts it, "people suck and it's our fault" when leaders fail to set clear expectations. Key Topics Discussed: The Innocuous Question: Why breakfast is the meal that brings Tiffany's family together The Pivot: How Tiffany moved from professional misery to joyful entrepreneurship through faith and resilience Overcoming Fear: The importance of cataloguing past successes to get through the scary moments of running a business. Joyful HR: Creating employee policies that are punitive only when necessary, but supportive and flexible by design Feedback Loops: Why annual reviews aren't enough and the need for quarterly touchpoints. Nice vs. Kind: Understanding why clear, direct feedback is kinder than polite ambiguity. The Three Big Questions: What impact do you want to make? How do you want to improve the lives of others? What do you want your story to be? Guest Bio Dr. Tiffany Slater is a human resources professional with over 20 years of experience. She is the CEO of HR TaylorMade, where she focuses on inspiring others to reach their highest level of achievement. Tiffany is known for having real conversations about success, failure, and the joy of a well-lived life. What happens when you stop trying to fit in — and finally start being you?Recorded live in Dallas–Fort Worth with the Dennis Tuttle Team, this conversation blends inspiration with action — from building a business rooted in service to understanding how love, trust, and individuality drive long-term success in real estate and in life.In this episode, Matt and Garrett share powerful takeaways from a live event with Nick Vujicic, diving into lessons on authenticity, purpose, fear, parenting, faith, and what it really means to live at the pinnacle of your ability and purpose.
"I wanted quality of life over quantity of life. If I have six months, then I will live the hell out of those six months. If I have 30 years, that would be fabulous." After 18 months of cancer treatment that left her in constant pain, Becca made a choice that surprised even her doctors: she stopped treatment, even though it was working. Her scans show no evidence of active disease, yet she's chosen to prioritize quality of life over potentially extending her time. In this honest follow-up to her first episode—a Dying To Tell You Call Back!—Becca shares how she navigated this complex decision with her husband and adult children, what liberation feels like, and why a normal Monday making strawberry shortcake means more than any grand bucket list. She offers powerful insights on patient autonomy, the cost of staying alive, and finding peace outside the narrow confines of her evangelical upbringing.

I hate math and numbers and all things even remotely related to such things! But boy, do I have an equation for you that could maybe cast shame on Albert Einstein's c=mc2. Well… I honestly know nothing about that so I'm probably exaggerating. STILL… my equation, which, by the way, has no numbers in it, can help you achieve any goal you set out to accomplish in life, including the goal to lose weight and maintain that weight loss. You heard the equation in the title of this episode, but here it is again: Compassion + Accountability = Healing, Weight Maintenance and Living Fully. This may be my favorite episode thus far!The Weight Loss Winformation Podcast gives you essential psychological information to help you lose weight and more importantly, to help keep you at a healthy weight for your body! No matter how you are working to lose weight and no matter how much weight you want to lose, Weight Loss Winformation will keep you moving in a positive direction.Resources:BariAfterare: www.bariaftercare.comConnie Stapleton PhD website: www.conniestapletonphd.comBariAftercare website: https://www.conniestapletonphd.com/bariaftercareBariAftercare Facebook page (for members only): https://www.facebook.com/groups/BariAftercareKevin Stephens: Your Bariatric Buddy https://www.facebook.com/groups/yourbariatricbuddy/peopleInstagram: @ (Caleshia Haynes)Instagram: @therealbariboss (Tabitha Johnson)Instagram @drsusanmitchell (Dr. Susan Mitchell)Instagram: @lauraleepreston (Laura Preston)ProCare Vitamins (10% off with code ConnieStapleton)Rob DiMedio: https://www.busybariatrics.com/Dr. Joan Brugman: drjbrugman@outlook.comDr. Susan Mitchell:https://www.facebook.com/DrSusanMitchellhttps://www.facebook.com/bariatricsurgerystrategies
In this episode, Dr. Wendy Schofer joins me for a conversation that's part personal story, part wake-up call. As a dual-board certified pediatrician, lifestyle physician, and trauma-informed coach, she's learned firsthand how burnout, people-pleasing, and emotional disconnection can show up in our careers, relationships, and even our relationship with food and our bodies. We talk about what it means to live boldly instead of shrinking to fit someone else's mold, how emotional regulation changes everything, and why slowing down isn't failure — it's the gateway to meaning. Wendy also shares her free resource, How to End Emotional Eating: A Parent's Guide, which offers insight into breaking unhealthy patterns tied to stress and emotional overload. Join my upcoming Mindset Breakthrough Program: https://www.vickibaird.com/mindset-breakthrough-sign-up Take the saboteurs assessment by visiting this link: https://www.positiveintelligence.com/saboteurs/ In this heartfelt episode of Intuition: Your Success Compass, I'd like to introduce you to our cat Ubsy, who recently passed. Her quirky, joyful spirit taught me powerful lessons about being present, letting go of perfection, and finding beauty in the everyday. She was also a great challenge as all good teachers are. Ubsy's unapologetic way of living, zoomies, head-biting, and all, reminded me (and now I'm reminding you) that living authentically and embracing the small moments is where real magic lies. We explore how tuning into your intuition and your surroundings can deepen joy, reduce stress, and reconnect you to what matters most. This is an invitation to pause, notice, and celebrate the brilliance of your life… right now, not someday. Listen to the episode and get inspired to live with more intention, presence, and delight
Text us, PsyclithidsSession Zero isn't just about rolling stats and swapping backstories—it's the primary emotional regulation tool for your group. In this episode of The Dungeons, Dragons, and Psychology Podcast, we dive into why Session Zero matters so much, and how it sets the tone for your entire campaign. We'll explore:Player Contracts: Setting clear expectations for behavior and table norms.Aligning Expectations: Making sure everyone's on the same page about tone, style, and play focus.Safety Tools: How tools like the X-card and emotional check-ins act as guardrails to keep play fun and safe. The Art of the Break: Why stepping away from the table is one of the most powerful conflict-resolution tools you have.Plus, in Tricks of the Trade, I'll share actionable steps for both players and DMs to strengthen collaboration, prevent burnout, and keep the story immersive.Because at the end of the day, conflict belongs in the narrative—not between the people around the table.
October is a complicated month for so many of us touched by breast cancer. Pink ribbons are everywhere—sometimes they feel celebratory, other times they stir up fear, grief, or difficult memories. Both experiences are real, and both deserve to be honored. In this episode, I invite you to see October through a different lens. Instead of focusing only on awareness, what if we made it about aliveness? I talk about how prevention deserves as much energy as detection, why metastatic breast cancer looks very different today than it did 10–15 years ago, and how daily acts of self-love—like steadying blood sugar, protecting sleep, or moving your body—can transform both health and quality of life. This conversation is about shifting from fear to empowerment, from bracing for bad news to showing up fully for the life that's happening right now. Think of it like a rhinestone ribbon—multi-faceted, sparkly, unapologetically alive.
Do you find yourself dragging through the afternoon, reaching for coffee or snacks just to stay awake? You're not alone. After 40, those 2 p.m. crashes become more common—and it has nothing to do with motivation. It's your hormones and nutrition working differently now, and midlife nutrition plays a much bigger role than it used to. In Episode 245: What To Eat After 40 To Boost Energy, I explain how hormone shifts, stress, and sleep all affect your energy. As estrogen trends down, your body becomes more sensitive to carbs. Add cortisol spikes from stress and poor sleep, and suddenly the same lunch that worked fine at 30 can leave you foggy and sluggish at 45. The solution isn't another latte—it's learning how to time and balance your meals so you get steady energy that lasts. You'll hear the stories of three women who represent different stages of the journey. Emma often skipped lunch and rode the day out on coffee, Lisa ate pretty healthy but leaned on bars and lattes, and Jasmine was highly active yet still crashed on heavy training days. Each of them discovered that small, realistic changes—like eating protein first, moving lunch earlier, or placing carbs around workouts—completely transformed their afternoons. This episode is not about dieting or giving up the foods you love. It's about simple midlife nutrition shifts that support your body after 40 and help you feel strong, steady, and focused. If you're ready to stop the afternoon crash and finally fuel your days with consistent energy, this episode is for you.

