Is group fitness helping or hurting your body composition goals? In this Fitness Friday episode on the Habits and Hustle podcast, Liron and I dive into the controversial world of group fitness classes like Orange Theory, Barry's Bootcamp, and F45. We discuss why these high-intensity classes can spike your appetite, burn out your adrenals, and leave you injured—plus what's actually working in the group fitness space. We also explore the rise of Hyrox as a better alternative to CrossFit, why Pilates shouldn't be your only workout, and the social benefits that keep people coming back despite the drawbacks. Liron Kayvan founded BFLA in 2019. He's a NASM Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Transformative Life Coach. Liron has competed in Amateur MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Rugby and has been a Fitness Coach for over 10 years. What we discuss: The rise and reality of group fitness popularity Why Barry's Bootcamp can spike cortisol and appetite The "aimless running around" problem in most classes Hyrox vs. CrossFit: A safer group fitness alternative Why Pilates alone won't change your body composition The social benefits that make group fitness worthwhile When group fitness works vs. when it backfires The importance of having specific fitness goals Why "something is better than nothing" still applies How to choose group fitness that actually serves your goals Thank you to our sponsor: Therasage: Head over to therasage.com and use code Be Bold for 15% off TruNiagen: Head over to truniagen.com and use code HUSTLE20 to get $20 off any purchase over $100. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”What happens when we drop a 19th-century saint into our smartphone-saturated world? Kevin Wells, author of Coached by the Cure, Lessons in Shepherding with St. John Vianney joins Jack to explore this provocative question—and the answers might shake your perception of modern spirituality.Wells begins with a startling comparison: the smartphones we casually place in our children's hands are functioning as "miniature Ouija boards," disconnecting them from authentic spiritual experience. "I don't care about the Ouija board, that's 1970s," Wells argues. "I care about the Ouija board—that millions upon millions of kids' carry in their pockets." The conversation draws fascinating parallels between our current spiritual climate and post-Revolutionary France, where St. John Vianney arrived to find a spiritually dead farming community...and practical lessons for today!! This eye-opening episode dismantles the myth that great trainers don't need to be salespeople and reveals why embracing your role in sales is essential for career longevity.Through engaging stories and practical examples, we explore the Four C's framework that transforms awkward sales conversations into authentic value propositions: Competence in your craft, Confidence in your delivery, Control of the consultation, and consistent Contact with prospects. A personal trainer, identified as John Doe, has filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging sexual assault and exploitation. The plaintiff claims that in 2018, during a training session at Combs' residence, Combs made unsolicited sexual advances, including inappropriate touching and suggestive remarks. Despite Doe's objections, Combs allegedly persisted, leading to an assault that caused significant emotional and psychological distress. The lawsuit further alleges that Combs leveraged his celebrity status and influence to intimidate Doe into silence, threatening to ruin his professional reputation if he disclosed the incident. This power dynamic, the suit claims, prevented Doe from coming forward sooner. The legal action seeks damages for the alleged assault, emotional suffering, and the impact on Doe's career. Combs' legal team has categorically denied these allegations, describing them as baseless attempts to damage his reputation.(commercial at 9:22)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Diddy drugged personal trainer and passed him around 'like a party favor' to celeb pals, latest horror lawsuit claims | The Sun

Send us a text if you want to be on the Podcast & explain why!The fitness industry harbors a shocking statistic - 90% of personal trainers quit within their first year. In this passionate, no-holds-barred episode, we dive deep into why this happens and how aspiring trainers can avoid this fate by taking a radically different approach to building their careers. We expose the fundamental flaws in the traditional path most trainers take: getting a textbook certification that requires minimal knowledge, seeking "experience" at low-tier gyms without proper mentorship, failing to master anatomy and movement fundamentals, and refusing to invest in quality continuing education. This approach virtually guarantees failure in an industry that should offer tremendous opportunity. The episode offers a blueprint for success that stands in stark contrast to conventional wisdom. True success comes from mastering anatomy (can you name all 17 muscles of the shoulder?), understanding movement patterns for efficient programming, building relationships with medical professionals, and consistently investing in yourself. When you develop genuine expertise rather than collecting certifications, you can command premium rates while working fewer hours. Our message is clear: stop following the struggling masses and start challenging yourself to reach a higher standard. The trainers who thrive aren't just passionate - they're professionally competent, continuously learning, and committed to excellence. Ready to fish in a blue ocean where the competition disappears? It starts with mastering the fundamentals that most trainers ignore.Ready to transform your training career and join the elite 10% who succeed? Hey Rebel! If you're tired of “go hard or go home” fitness messaging and ready to redefine your relationship with movement and your body—this one's for you. I understand from your podcasts that sometimes increasing calories for 2-3 weeks can help break through a plateau. The problem is that I am on a GLP-1, my appetite is still low, and I can't comfortably increase my intake much. Do you have any other suggestions or strategies to help break this plateau, considering my situation? (1:08:46) #ListenerLive question #3 – Do you have any advice on how to push past a mental and physical plateau?
