Bill Engvall was at the grind of standup for 40 years when he decided to put the mic back in the stand for the last time…that is until now. Bill talks to me about what influenced his decision to stop touring, and then to start back again; how jokes about his real life are better than being “edgy”; the enormity of being part of the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour,” and how being a grandfather is the best revenge on his well-adjusted children. Laugh Tracks Legends of Comedy with Randy and Steve

Take a cigar, a tumbler of scotch, a twinkle in the eye. and some salty opinions and you get Ron White, a stand-up star for nearly 40 years and one of the original "Blue Collar" comedians who mounted one of the most successful comedy tours ever back in the early 2000s. Ron's most famous catch phrase is "you can't fix stupid" which fit right in with Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck," Bill Engvall's "Here's your sign" and Larry the Cable Guy's "Get R Done" delighting the audience and turning a 26 show tour into six years of shows. Since Blue Collar, Ron has continued as a top standup draw and occasional guest star in television comedies. in 2020, he announced, then abandoned plans to retire from the road, a relief to fans who like their southern-style comedy with a bit of edge. As always find extra clips below and thanks for sharing our shows. Want more Ron? Ron's right on this point. https://youtu.be/UQv7Tr8HbGE?si=9LCrjh0_m1IfF69V People who haven't seen clips of early Ron White are surprised to see a long-haired wild man in place of the nattily attired gentleman who appears today. https://youtu.be/uOQHwiiI9nU?si=66f2T7EXTd3JN9Ow Ron has the ability to connect with every person who just wants to get a beer on a hot day. Case in point. https://youtu.be/ClQuI8ds_dg?si=0ZgAlK-sVmqQOj0R Ron's most recent Netflix special finds him in fine form, tumbler and cigar still in hand (though more for props now). https://youtu.be/68hvA_vR-0Q?si=rn8KY4Ssk-EVCKe-

The crew looks over the headlines of the day and what a surprise, everyone hates everyone and is suing every person they know. Hopefully that doesn't bleed over into the show...In the first hour, SKOR North's Judd Zulgad talks about the very rare "good" night in Minnesota sports with the Timberwolves picking up a win over the Thunder and the Wild snapping their losing streak, and KSTP's Chris Egert informs the show about a big fire in Eagan that occurred overnight and the seasonal opening of Afton Alps. Iconic comedian Bill Engvall joins the show to talk about his final stand-up special called "Here's Your Sign, It's Finally Time - My Last Show" which releases December 5th on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, YouTube, Google Play, Dish, and a number of cable providers!Hour #2 sees the team review the top headlines from the day including a man who believed his girlfriend was a witch and a lady who found a finger in her salad at a restaurant. In hour #3 Kristyn Burtt restrains herself from getting into the "is Die Hard a Christmas movie" debate, even though it's apparently one of the top ten Christmas movies of all time. Another debate: who is Burt Reynolds? His name is a mystery to anyone under 40. Apparently he was in some movies at some point. Perhaps we'll never know for certain. On the Family, we debate changing our name to something less offensive. To who? I don't know. Probability states that someone out there is offended by it though. Chaz and AJ were in disagreement this morning, split over whether or not the term "hero" was fitting for a crane operator, who is credited with saving a man's life. (6:41) Samantha Cole was in studio with Chaz and AJ to talk about her career as a recording artist, starting as a teenager and working with Shaggy on one of his biggest hits. Plus, her Christmas song, and the time she was introduced to Mick Jagger. (15:27) For the first time in history, Amity Pop Warner has four teams going to nationals. Coach Tom Fatone was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the cheerleading teams, and football team that are all invited to big competitions in Florida. (27:23) Comedian Bill Engvall announced recently his decision to retire from standup comedy touring. He was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, and the "stupid money" it would take to get him back on the road. (32:52)

JEFF FOXWORTHY has been telling JOKES and making people LAUGH for a long time.   Which is why it's so incredible that this week show is one of the DEEPEST and most MEANINGFUL programs I've ever done We go deep on  LIFEFAITH SUCCESS CANCEL CULTURE THE GOOD OLD DAYS  And it's truly an INCREDIBLE CONVERSATION.One I'm truly GRATEFUL to have participated in and I think you'll be grateful that you listen to it or watched it You know Jeff best from his BLUE COLLAR COMEDY TOURS with Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White as well as THE JEFF FOXWORTHY SHOW, and the quiz show ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER.  He's authored several books and recorded six comedy albums, including two that were certified 3x PLATINUM. But there's a lot more to Jeff than just being a guy who tells “you might be a redneck” one-liners. This week's podcast peels back the funny to reveal a DIFFERENT SIDE OF JEFF, from many years of struggles during his early years, to how the BIBLE has shaped and guided his daily life.   One of the gifts of being a comedian is that not only are you a great storyteller, but you're also a great observer of the HUMAN CONDITION.  In fact, that's where your humor often springs from.  Jeff has also channeled those observational powers into watching how people deal or don't deal with their problems. He's also got great advice about LETTING GO of what you can't control, WHY FAILING A LOT is a key to success, and not putting yourself in situations that will ruin your life.   We also get into how comedy has changed in recent years, especially as it relates to comedians and CANCEL CULTURE.  Despite these kinds of challenges, Jeff talks openly about the JOYS OF BEING A COMEDIAN and how he remains RELEVANT and MOTIVATED while balancing the ongoing demands of being a celebrity.   You're going to like the hour we all spend together with Jeff.  He's got great stories to tell and great takes to download.   And that, my friends, is no joke.
