This show was a big preview of next week's Folk Alliance International Conference in Montreal. The last time it was not in the USA was 2019, also in Montreal. Most of this show was Canadian. Most of the showcases I plan to attend feature Canadian performers. I look forward to asking my American friends what the hell they were thinking! At the end I announced The Arrogant Worms song We Are The Beaver, but had to scale back to their (ironically) shorter / smaller song Canada Is Really Big, so as not to go over the allotted 4 hours. I will play that song next week!
This week Devo is doing what he can to keep from freezing up like Jack Torrance at the end of The Shining. Good luck with that. Sawyer Working with an actual sales force and distribution network like LitDistCo The ins and outs of grant writing and investments involved in trying to get real distribution Helping other authors with their self-publishing needs Advice Edward has for authors thinking about being a publisher as well as for writers in general And more.... Meet some nice guys from Canada who once on stage turn into some arrogant worms. Make that THE Arrogant Worms -- a long running musical comedy trio who blend bouncy melodies and sharp lyrics.
