There are several truths about the real meaning of Christmas. The first response of the the shepherds was to stop what they were doing, then focus on Jesus the Messiah and worship him. They made known abroad what they saw and heard.

Jesus was willing to come to earth to be the right gift. God has given his best and he expects us to give our all and our heart.

Wise men still seek Him. These wise men can still teach us lessons today. Do you still seek Jesus today? God is guiding you sovereignly leading you back to Him.

The identity of Jesus of Nazareth is none other than Yahweh, the I Am. Jesus is the Jehovah of the Old Testament the one who the Israelites tempted.

God had a divine plan and sent Joseph to implement that plan. Joseph had a divine perspective.

We have a mighty God and He is the only one who can bring peace to this sin cursed earth. Jesus is our captain, commander-in-chief and champion.

.Joseph had a test for the brothers that had two parts: a vertical relationship with God and a horizontal relationship to the family.

God sees everything and He knows who we really are. This is the only time in Scripture that someone gives God a new name. The Angel of the Lord first appears in this chapter.

God's providence works in our lives.

Jesus gave the disciples a pattern on how to pray. Focus on that which is truly important, that which is eternal, the Kingdom.

The Great Commission is a command to be taught and handed down to others around the world. Through missions and prayer we can minister all around the world.

God, the owner called things, has called us to a task to accomplish. He gives us the power and tools to complete that task. Walk by faith and trust in Him.

Why did Joseph put the money in their sacks? He was testing his brothers to see if they had truly changed their hearts. The brothers acknowledged that God had done this, He was the one they had sinned against..

Past victories do not guarantee future victories. There is a bigger picture, God is doing a work that we don't alway understand.

In our place of humility, bowing at the Lord's command, we say "yes Lord" because He is the King. He is the Master and is in complete control and commands complete obedience.

After Joseph had chosen to leave the past behind he now remembers the dreams he had before he was sold into slavery.

Paul Advises Timothy that neglecting these instructions of warning can lead to a falling away.

We stand before the Judge of all the earth and we are accountable to him.We will all give an account for our faithfulness and labor.

It is possible to remain pure in heart in a pagan culture and Joseph is a prime example. His heart was not Egyptian and he gave his sons Hebrew names and chose to forgive and forget the past. The moral is that God is keeping His promise to rescue His people

Don't neglect or be careless with your gifts. Everyone has a place in the church to use their gifts and talents. Live and breathe the work of the ministry.

When God wants us to know him personally he gives us the name to use, Yahweh, I Am that I Am. What does this name mean? To be or simply be, to self exist.

Be emboldened by the gospel because we serve a living Savior.

When you walk away from the eternal God what else is there? The eternal things outweigh the temporal things.

Names mean something and something positive should go through your mind when you hear the name God, Elohim. His name should remind of us of what he has done for us.

God's timing is not always man's timing and He can control the thoughts and dreams of leaders. Joseph was in the right spot when the dream come to Pharaoh.

We have an opportunity of influence while we alive. How long will our legacy last once we are gone.

To be a good servant of the Lord be nourished, be wise and be godly. Our spiritual growth depends upon our daily nourishment of the word of God because it is not easy to be godly.

The greatest news of all the world was that the Savior had risen and he was alive and among the disciples. Jesus came and calmed the chaos at the time and he can do the same for us because he is with us now.

When bad things happen God doesn't abandon his own. God works through His providence by putting people in your path during times of difficulty and suffering .

We live in a day where truth is being denied. There is coming a day where there is going to be an attack on the Church and God's Word. Stand strong and defend the truth of the Word of God.

The burial of the Lord Jesus was superintended by God by putting the right people together at the right time.

A time when every man did that which was right in his own eyes. The downward spiral of sin, oppression, repentance, deliverance and peace happened.

In life there are trials that come that are unexpected and will bring us into different seasons. We have a God of comfort and mercies and He sustains us during the trials and tribulations.

We as believers are in a spiritual battle, a battle against the world and the devil. We are often tested in our most difficult times.

God has a way of changing life very quickly. At 17 the life of Joseph drastically changed and he had to adjust to an extreme life of adversity. God has put Joesph in the right place at the right time.

What does the death of the Savior sound like? In the darkness and suffering Jesus reaches down within himself and cries out with a loud voice his final statements.

God is providentially in control over every event in human affairs. He takes some of the bad things and uses them for good.

The purpose of is education is to pass knowledge, skill and values on to children so they can live the best life possible. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.

The way God thinks about this world is very different than the way humans think He is the most important thing is this world. Every worldview answers five basic questions of life..

There is a big picture in the book of Genesis. God is bringing about the seed of the woman who will bless all nations and carry out the redemptive plan.
