In dieser Folge behandeln wir die weiteren Diabetesformen: Typ 1 und Gestationsdiabetes.Diabetes Typ 1 betrifft nur 5–10 % aller Betroffenen. Es handelt sich um eine Autoimmunerkrankung – das Immunsystem zerstört die insulinbildenden Zellen. Die Folge ist ein absoluter Insulinmangel, der eine sofortige Insulintherapie nötig macht. Typisch ist der plötzliche Beginn im Kindes- oder Jugendalter mit starkem Durst, häufigem Wasserlassen, Müdigkeit und Gewichtsverlust.Gestationsdiabetes tritt erstmals in der Schwangerschaft auf. Ursache ist die hormonelle Umstellung, die den Zuckerstoffwechsel stört.In dieser Folge erfährst du das Wichtigste zu diesen Formen – und damit machen wir dich wieder fit für deine Prüfung und die praktische Ausbildung auf Station.

Wenn es wirklich darauf ankommt, wollen wir keinen Kaffee, keine Cola oder einen Energydrink angeboten bekommen, sondern nur Wasser. Die Frau, mit der Jesus im heutigen Bibeltext redete, hatte großes Interesse, als er vom »lebendigem Wasser« sprach. Sie kannte Hitze, Trockenheit und vor allem unbändigen Durst aus eigener Erfahrung.Wir erleben derzeit einen starken Trend zum Wassertrinken. Geruchsdosen in Wasserflaschen, die uns das Wassertrinken schmackhaft sollen oder auch 2-Liter-Wasserflaschen mit aufgedruckter Uhrzeit – eine Herausforderung, regelmäßig genug zu trinken. Man ist stolz darauf, wenn man es geschafft hat, genügend Wasser in sich hineingeschüttet zu haben.Unternehmen produzieren Limonade, Tee, Kaffee, Wein, Bier oder Fruchtsaft – aber Wasser ist eine Erfindung von Gott selbst. Man kann einfach an eine Quelle gehen und trinken. Und wenn es hart auf hart kommt, der Durst überhandnimmt, dann wollen wir auch nur noch Wasser. Nichts anderes. Wir brauchen auch nichts anderes so nötig zum Leben wie Wasser.Jesus spricht von einem Lebensdurst, den jeder Mensch hat. Er vergleicht ihn mit dem Durst nach Wasser. Nur er selbst, das lebendige Wasser, kann diesen Durst wirklich stillen. Menschen, die ihren Lebensdurst ohne ihn stillen wollen, scheitern letztendlich. Was befähigte ihn, über seinen Problemen zu stehen, statt von ihnen erdrückt zu werden? Die Perspektive Gottes! „Darum… wenn auch unser äußerer Mensch verfällt, so wird doch der innere von Tag zu Tag erneuert. Denn unsre Bedrängnis, die zeitlich und leicht ist, schafft eine ewige und über alle Maßen gewichtige Herrlichkeit, uns, die wir nicht sehen auf das Sichtbare, sondern auf das Unsichtbare. Denn was sichtbar ist, das ist zeitlich; was aber unsichtbar ist, das ist ewig.” (2.Kor 4,16-18 LU). Paulus verarbeitete die Dinge anders. Er glaubte: „Mein Gott aber wird all eurem Mangel abhelfen nach seinem Reichtum in Herrlichkeit in Christus Jesus” (Phil 4,19 LU). Angesichts der Todesdrohung schrieb er: „Ich habe Lust, aus der Welt zu scheiden und bei Christus zu sein, was auch viel besser wäre” (Phil 1,23 LU). Bitte Gott heute um seine Perspektive!

Like the saying goes, "better late than never", the Camerosity Podcast is back with Episode 91, which is dedicated to cameras of the 90s.  Which 90s you prefer, 1890s or 1990s, all 90s cameras are welcome! Joining Anthony, Paul, Theo, Stephen, and Mike are returning callers, AJ Gentile, Ira Cohen, Miles Libak, Nick Marshall, Robert Rotoloni, and Will Pinkham and we cover a wide range of 1990s cameras and technologies.  Paul starts off with some stories about mini labs and how single use cameras became a big thing.  We dive into bridge cameras, including the Olympus IS-2 which Mike gave rave remarks to. We discuss a large number of point and shoot cameras including premium models by Nikon and Konica, and ponder why the Olympus Stylus Epic is so popular today.  We talk about some dead end technologies from the 90s such as Minolta's ill fated Creative Expansion and Canon's obscure barcode scanner for the EOS 10S. Not all technologies from the 1990s were failures though as the 1990s was the first decade of digital cameras.  Models like the floppy disc Sony Mavica and Nikon D1 were great cameras with a historical significance which helped prove that digital photography had arrived. We round out the discussion with why Theo loves the Mamiya 7 so much and how it compares to the Mamiya 6, Robert shares some info on the development of the Nikon S3 2000 edition, and we have a thorough discussion on Kyocera's Contax SLRs.
