As the darkness lengthens and hallow’s eve lurks on the horizon, J-Me and I check in and update you on the happenings in the lives of the Jealous Much ladies. Spring is only one week away and we here at Jealous Much are slowly but surely poking our heads out of our caves and readying for some new adventures in the weeks and months ahead. We also give you hot life tips like if you can get a pro-rated hotel room at 3:30 a.m. I promise, it’s not like it sounds…Jamie brings you up to speed with her chologoth empire in the making and the joys of yet another job interview. We will let you know if she got it, or if she will soon be joining the circus instead.Other topics are my embarrassing fascination with the television show, Love After Lockup, and the recent Netflix Ted Bundy docuseries. Seriously, how could he be having romantic evenings with corpses and not have at least one of his girlfriends be slightly suspicious and at least wondering “what’s that smell ?!”And last but not least we discuss the joys of the brilliantly badass sound of cobra in a basket. So yeah, we are all over the place, but doesn’t that keep it fun?

We’re ready for 2019 and all of the bizarro surprises that await us. This summer and our jobs have been terribly busy, but we are back where we belong, behind the mics with a new podcast. This episode covers many topics, but the majority of our time focuses on what Burning Man feels like for local Renoites just trying to live their daily life while the crazy, consumer circus passes in and out of our town in a cloud of alkali playa dust. Our biggest gripe is that people just dispose of their trash where it rightfully belongs and, please, don't make the Native American Chief cry from your disrespect of his beautiful homeland.

It has always been the focus here at Jealous Much to keep it real. Today's podcast is rooted deep in that ideal. Jamie and I fill you in what we have been up to the past couple weeks since we went missing in action from Jealous Much. Let's just be honest here, the summer has been meh. You might think that Pride is over and so there’s nothing gay left to celebrate. Well that’s not how we roll in Reno! July is Reno’s Pride month... so we brought in a little glimmer of artistic sunshine as our newest special guest. We welcomed queer African American artist DePaul Vera to the Jealous Much mics this week! He is pure magic! And we’re so glad we caught him just before he leaves Reno for a fabulous, International career!

It's an all new episode of Jealous Much! Starring Jamie and Christine... who both just beamed back down onto the planet from two very different vision quests. Interesting people have been coming out of the woodwork, and for sure, these situations have called for true tests of all that we have learned in therapy. What does one do when one's mental terror dome is polished clean by closure and possibility? Good lord. What does it all mean?!

The Jealous Much Team had a whirlwind of a weekend!  Our good friend, Erika, pulled off her dream wedding without a hiccup and we spent the weekend with our beloved Bears, who were here for the blessed nuptials.  Congratulations to Erika and Montana from the Jealous Much Media Empire. We love you kids!!! Because we love our listening audience, we crammed in a MEGA 2 HOUR PODCAST EXTRAVAGANZA with our Bay Area Bear Friends, Kyle and Rick, when they arrived in town Friday night.  Not only will you learn why leopard print sheets are the best choice to cover your furniture for your next bear sex party, but you will hear sex tips from Kyle, and stories of furry conventions and lurid chicken pot pie hotel hook ups. We are so happy we could finally get these bears on the mics and share them and their great tales with you.

This morning we shared breakfast and our podcast mics with our old friend, Darren Barnes.  Not only is Darren the main power drummer dad of Reno in such bands as gob, plastic caves and alphabet cult, but he has also been a vital part of the Reno scene since the 80s: either through his winning 80s dance contest displays, various explosive pyrotechnic dalliances, DJing as D6, running his labels (satan's pimp and intruder alert), or manning a famous robot.  While he is not someone to talk up himself, we celebrate his accomplishments and wax nostalgic with funny snippets from old days in Reno and beyond.   If you weren't there for the hilarious train wrecks of the 90s these pictures may not make much, sense, but take them in and return to this post once you have listened because we share the stories behind the images in this episode.   Thanks for joining us today Darren!!!  It was a blast!

Jealous Much is going to the chapel and we're gonna... watch someone else get married. We're musing about the permanence of saying yes and committing to just one guy. Somehow this brings up deeply hidden vomit stories and Carrot Top aversions. Since these days it's "hard" enough finding one available person with a penis to date, why not say yes to forever? What are you afraid of? If it's good enough for Meghan Markle, maybe it's good enough for Jealous Much.

Whatcha gonna do with all that junk. All that junk inside your trunk? In this week’s episode Jamie and I discuss her obsession with googling “fake butts” late on Saturday nights and the crazy trends of bootys so big the need a second set of legs.

Are you the life of the party, a wallflower, or the life of the party who can also be a wallflower?  Jamie and I explore the dimensions of confidence, introversion, and shyness, and how those dynamics can co-exist in one person in the exact same minute. Don't call us extroverts because we are confident and Jamie is friendly.  We are introverted, sometimes shy, girls who have learned to better maneuver social settings through years of practice and experience, but that doesn't necessarily mean we are party naturals.  Tying into these aspects of personality, we further share our love of the Myers-Briggs personality test - Jamie is an INFP and Christine is an INFJ.   Christine discusses her passion for costume construction of anything from Hegwig Schmidt wigs and capes, gigantic furry, stuffed raccoon tails, and foam asses and hip pads for drag queens.   Jamie opens the throttle and talks about her burning desire to see more dicks on the walls and less tits.  Jamie said this?  Yep, she did...  She also speaks of her obsessive drive to collect the beautiful and erotic artworks of Sadao Hasegawa. And MARK YOUR CALENDARS because something AMAZING happens this episode... JAMIE actually interrupts CHRISTINE!  It's a momentous historical event that has been weeks in the making and long overdue in our podcasts.

We heard you missed us. Well, we are BACK! We took a couple weekends off to travel a bit, but today brings us back to our Jealous Much ritual and the love we share with you, our dearest listeners. Reunited and it feels so goooood. In this week’s podcast we explore the topic of SELF-SABOTAGE and talk about our own personal experiences with creativity and our fear of failure or worse, SUCCESS. Hear about Jamie’s fame hangover the night of her successfully hosting the Instagrammies and how the only thing that took her out of that night’s slump of aloneness was dancing with a mysterious, cosmic cowboy to Christopher Cross’ Ride Like the Wind. Giddy up!!! Beyond exploring our roadblocks to creativity and completing projects, we discuss Jamie’s process in making her album and even set a deadline for its release this fall. We further delve into other stories about knifeplay with and accessorizing of Billy Idol, the supreme softness and delightfully pleasing scent of Prince's hand, and the lurid tale of what happened to David Coverdale's red leather furniture.

Jamie has been connecting with her familial roots and enjoying a glorious vacation in New Mexico this week, but we would never leave you starting the week without a new podcast from us. This week we have our minds on our money and our money on our minds.  Hear the story of how, in a state of depressed idiocy, Christine dug herself into a pit of miserable consumer debt in her late 30s and now is in the clear and flexing a 816 credit score today.  Jamie shares her story of the financial costs of seeking higher education in the United States and how one of the bigger financial risks she took, a semester overseas in Spain, is still worth every penny.

It's an all new episode, and we're excited to introduce our very first special guest... Reno's own badass lady, Sophia Shortz! She's leaving home soon for the land of palm trees and echo park cholas, but don't you dare tell her that nobody walks in LA!