The numbers are heartbreaking. Nearly 40% of high school students say they feel persistently sad or hopeless, according to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About one in five reported struggling with anxiety or depression in just the past two weeks, and another one in five said they seriously considered suicide in the past year.In this episode of Grieving Out Loud, we sit down with the researchers behind a powerful new book, Mind the Children, that digs into what's fueling America's youth mental health crisis. The authors—journalists, researchers, and clinicians—want parents and policymakers to understand the full picture. Too often, they say, the blame gets pinned on a single factor. But the truth is, there are many forces at work. Today I'm joined by Naomi Schaefer Riley, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute who studies child welfare and foster care, and Dr. Ken Winters, a senior scientist at the Oregon Research Institute in Minnesota, and consultant at the Center for Indigenous Behavioral Health at the University of Iowa.Learn more about and purchase their book, Mind the Children, here.If you liked this episode, check out the following next: Your To-Die List: Bestselling Author on Living Fully and ResilientlyA mother's urgent message on mental health and addictionMental health expert offers advice after his own son battles depression, anxiety & addictionMother blames cannabis-induced psychosis for son's deathSend us a textBehind every number is a story of a life cut short, a family shattered, and a community devastated. They were...daughterssonsmothersfathersfriendswiveshusbandscousinsboyfriendsgirlfriends.They were More Than Just A Number. Text us, PsyclithidsWhat happens to an adventurer after the dragon burns their village, or when they fail to save an innocent life? In this episode, we dive deep into the psychology of defense mechanisms—the unconscious strategies people use to protect themselves from overwhelming stress—and explore how they can shape roleplay at the table.Drawing from the work of Sigmund Freud and Anna Freud, we'll unpack four core defenses—repression, denial, rationalization, and projection—and show how they can bring depth and realism to your characters. You'll hear practical examples of how both players and Dungeon Masters can weave these coping strategies into their games to create more immersive, emotionally resonant storytelling.Plus, in the Tricks of the Trade segment, we'll break down how to use in-character defense mechanisms in subtle, believable ways that enhance immersion without slowing the pace of play.Whether you're a player looking to breathe life into your character's trauma or a DM wanting to design encounters that challenge the party on more than just hit points, this episode will give you the tools to make your game world feel more human—and more unforgettable.

This is The Energy to Heal, your resource for all things Splankna, the faith-based inner healing modality that will help you achieve emotional freedom. In this episode, we're stepping back to talk about lifestyle Christianity—what it really means to be all in with Christ. Too often, we try to follow Jesus halfway, but halfway commitment brings halfway results. Scripture makes it clear: Jesus isn't lukewarm, He's all or nothing. Laura shares biblical truth, powerful analogies, and a personal story about trusting God with her son Milo's ankle health. You'll hear why believing in God isn't enough, why getting to heaven is just the beginning, and how living in Christ's upside-down kingdom changes everything. ✨ Takeaways: Partial surrender leads to partial transformation. Even the demons believe in God (James 2:19)—true discipleship is more than belief. Jesus calls us to daily surrender and all-in commitment (Luke 9:23). The kingdom of God flips worldly logic—true greatness, strength, and life are found in surrender. Being “all in” means trusting Christ fully in every area, even in the unknowns.
