Though Rob is out because of some ongoing construction, Patrick, Janet, and Cado were lucky to find a suitable replacement: Austin Walker. Naturally, we must first address the breaking news of a Gundam series coming from the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion. But after that, it's several long discussions on Arctic Eggs, 1000xResist, NYU's recent No Quarter exhibition, Arco, Grunn, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. We talked about so many games that we had to cut the news section! But hey, we had some great questions about early access and puzzles.Discussed: Gundam News 3:58, Arctic Eggs 13:43, No Quarter 40:39, Arco 52:40, Grunn 59:52, 1000xResist 1:03:35, Dragon Age Veilguard 1:36:22, The Question Bucket 1:51:08, Outro and Announcements 2:43:40See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Rob Olson has been one of the Country's top auctioneers for many years, but he would tell you being a husband and father is what he's most proud of. Being a grandfather is another source of pride for Rob and since we recorded this interview ten days ago, Rob and wife Cynthia welcomed grandchild number ten to their family.Though Rob has had an accomplished career in business, if I'm being honest, I asked him to be on my podcast because quite simply, he's been a great friend since we were in high school.  You listeners will hear a few of our exploits during this “talk story” session, but there are many we left out. For example, we didn't even talk about the time in 2002 Rob called me up and suggested we go to the California Angels / San Francisco Giants World Series game. We went, and it was a blast!Take the time to listen to the life story of Rob Olson, and you'll better understand why we've been friends for fifty years.

Rob “B.F.R.E.E.” Badgett- whose name is an acronym for Be Filled Revived Empowered Everyday- is a husband, father, artist, author, entrepreneur, and speaker. Rob believes that God placed him here to create content that provokes change and empowers his audience to optimize every opportunity. By doing this, they can push past personal barriers and offsets to arrive at the quality of life they desire and deserve. When it comes to pushing past personal barriers, Rob has firsthand experience. As a divorcee and now newlywed husband, Rob learned how to dig deep into himself to discover his own flaws to produce a more successful future. Rob enjoys using his personal experience in conjunction with his relationship with God to provide knowledge and wisdom on how to access truth that revives, empowers, and frees the heart, mind, soul, and spirit. With a background in radio as a program director at Power 1410 Radio in Brockton MA, and a radio announcer on WSTL, Rob decided to create his own production company that he co-owns with his wife, Brittany, called B-Influenced Media Group; where they work with others to help create content and assist in digital media production. Though Rob is skilled in many things, his greatest joy is being a husband to his beautiful wife Brittany and a father to their two children, Robby & Leniyah.I had such a fun chat with Rob catching up on life during the pandemic, his divorce, and what that time was like for Rob, finding his new "good thing" - his wife Brittany,  what it was like for his children for him to get remarried, how their family has thrived by showing love as a verb and how they  continue to work on their lives together. 236: Senior Bowl preview and draft talk with Rob Staton, Seahawks Draft Blog

Looking back at the season, Rob discusses some of the players who impacted this team the most from the 2018 draft class. Did John Schneider regain some of the magic from his earlier years, or is it just a trend of continued success? One thing for sure we can count on is that Schneider won't be content with four draft picks and will most likely trade back to accumulate extra picks on Day 3 of the draft. The Senior Bowl is this weekend and Rob talks about why this game hold so much significance for draft analysts. Who are some of the players to look for? Rob talks about players like Montez Sweat, a pass rusher from Mississippi State and Terry McLaurin who have impressed so far this week at the Senior Bowl. Two local lineman, one from Washington and another from Washington State, have also performed well and could be potential draft targets for Seattle. Rob and Brandan spend some time talking about a potential candidate in the draft for the big-bodied wide receiver that Coach Carroll has seemingly been looking for. D.K. Metcalf of Ole MIss has some injury issues that could cause him to fall down the board and potentially into the second round. His father, uncle and grandfather all played in the NFL. Rob lays out a scenario where, if Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray falls in the draft, the Seahawks should consider taking him. Though Rob is high on the Murray's potential, it wouldn't necessarily be with the goal in mind of immediately trading Russ. Instead it could serve as a fallback plan in case contract negotiations don't go well in this offseason and if Russell Wilson ends up going the franchise tag route down the road. Though Rob may prefer to hit PAWS when it comes to talking about canines, Jackie and Diana have a howling good time on this week's episode all about dog behavior and behavior analysis.  Wondering how functional analysis methodology can be used to treat dog challenging behavior? Or how shelter workers can actually be taught to train dogs on the cheap? Curious if Rob writes little stories about the research articles he reads? We answer all three of these tough questions in this week's episode.  We're such RUFF-ians.   Articles discussed this episode: Feuerbacher, E.N. & Wynne, C.D.L.  (2016).  Application of  functional analysis methods to assess human-dog interactions.  Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, 49, 970-974.  doi: 10.1002/jaba.318 Howard, V.J. & DiGennaro Reed, F.D.  (2014).  Training shelter volunteers to teach dog compliance.  Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, 47, 344-359.  doi: 10.1002/jaba.120 If you're interested in ordering CEs for listening to this episode, click here to go to the store page. “I said, ‘No way am I running Western States! That’s 100 miles!’” — Rob Krar, Western States Endurance Run winner 2014 Rob Krar is one of the kings of ultra running. He was a middle-distance runner through college, but then threw his running shoes in the trash, insisting he was done with running forever. Famous last words: Though Rob did take a break from running (during which time he worked grueling 12-hour graveyard shifts as a pharmacist), he eventually returned to the sport in a big way — as an ultramarathoner. He has won the most prestigious and competitive ultras, including Western States, Leadville, Run Rabbit Run, and a handful of North Face Endurance Challenge races, to name just a few. Rob is also a vocal advocate for mental health, and on this episode he opens up about his struggles with depression. Rob lives in Flagstaff, AZ, with his wife and fellow ultra runner, Christina. Dan and Garrett are joined by Philadelphia-based actress Jenna Kuerzi to discuss one of their all-time favorite Movie Movie's (as chosen by the winner of their first contest!), High Fidelity. This is a film that has helped define the tastes and sensibilities of an entire generation, yet as that generation grows, this movie grows with them. Though Rob is the hero of this story, he's a tragic, foolish hero who, like a broken record, must repeat his mistakes over and over, and take the wrong lessons from them time and time again before truly coming to terms with his own commitment issues. And like Rob, our generation has at times taken the wrong lessons from this movie, a film that demands revisiting every few years so you can reassess it and use it as a guide to reassess yourself. It's truly incredible how relatable this remains, but how much more you will take away from it with each subsequent viewing. Follow us on twitter Like us on facebook Rate and subscribe on iTunes
