In the book K.A.M.60 real name is = Karlex Antoine Messier 60 and he is part of the Messier family. In real life The Messier 60 object is the twin/butterfly galaxies. Get to know the writer: What is your screenplay about? The butterfly prince is a story of a fictional character K.A.M.60 that attempt to honour the great French astronomer Charles Messier who developed the Messier catalogue and discovered many Messier objects in the sky in particular in the Virgo constellation. K.A.M.60 real name is = Karlex Aristoteles Messier 60 and he is part of the Messier family. In real life The Messier 60 object is the twin/butterfly galaxies. The plot is about jealousy, family feuds adventures and love. The constellations of Libra and Leo that are a couple have declared the war to the Virgo constellation just because of jealousy, they wiped out the Virgo constellation population. The only people left are the Messier family. They decided to send KAM60 (1) of their sons to the planet earth in a quest to find 10 virgins/maidens to married the 10 Messier brothers and repopulated the Virgo constellation again. K.A.M.60 Embarks in a quest and very interested journey where he not only achieved his goals of find the correct Maidens whom married the Messier brothers, along the way he meets very interesting characters such as Centaurs, witches, Mythological creatures, Gods, zodiac constellations etc. He also lived the most amazing adventures rescuing, helping, curing, advising and even fighting for or with people once he lands in the planet Earth. Also, all the way the constellations of Libra and Leo (the bad guys on this plot) will do something to stop K.A.M.60 to achieve his goals but like a great hero he always defeats them. Additional, despite that this is a fantasy book most of the heroes KAM60, the maidens etc are based in real people. People that inspired me and that I believe will inspire others. Example of these people are; Charles Messier, Juana Cruz the 1st female Spanish bullfighter, Magdalena Zeger the 1st female astronomer, Marie Jose Perec, the best French female sprinter, ancient civilizations such as the Mayans, the Olmecs, the Dahomey's, the Vikings, The Amazon female warriors etc. There are also some interesting twists in the story such as the inclusion of fake/false Maidens, the Emerald ring that determines which are the real maidens/virgins, the butterflies tattoos and character names (most maidens have a butterfly name and of course all of them must have a butterfly tattoo, like KHAM 60 also had one) there is plenty of adventures, magic, mysteries, suspense, drama, mystic, action, Love, friendship, team work etc Plus the stunning locations around the world where all these adventures occurs. Thank you all !!! About Our Guest: Derrick Sole has been a long time reader of old newspaper articles of the odd unearthed from online digital newspaper archives from around the world. Looking at history through this lens has always been one of his, call it, past times. One could say it's fun. Currently though, he has stepped up that custom to include the protracted process of attempting to archive as much of these unusual and odd articles confined by time that, once found, get dusted off and given their day in the light once more. These now relics of a bygone era and their tales of high strangeness get neatly tucked away within the Odd Old News Substack, nested there for everyones entertainment, but also specifically for research purposes for himself and others. Why, one might ask, would someone spend hours and hours reading the old tombs of dusty newspapers, chasing down these gems of our history. Well, It all started one day long ago with a question, he wanted to see if there where any old newspaper articles about giant hairy wild men{What they used to call Big Foot} reported on in the last 200+ years or so. Low and behold, there were, and lots of them. The search was now on and soon expanded to other topics derived from a lifetime of interest that he has had in all things of high strangeness. Sea monsters, ghost, lost cities, wild man and more. With thousands of articles at present in the archive and what seems like an uninterrupted amount more to mine from time, Odd Old News is slowly making it easier for others to unmask the odd. From myths to cave art to descriptions of figures from history, we cover all the space. That includes the zodiac and constellations. That includes greek myths and Siberian tribes. Ali and Ever sit down with FirmTech's own Dr. Justin Elliot and talk about sex, pleasure, sexual health and CENTAURS! Just a heads up In this episode, Dr. Elliot—who is a cisgender, heterosexual male—uses some binary and cisnormative language when discussing sex and gender, referring to "penis" with AMAB and "vagina" with AFAB. He also misgenders Ever a lot but not intentionally. While we did our best to encourage the use of more inclusive terms such as "AMAB/AFAB," "people with vaginas/penises," and to center non-binary experiences, some of the language may still feel outdated or non-inclusive. We understand this might be frustrating or hurtful for some listeners. We want to acknowledge that impact, even if there was no harm intended. We found Dr. Elliot to be open-minded, sex-positive, and genuinely trying to engage in a respectful and inclusive conversation. There is also a brief mentioning of animal testing as well as human testing (Dr. Elliot tested on himself.) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Dr. Al Grauer hosts. Dr. Albert D. Grauer ( @Nmcanopus ) is an observational asteroid hunting astronomer. Dr. Grauer retired from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2006. travelersinthenight.org From August 2024. Today's 2 topics: - Richard Kowalski discovered 2016 WM48, a Centaur. Centaurs are named after the mythical beasts which were half human and half horse perhaps because they have characteristics of both asteroids and comets. 