There's a BIG GOD out there that I make too little of, meanwhile I make too much of "little 'ol me." If I put God in the proper lighting, I can live in light of this Lord and it lots of implications for how I live my day-to-day life.

I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:2-9)

Being a peacemaker is a good thing, among the best of things really. And truth be told, most of us would consider ourselves to be peacemakers. But what does that really mean?

“I’m just trying to get to a place of peace in my life”...”I really need some peace in my world”....”I’m searching for just a little peace.” Huffington Post recently had an article on the many ways to find peace in life. Peace, true peace, lasting peace, meaningful peace comes from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It’s all about finding peace in the right place with the right person!
God Shows us how to deal with Worry, Fear and Anxiety.
The Christmas season can be a time of stress, anxiety, worry and everything that doesn't sound like "peace"! Pastor Steve took us through Philippians 4, a letter Paul wrote from prison no less, as he tells us to rejoice always and give everything to God in prayer as an antidote to the stress and anxiety that seeks to overtake us.
