No matter what today brings, tomorrow is always a fresh start!
No matter how difficult the trials we walk through, we must cling to the truth about what Jesus has done for us. Stay encouraged, everyone. God is faithful!
It's okay to feel, to struggle, to need help, to show emotions, to be real, to be human. It is NOT okay to expect others to stop being human just to appease how we think they should handle something. Encouragement is good. Controlling expectations are bad.
Some things in life aren't positive, or we don't see them in a positive way. This is okay. You are human. You are here to be yourself. Just don't be an asshole.
You are unconditionally loved… right here, right now. Jesus longs for you to accept the gift of his heart for you.
We aren't robots. We are human. God understands that we don't understand everything and we never will. He delights in leading us to more truth. ❤️
Healing for ourselves and future generations comes as we peel back the layers of lies and dysfunction we have lived in, and learn to walk in the freedom Jesus gave us to be loved and to love.
We all have experienced or are experiencing a struggle with addiction or we know someone who has. Either way, Jesus longs for us to walk in freedom. May July be the month when we choose faith and love over fear! ❤️
As we learn to enjoy intimate time with our Heavenly Father and receive His grace and love for us daily… the fruitfulness of this practice will overflow into the rest of our lives. “Lay it All Down”…. https://youtu.be/RNacm6zR8eU
Who else out there has been consistently hurt by others and beaten down with scripture, or you've attended church trying to find solace only to be given a list of rules? I hope you all will join me on the path to healing through discovering more of the true heart of Jesus for us… rest for our souls. Perhaps a different and fresh approach to studying the Bible is what many of us need. Here's the link for the History Channel episode: https://youtu.be/W-dIr8Dv_lc
This life is about Jesus and what He longs for us to receive from Him. All of our doing will never equate to a relationship with God.
Sometimes, the things we prioritize in our lives keep us searching or striving for an elusive outcome. What if we filter our beliefs through the lenses of love and acceptance, and ask ourselves what truly leads to the heart of Jesus for us?
Let's talk about emotional triggers! Buckle in for the ride. God has made us brave, and we can do hard things….but we all need help and support!
We often think of “home” as being a place to go to, but what if we shift our perspective and consider “home” as also being a space within ourselves? Would we do anything differently to care for that space?
All that Jesus completed for us on the cross has given us freedom!! May we know who we truly are, may we walk in it, and may God's truth be shared through families across the globe!
Reflections and ramblings on grief as the 4 year anniversary of my mom's passing approaches…. and a reminder to cherish those you love. What would any of us do without Jesus? ❤️
Don't forget whose you are and who you are! Scripture references are from Romans 6:4-7 and Romans 6:11. Here's the link for 101 truths about our identity in Christ: https://reasonsforhopejesus.com/101-truths-identity-in-christ/
Just a beginning of the week reminder for us all about how loved we are by the One who said “it is finished!” My heart is filled with gratitude for Jesus. ❤️
Please know that your mistakes do not have the power to change God's timing or plan for your life. Be encouraged! His plans are so good for those who love Him!!
Keep your eyes on Jesus and REST in His GRACE!! You are unconditionally loved! “Hello peace….Hello joy…Hello love….Hello strength….Hello hope….it's a new horizon” ~From “Fear is Not My Future” by Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music
I'll let this verse speak for the greatest message that vulnerability is about: “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." -1 Peter 4:8
Much of this episode is based on reflections from what Jesus prayed in Matthew 26 before the crucifixion. The account of all that he experienced is sobering yet inspiring at the same time. May we all learn to place our hope in Him, and to trust God's plan even when our trials and suffering don't go away. One day, they will. The best is yet to come.

If we are sensitive to the example of Jesus in our lives, we can learn from his honesty with others. God expects us to be good stewards of the hearts of our brothers and sisters in Christ, and we cannot do that if we run from speaking the truth in love. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
We don't always feel that we have a safe space to share our struggles, feelings, or who we are in general… however, the challenges of life prove over and over again that we all need a safe place to land. Our society is experiencing a mental health crisis of epic proportions. It's important that we have meaningful connections with others, and to remember that we don't have to hold ourselves together. We are emotional beings, and it is necessary to share how we feel in our struggles instead of pretending to be okay. We were not designed to do this life alone. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

I often hear the claims that “love is not a feeling” and that “people tend to leave once the feelings wear off.” However, let's consider that the feelings don't have to evaporate. Love has staying power, it is both feeling and knowing. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Our world often seems to be limited when it comes to the giving and receiving of empathy. How much more would our connections with others thrive and bring comfort in hard times just by setting our agendas aside to mindfully be present and listen? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Why are we so ruled by worries about money and growth and in chains over perceptions about where we and others should be in life? What is it that truly brings us joy? The first relationship we were created to enjoy is the one we have with God. If you have accepted Jesus into your heart, you are no longer broken. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 shows: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” We can believe in what Jesus did for us on the cross. Knowing our identity in Jesus as God's children will help us stand firm in faith through trials and overcome the lies of the enemy. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Proverbs 18:21 shows that death and life are in the power of the tongue. How can we speak life-giving words over ourselves, others, and our circumstances? We live in a world where it's so easy to get weighed down by the daily grind. We deal with grief and stress and worries. We run on energy drinks from sleepless nights of thinking too much. Our time with God is crucial for building relationship with Him, which will ultimately impact how we handle what life brings our way. This time with Him will look different depending on the person and the day at hand. Let's consider how we can develop a heart that is more in tune with what truly matters. Scripture references: Matthew 6:9-13 (focus on verse 11) “Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Matthew 6:31-34 “So don't worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?' or ‘What will we drink?' or ‘What will we wear?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
