Craig has been playing music professionally since he was fourteen. Craig Chaquico and has had over 30 years of success with acts such as Jefferson Starship in the 1970’s, Starship in the 1980’s, and as a solo jazz for the last 20 years. He has released 11 albums as a solo artist including “Acoustic Planet,” which was nominated for a Grammy in 1994 and reached number one on the Billboard charts. His most recent album, “Follow the Sun,” was released in 2009 and features contributions from Peter White and Rolf Hartley as well as a “more modern, sensuous” cover of Kenny G’s hit song “Songbird.”Craig has also worked as a studio musician for 25 years and contributed guitar tracks to Gumby: The Movie in 1995. Outside of recording music, he has worked with the Washburn Guitar Company to design his own signature series guitar, the Washburn EA-20. As an environmentalist, he asked that the company plant a tree for each Chaquico guitar made.
