Finally we're off the mark! Our first win and first goal of the Premier League season came at Villa Park on Sunday but, had Steven Gerrard's team been a bit better than they are, it could've been a completely different story. David Moyes opted to start with five at the back but following a turgid opening 45 minutes, he decided to revert to the tried and tested 4-2-3-1 formation and suddenly things began to happen. Said Benrahma came on at half-time and instantly gave us some energy and intent going forward, and eventually Pablo Forbals expertly directed the winner over Emi Martinez's head, via a Villa defender's knee. Absolute genius finish! Now we're off the mark it feels like our season starts now, but we have Spurs and Chelsea next to threaten us building up any kind of momentum. This week, James and Will react to the win at Villa as well as discuss our Europa Conference League draw, which includes us coming up against Anderlecht, Silkeborg and FCSB in Group B this season. Also on the show, Will chats to Spurs fan and talkSPORT presenter Paul Coyte ahead of Wednesday night's huge game in Stratford, as well as broadcaster Tom Sheen about Chelsea ahead of Saturday afternoon's trip to Stamford Bridge. Irons! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and make sure you subscribe!

It's a special episode of LGBT FC from London! Luke's on vacay and got the chance to chat with LGBTQ fans of the beautiful game whose modern origins hail from England. To kick off this episode, Luke shares some of his thoughts on the Premier League from the perspective of a Major League Soccer supporter. At 15 minutes in, our first guest is Phil Thomas, supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs and a member of their official LGBTQ supporters group, the Proud Lilywhites. Then at 29 minutes in, our second guest is Patrick Hurley, with the Pride of Irons, which is the West Ham United LGBTQ supporters group. The Premier League has been a proper posh experience!
Once again we've failed to beat our bogey team, Brighton & Hove Albion. Not only that, we were comfortably beaten by them at home to make it three defeats from three without scoring at the beginning of this new Premier League season. It's getting a bit boring now, isn't it? David Moyes' players practically went missing on Sunday and have now left us rock-bottom of the Premier League - how depressing! But last week we did pick up our first win of the season in the Europa Conference League as we beat Danish outfit Viborg FF 3-1 to take a relatively comfortable lead into this Thursday's second-leg. We're once again joined by Henry Nicholls from Denmark in Football to get his view on the first-leg and how he sees the second playing out in Denmark. Also this week, we're treated to a very special voice note from friend of the show Tim Warwood, who gave us his views ahead of West Ham's trip to Villa on Sunday, while Will from the Talk of the Trinity podcast also dials in for a chat about his beloved Villa. Lots to chat about in this one as James and Will try and dissect how Brighton have tragically become our bogey team. We’ll also take you to Driggs, to the Penfold farm, where they’re celebrating a very big anniversary. Of course Paul Marchant will have Irons in the Fire later in the program.

Paige sits down with one of her most influential mentors, David Irons. He is a father of two, alongside his wife Rachel, and currently works as the Director of Freshman with a campus ministry organization at Kansas State University. You'll notice the word 'intentionality' keeps coming up as a defining characteristic of the men we bring on the podcast, and it's true once again for David. Listen in this week to hear him thoughtfully share some of his ideas about being a man, how to foster deep relationships in a community of men, and the men who made him.

Sometimes it's just not your day, and that was definitely the case on Sunday as we lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. An unfairly disallowed goal, missed penalty, wrong decision not to send off a Forest defender and hitting the woodwork three times? Yeah, it just wasn't our day. James and Will give their views on all the big talking points from Sunday's defeat while we're also joined by ex-Premier League referee Mark Halsey, who gave his verdict on all the big refereeing decisions in the game. Also on the show, James officially removes referee Rob Jones from the Jones family, the boys are joined by Henry Nicholls from Football In Denmark to help preview our Europa Conference League qualifier against Viborg on Thursday and Brighton fan Jeremiah dials in to give us his view on Sunday's Premier League clash at London Stadium. Up the Irons! Temas: 1 – Sign of the Cross 2 – Lord of the Flies 3 – Man on the Edge 4 – Fortunes of War 5 – Look for the Truth 6 – Judgement of Heaven 7 – Blood on the World´s Hands 8 – 2 A.M 9 – Judgement Day 10 – The Clansman 11 – Lightning Strikes Twice 12 – Como estáis amigos

This week on the IFRS. A groundbreaking for a $45 Million facility that will house a state of the art Dairy for the University of Idaho, near rupert. We’ll have more on that. The consumer price index is showing that inflation is still a big problem. We’ll hear from the American Farm Burea. And University of Idaho officials are trying out a couple of different new forage crops. And if you’re considering agritourism for your operation, the USDA has some things you should consider. Of course Paul Marchant’s Irons in the Fire later in the program.