2016 WM48, is about a mile in diameter. We don't know if it has rings, tiny moons, or a gas cloud surrounding it as some other Centaurs do. 2016 WM48 must have had a catastrophic collision in the past few million years which put it on a very elliptical path which is tipped at 60 degrees or so to the solar system's plane. - The asteroid Psyche may be one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in the solar system. It is a small world about 116 miles in diameter and is composed of almost pure nickel-iron metal. It is located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Scientists find evidence that Psyche may be the exposed core of a planet which was destroyed by collisions as it was trying to form long ago. Pluto and its largest moon, Charon, orbit each other with gazes lovingly fixed on each other, held in place by a romantic tidal attraction. But Charon's large size has always been difficult to explain. New simulations show that their love affair may have started at the beginning with a "Kiss and Capture" collision, much gentler than the devasting impact that formed our own Moon. Hear all about that, Centaurs, space news, space trivia, and a new way to explain away Dark Energy with your friendly neighborhood astroquarks.

Stephen Mac Devitt looks at Centaur Art The Future of Art in the Age of Generative AI by Remo Pareschi Over the past two years Generative AI has taken grip of the public imagination, both hype and hysteria in equal measure. The ease of creating fantastical images by text alone, and the immediacy of social media to spread them far and wide, has given the very complex AI an easily digestible and understandable output. Arriving in the era of fake news, this feeds into ever growing concerns about what is real and what we can trust. Centaur Art The Future of Art in the Age of Generative AI reviewed Historically technological leaps bring controversy; the printing press, the camera, colour film, the list goes on. The existing order is upset, professions and skills are replaced, old methods replaced and new opportunities arise. Previously, to create an image, say of the Pope in a Balenciaga-style white puffer jacket, would have required in-depth knowledge of software such as Adobe Photoshop or similar, and a great deal of skill. Now, photorealistic imagery and video can be created by prompt alone at the touch of a button, some would argue democratising art and design, raising questions of who gets to call themselves an artist. It is in this space that Remo Pareschi writes Centaur Art, a book about the interplay of AI and artist, together in collaboration to form something new. This hybrid of human and algorithm, where machines processing vast amounts of data work with human insights, creativity and emotional intelligence to create an augmented or hybrid intelligence, with the potential to surpass either operating in isolation. Image is the lens the book examines AI through, while touching briefly on similar applications to other sectors such as government, military, healthcare and the corporate sector. The first parts of the book give context and background to AI and how it works, from its early origins to current evolutions. A similar background is given to previous artistic movements whose methods or underlying principles are relatable to generative AI imagery creation - those that have explicitly explored the automation of artistic creation and the use of systems and collaboration. The book then looks under the hood, attempting to pull back the curtain and explain the workings by comparing various different forms of AI, from those used in games to the networks required for user interaction. Returning to the core focus of the book, image, it looks at the latest generations of generative AI and how they can give the artist on one hand variability to allow for unexpected outcomes or happy accidents, and with the other have a degree of predictability so they can head towards a specific outcome. The space between a textual description and a visual counterpart. In the final section the lens focuses tightly on the artist and image creation, sharing examples of image generation and artists who are using the technology pushing the envelope. It is here I felt the author can be overly optimistic on the positive potentials that generative AI can bring. While these are many and very exciting, there is a missed opportunity round the discussion more deeply with the issues that many have with generative AI. These are less about how it is used and who gets to call themselves an artist, and more about the ethics of how the training data that the systems are built upon is gathered or scraped, the bias that data can bring, and issues of copyright and authorship. As a lecturer and an artist who uses generative AI in my own practice, overall I found the book informative and agree with the author and the Centaur model he discusses. Collaboration between natural and artificial intelligence, the back and forth of ideas and the iterative process, has the potential to enhance rather than replace human creativity. First we discuss RFK Jr.'s role in a decade-old cryptid mystery. Then Ben and Celestia recount the gory origin story of Pegasus, along with some other differences between Greek myth and My Little Pony. Ben goes into the economies of the very real trade in unicorn horns, which were a longtime pharmacist's staple (despite being nonexistent). We look at mentions of unicorns from the Bible to Shakespeare, as well as “real” ones including modified goats, arctic narwhals and the mighty rhinoceros. Moving onto centaurs, Celestia can't decide how to pronounce the name of the most famous centaur, Chiron, and then we learn about where you can see an actual centaur skeleton. Maybe!

