When you take an inventory of the relationships in your life, do you find you're invested in those who don't yet know Jesus? If you only surround yourself with people who think and act like you, you're not able to be a conduit of God's grace to those who truly need it. Pastor Dion reveals that Jesus did ministry wherever He was because He was about relationships. His friend list included tax collectors, sinners, and prostitutes. God freely gave you His grace so you can give it to those who are desperate for it.

What makes you truly excited to the point of rejoicing? Do you get loud and celebrate when your favorite sports team wins? Do you get excited and rejoice when you're at a concert? Pastor Dion will be challenging you today to examine if you're able to celebrate and rejoice over temporal earthly things, but not so much over eternal things. Are you filled with celebration when someone gets saved? Do you rejoice when you see a marriage restored or a wayward child coming back home?

If you were offered a free luxury package vacation that included an all-inclusive resort, free food, and free excursions, chances are you would be excited, but you would be waiting for the catch. In this world, typically, nothing like that is just offered for free. Today, Pastor Dion will be explaining to you how, as a child of God, you've been truly given a free luxury package that you don't have to earn by works. He's given you access to His throne, He's given you entrance into Paradise, but also freedom from sin!

God's Simple Truth

As Pastor Dion continues his teaching series through the Book of Galatians, he'll be encouraging you to trust in God's provision and grace. God is faithful, even when you aren't being faithful, because He is not like man. You have been given an incorruptible inheritance from God the Father because you became His child the moment you received the free gift of salvation through Jesus. You can rejoice in knowing that you have all the benefits of being God Almighty's child.

What's the source of your salvation? Is it from going to Church 3 times a week or reading your Bible every day? Is it from keeping the rules and being kind to others? So many of us live that way. As Pastor Dion will remind you in today's message, salvation doesn't come from anything you can do. God does care about your actions, but they can never be good enough for His approval. It's only when you allow Christ to cover your sinful heart that you can be seen as righteous in God's sight.

If you've studied the Bible for any length of time, you've likely noticed a pattern. From character to character, they all have something in common: they are normal, everyday sinners. Yet, God loves them, and He uses them to do great things. As Pastor Dion illustrates in the story of the adulterous woman and her confrontation with Jesus, God is gracious, but He doesn't want you to stay in your sin. He forgives our sin and then proceeds to push us towards a righteous life that glorifies Him.

Your works cannot save you. You can live a horrible life of sin and rebellion against God, yet, in His incredible grace, He will save you on your deathbed if you genuinely repent. That isn't a reason to put off this decision (that's a risky game to play), but it does demonstrate the nature of His love. As Pastor Dion demonstrates with the story of the thief next to Christ on the cross, he was minutes from death, but Christ didn't require anything of him but his faith, and he granted him access to the Kingdom.

Even children, who are the most innocent amongst us, are naturally sinful. From a very early age, they know how to lie, cheat, steal, and ultimately put themselves over others. We have Adam and Eve to thank for this. Their choice to trust their own judgment over God's led to their fall, and that nature has been passed on to all of us from birth. As Pastor Dion will remind us in today's message, even if you feel like you're pretty good, you still fall short and desperately need a Redeemer.

God has invited you into His family. He went beyond simple compassion for you; He didn't just feel bad for you. He loved you so much that He made a way for you to become a son or daughter alongside His son Jesus. As Pastor Dion continues to dive into the book of Galatians in today's message, he will remind you of the extreme grace that has been extended to you. All you have to do is believe and accept it, and through Christ, you can be made righteous and find belonging in God's house.

You have been born into sin. You can live by the law, keep every commandment to the best of your ability, yet in the end, it wouldn't be enough. Your heart still holds sin, even if you are nearly perfect on the surface. The gap between you and the perfection of God is far too wide. There's nothing you can do to cross it on your own. But, as Pastor Dion will lovingly remind you in today's message, Christ has bridged that gap, and He invites all to cross through Him into intimacy with His Father.

Whenever we experience hatred or persecution for our faith, it can sometimes catch us off guard. Rather than remembering the spiritual battle at hand, we sometimes go off of instinct and forget the majority of what we've learned. As Pastor Dion will teach you in his message today, the most important thing we can do is remind ourselves that God wants to save that person, too. In his study, you'll learn that one of the common reasons many become so hostile is due to the spiritual conflict within themselves.

Perhaps one of the most unfortunate misconceptions regarding salvation is that it's a simple profession of faith and life goes on. Rather than an amazing life that's filled with adventure and growth, many think of salvation as a single event in life. However, as Pastor Dion will teach you in today's message, salvation is only the beginning to a life of abundance and joy. In his study, you'll learn how Jesus has every intention for you to continually grow in faith and proclaim His message abroad.

When a seed is planted, someone must come along to water it so that it can grow! Without water, it'll stay in the soil and never be what it's supposed to be. I feel like that's what Christ wants us to think of when He calls us to community. You see, you need community to help you grow, and more importantly, you need Jesus to become the kind of person you're supposed to be. Today, Pastor Dion says the church was made for your growth. The church is there, so you're pushed to become more like Jesus!

Being lonely is one of the worst feelings a person can feel. You feel like there's no one around who can lift your spirits! Yet, when we find true friendship, we can start thriving because when we feel desired, we feel loved. Today, Pastor Dion says the church was built by design. If you're a believer, you need community because it'll push you closer to Christ. You'll be challenged to be who God calls you to be! If you're a parent, then you'll know that one of the things children know how to do best is make a mess. I remember when I was little, I disliked being told to put my toys away because it felt like so much work! Yet, I think that's what Pastor Dion is telling us to do today. He says that for you to save your soul, you must put away all the sins you have held in your heart. This doesn't mean you'll be perfect; in fact, it means quite the opposite. You will fail at this, but that's where Jesus comes in to redeem you from your failures!

When I was little, I would play hide and seek with my cousins and siblings all the time. My favorite role to play was the seeker because I'd never know where I would find someone, and it was always fun to see how creative people got. Of course, now that we're all adults, it's a lot harder to play hide and seek… In today's message, Pastor Dion says you must seek after Jesus every day of your life. The only way to have a relationship with someone is if you desire it! Run after a relationship with Jesus today!

Think of the things you “put on” at the beginning of the day. You consider what clothing is necessary for the job you have to do. You might “put on” some kind of fragrance or apply deodorant for the day ahead. For women, you might “put on” some makeup or a layer of lotion on dry skin. In a similar fashion, Pastor Dion wants you to put on these qualities and characteristics that God calls you into when you decide to be a follower of Jesus. Are you clothed with these things?