The lads return this week to look back at the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the 22/23 Premier League season, after Erling Halland made very easy work of our makeshift defence. We appear to have gone from being a club with a striker curse to one with a defender curse as David Moyes was forced to pair Ben Johnson with Kurt Zouma at the back after Craig Dawson was ruled out with a thigh strain and Issa Diop supposedly refused to play ahead of his reported move to Fulham. Still, a 2-0 scoreline is a respectable one when you consider the circumstances and the huge gap in class between ourselves and Pep Guardiola's squad of superstars. Also this week, the lads are joined by Graeme Bryce, Midlands Football Correspondent at The Sun, to get the lowdown on Nottingham Forest ahead of next weekend, while the lads also ponder what Moyes might decide to do in the final weeks of the transfer window, especially given the continued lack of depth in some key areas of the squad. West Ham's pre-season is done and now we can finally look ahead to Sunday's first game of the season against Premier League champions Manchester City. The squad is no where near ready, with at least four new faces required before we can truly say we've fully strengthened this summer, but at least we can finally look forward to welcoming meaningful football back into our lives. On this week's show, our first proper one of the 22/23 campaign, James and Will mostly look ahead to the City clash and are joined by friend of the show and 93:20 Podcast's very own Ste Tudor, who was equally as pessimistic as we are ahead of the weekend. Ste admits City are not yet up to full speed from a fitness point of view and will need to iron out potential issues with Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, who are clearly yet to land on the same page judging by Sunday's Community Shield defeat to Liverpool. Also on this week's show, James reveals he's getting his first tattoos at the age of 34 and Will accuses him of going through an early mid-life crisis, while following last week's admission that he absolutely hates Tennis, Will reveals he's been playing Tennis with a mate. Confusing! As always, it's a great show with lots to discuss and we've also managed to keep our promise of a more streamlined show - hopefully we can stick to it as the season goes on! This episode of Dirty Water hits a high-water mark as Ben Mondy peels layers from "the best surfer in his generation never to win a world title" Julian Wilson. Many revelations, including Julian's arrest as a teen, the day he stared death in the face, not just his own, but Bruce Irons', Nathan Fletcher's and Maya Gaberia's, how he was forced to become the family breadwinner at fifteen after his mama got hit with breast cancer and why he wanted to beat hell out of a fellow competitor. Essential.

A couple of former teammates of Jimmy G in New England call Jimmy G "soft" and some other choice words, so Salk asks if being called soft is among the worst insults to be called in the game? Mark Levin- Dems Put Trump Aid in Leg Irons and Handcuffs and Find Clinton Aid Not Guilty by Jury Nullification. America continues to limp toward tyranny as a lawyer presents an open and shut case to a jury that was not objective and comprised of a few donors to the Hillary Clinton campaign and other ties to the judge. What America witnessed, with the Michael Sussman not guilty verdict, was jury nullification. The testimony presented by John Durham was clearly overwhelming, yet the jury felt it didn't meet the standard of guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. Thanks to Big Media, America is engaged in a conversation on mass shootings, and mental illness with no real facts, or hard data. A word of thanks also goes to Mitch McConnell and the RINO Republicans for discussing pointless gun control measures in Congress, even though there isn't a single bill they could pass that would stop crazy people from hurting innocent people. We must thank President Biden for focusing his attention on 9mm pistols and revealing how senseless their gun-grabbing desires are, right? A year ago, a gallon of gas on average was $3.04, today a gallon of gas on average in California is $6.21 and this program predicts that the national average will surpass $5.00 for a gallon for regular gasoline by next week. The government's boot is still on the throat of America's energy producers. OPEC has agreed to ramp up production, but this does nothing to accelerate U.S energy production. The January 6th Committee is a trojan-horse front for the Department of Justice to cast a wider net than a law enforcement agency is legally permitted to. This is unconstitutional as it violates the individual's Constitutional rights in a criminal proceeding. Earlier, Peter Navarro was held in contempt of Congress by the Congressional January 6th Committee. Navarro was indicted and immediately arrested at the airport and placed in handcuffs and leg irons for his political opposition to the committee's document request.