My Catalina Sky Survey teammate Richard Kowalski was surprised to find a moving point of light on some his images which was more than 50 times brighter than a typical Earth approaching object he observes . He was even more amazed when it was not cataloged as a known object and he reported his observations to the Minor Planet Center. A couple of hours before Richard spotted it, scientists using the Space Surveillance Telescope in New Mexico had picked up this unknown object on some of their images but did not immediately report their observations. For the next 67 hours the new object was tracked by telescopes at 24 different observatories around the world. These observations allowed the Minor Planet Center to calculate an orbit, give it the name 2016 WM48, and classify it as a Centaur. Centaurs are named after the mythical beasts which were half human and half horse perhaps because they have characteristics of both asteroids and comets. Richard's object, 2016 WM48, is about a mile in diameter. We don't know if it has rings, tiny moons, or a gas cloud surrounding it as some other Centaurs do. 2016 WM48 must have had a catastrophic collision in the past few million years which put it on a very elliptical path which is tipped at 60 degrees or so to the solar system's plane. Centaurs do not have stable orbits. Their paths are changed as they come near to the giant planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. A Centaur's fate is to likely collide with the Sun or a planet or perhaps even be ejected from the solar system

This week on The Literary Life, Angelina and Thomas wrap up their series on J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter: Book 1. Angelina and Thomas begin the episode with some thoughts on their Aristotelian approach to literature as seen in this series of episodes. After sharing their commonplace quotes, they dive into their discussion of the last few chapters of the book. Some of the ideas they consider are how the entire plot is a series of symbols, alchemy and the allegory of the soul, and the figure of the “wildman” in the literary tradition. They also go over the characters of the centaurs, the significance of the unicorn, more references to Greek mythology, how Harry exemplifies the “chest” of the well-ordered man, and the great importance of the philosopher's stone as a Christ symbol. Visit HouseofHumaneLetters.com for classes with Angelina, Thomas, and other members of their teaching team. Commonplace Quotes: There is a sort of wild fairy interest in these tales which makes me think them fully better adapted to awaken and soften the heart of childhood that the “good boy” stories which have been in later years composed for them. In the latter case their minds are, as it were, put into the stocks…and the moral always consists in good conduct being crowned with temporal success. The truth is, I would not give one tear shed over Little Red Riding Hood for all the benefit to be derived from a hundred histories of Jimmy Goodchild. Sir Walter Scott, from a letter to a friend “I believe in God, not magic.” In fact, Rowling initially was afraid that if people were aware of her Christian faith, she would give away too much of what's coming in the series. “It I talk too freely about that,” she told a Canadian reporter, “I think the intelligent reader–whether ten [years old] or sixty–will be able to guess what is coming in the books.” Michael Nelson, quoting J. K. Rowling, from “Fantasia: The Gospel According to C. S. Lewis“ A Selection from “The Inferno”, Canto XII By Dante Alighieri, trans. by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow O blind cupidity, O wrath insane, That spurs us onward so in our short life, And in the eternal then so badly steeps us!I saw an ample moat bent like a bow, As one which all the plain encompasses, Conformable to what my Guide had said. And between this and the embankment's foot Centaurs in file were running, armed with arrows, As in the world they used the chase to follow.Beholding us descend, each one stood still, And from the squadron three detached themselves, With bows and arrows in advance selected; And from afar one cried: “Unto what torment Come ye, who down the hillside are descending? Tell us from there; if not, I draw the bow.” Book List: Studies in Classic American Literature by D. H.
