We Don't Have Cookies invaded The Life once again, this time it was for Jason's birthday! Drama, last minute cancellations and audio issues led Jason and to wonder if the show was cursed. The lead guest cancelled last minute which led to them stumbling through for a little bit (just skip ahead until the 5 minute mark to miss the poor audio and rambling) until Mike Morris joined the show to read a eulogy for Jason. A new sponsor was announced for the podcast, Black Rifle Coffee Co, they are owned and operated by Special Forces veterans and make strong coffee for strong people. Pandy Kaufman crashed the podcast to say happy birthday and talk about zoo life. Mike Canestaro joined the show to read a Not For Children Story, talks about hospital food and has his dad call in with a great story. Mike and Mike left the studio and Murray Valeriano called into the show. They talk about Murray writing for Steve Carell, Bill Engvall and on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, doing stand up in Los Angeles and more. Segments on the show were by Frankie MacDonald with a birthday warning, Don Smith with an Angry Dalai Lama Tweet and Mark Ofuji with birthday impressions. Thanks to Natalie, Michael Chalkley from WWPOD and Daren and Jason from the Comedy Snobs for sending in birthday messages. The show ends with a surprise that long time listeners should enjoy. Dan Diesel, the host of the show, had an impression off with Mark Ofuji, talked about what they want for Christmas, Dave Prague dropped by and Mama Kate called in.
On this special episode We Don't Have Cookies invades the airwaves and takes over The Life, recorded live in studio the day before Thanksgiving. It's a packed show filled with callers and announcements. Mike Canestaro talks about his client Father Time and how his career in management is taking off. Holly calls in, she's now the person who intros the show among other things. Mama Kate discusses breaking her leg, a Chinese woman who was missing for 10 years was found living in an internet café and her comedy style. Rob Haney talks about junk food in Japan, writing a joke for Jay Leno that he regrets and a man who ran himself of with a beer truck that he was trying to steal. Dave Prague calls in. Jason has been very sick lately and was unable to put Thursday's show up or record a regular episode of We Don't Have Cookies this weekend. So, here is the episode that should have been up on Thursday with Don Smith and Keith Irvin. They talk about Keith's comedy career, strange news stories and more!
This week Jason is joined by "Father Time" Terry Edgette after a guest cancelled at the last minute. Due to the cancellation this is not a normal show. Plus, Jason has been busy working on things that will be announced soon as well as planning a huge We Don't Have Cookies invasion of The Life so there aren't any segments in this show. They still have a good time talking about Father Time's stand up shows since he was last on the podcast, a car vending machine in Nashville, if a hot dog is a sandwich debate update, cows are Britain's most dangerous animal, geese closing down a highway in China, an abandoned casket and more. Not very often does a guest broach a subject that disturbs Jason but Father Time tells a story that rattled Jason.
The Life was off the air this week so Jason and Don Smith got together to review the review of a podcast that did a podcast about this podcast. It was by The Comedy Snobs , the episode was called We Don't Have Cookies and you should listen to that first if possible. The Comedy Snobs podcast is available on iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn Radio, Spreaker, etc. It's a pretty meta kind of show so if you haven't listened before please listen to one of the previous episodes.
