In 2009, Judi became the founding Director of the Tyson Center for Faith and Spirituality in the Workplace at the University of Arkansas. Her research is on business leaders who have a strong commitment to their spirituality, and she’s studied how they bridged the spiritual world and the material world of business. It’s so refreshing to think about how to bring spirituality, and depth, and meaning into your work no matter where you work or what you do and that’s exactly what we’ll be discussing in today’s episode. What you'll hear in this episode: The two components Judi uses to define spirituality What it looks like to bring more spirituality into the workplace How bringing spirituality into the workplace can improve your mind climate and the overall atmosphere of the workplace The benefits of focusing on what is going right and working to replicate that rather than focusing on problems and their solutions How a recent study she conducted revealed that a common way organizations are incorporating spirituality in the workplace is by practicing mindfulness meditation Judi’s advice for how to start incorporating more spirituality in your work Why it’s so important to not associate spirituality practices in the workplace with religion How bringing spirituality into her work has positively impacted Judi’s life Connect with Ivy on Facebook and join the Mind Climate Community!
