John 15:1-11 Why isn't this rose bush producing any flowers? What does it need? Jesus is our source, we need food! Get into his word, and bear fruit. Just like I love my roses, God loves us. I'm not going to give up on that little bush, I am going to do all that I can to save it... but at some point if there is no fruit it will have to be cut down and burned - death. Do you understand? It's not to late... Blessings!

Acts 7:54-60 - The Stoning of Stephen. Saul was there, Paul... holding the garments of those who where stoning him. God used Stephen filled with the Holy Spirit to boldly testify that Jesus was the Messiah, that he fulfilled Old Testament prophecy, and the law. Stephen witnessed to Saul. He planted seeds in Saul's life. He died not knowing who Saul would become - the apostle Paul. You never know when you are being used. You may have the ball in your hands, shoot for the 3 pointer, and never get to hear the crowd roar as the ball rolls on the rim through the net. God is using you. I pray you are blessed and encouraged today!

Romans 5 - Trials build endurance and endurance character. I am definitely a character, but I love Jesus - what about you? It's not too late to start running with Jesus. He loves you! He died for you! In Romans 7 Paul, the author of the book, says the things he wants to do he doesn't, and the things he doesn't want to do he does. We are all sinners - but he still loves us and wants us to choose him! I pray you are blessed and encouraged!

Jeremiah 29:4-11 No matter what you are going through in your life, trust Jesus. Read his word, and be encouraged! Part of trusting him is being ok with our circumstances because we know he reigns victorious. I win because of am on the winning team, no matter where life takes me. AMEN! I pray you are encouraged, and blessed today!

Genesis 3:1-7 'Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden?" Satan is still using the same tactics on us that he use on Eve. 1 Peter 1:1 "Peter an Apostle of Christ.." Know who you are. Get into the word so that you aren't deceived. Be bless and encouraged.

John 13:36-38; Luke 22:31-34; Job 1:6-12 Satan must go to God before he does anything. Remember that God is in control, even when you don't understand. God will bring you through the sifting, and use the trial for his Glory. Go and use it to strengthen your brothers! I pray that you are encouraged and blessed!

Jesus forgives, do you know him? Pharisee did not recognize who Jesus was. Luke 7:36-50 Anointing by the sinful woman. "... Therefore, I tell you, her sins have been forgiven - for she has loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." The demons know who HE is. Demon-possessed in Gerasene. Matthew 8:28-34; Mark 5:1-20; Luke 8:26-39 "When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, 'what do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to God you won't torture me!'" He loves you, you are worthy of his love! Luke chapter 1 & Matthew chapter 1 Zechariah, Elizabeth, Mary, Joseph... God uses normal people for His glory. The key is giving Him control. Submission affects our attitude. It makes a difference in the way we see ourselves, and our surroundings. It affects our heart, our actions, and the words that come out of our mouthes. If I can submit to God, my whole life will be impacted. It's a daily decision to allow God to be the Lord of everything in your life (to submit), but it's worth it! Be blessed!

Matthew 28:16-20 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” GO and make disciples (a follower of Christ), and BAPTIZE in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and TEACHING them to obey everything that I have commanded you. How do we know what to teach them? The Bible. Notice it also says EVERYTHING - we cannot leave anything out! The whole word of God is our instruction manual, our text to follow. Be blessed, and GO!

Job 42:4-6 "You said 'Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.' My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes." Thank you God for all that do, for the breath in my lungs, for loving me. We praise your might name! Be blessed and encouraged today.

Job 38-40 God responds to Job. We all know Job is grieving, and upset and just wants to know why? God replies with questions of his own. It is so important that we understand who God is. We so easily can get the idea in our head that He is just this loving father, that cares and wants only the best for all of us and forget that he is THE CREATOR. Think about who He is in your life. I pray that this encourages you and your walk with Him. Blessings!

Job 3 - 12 Your freinds mean well, but if you really want the right answers, go to God. He IS! Be blessed!

Job 1:13 - 2:10 "... and he fell to the ground in WORSHIP and said 'Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.' In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing." Isaiah 55:89 God's ways are not our ways. We're not always going to understand... we have to be ok with that. How? RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. Be blessed today!

God created you for a relationship with Him. As we go through the book of Job I pray that God reveals Himself to you in a way that is so personal, you are never the same again. Job 1:1-12 Hebrew 4:12 Be encouraged today!

I was totally wrong - it's Hebrews! Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Romans 8:1 (read the whole chapter) Isaiah 48:10 "Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction." Daniel 4 Could all the things that the people of God went through - captivity in Babylon have been for the sake of saving King Nebuchadnezzar's soul? Don't question what God is doing, just be obedient, and give God your ALL. I pray today you are blessed and encouraged!

Romans 8 We have to trust God no matter what. Stop listening to the lies and living according to your flesh, and listen to the Holy Spirit of God, and his truth - the Bible. Romans 8:38 "... nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Did you hear that? NOTHING can separate us! Trust Him no matter what, and He will bring you through. Blessings!

Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 13:32-36 Remember what you are called to do. If you stay busy doing what He asks, you will not have a problem staying awake! (Here's where I am reading in the chronological bible reading: Jeremiah 39-40 & Lamentations 1-5)

Proverbs 12:25 "Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad." James 3:6 "And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell." What kind of fire are you setting? Hell fire, or Holy Spirit fire? It's never to late to change course, to put out the hell fire, and let the Holy Spirit - God's Holy Spirit set your life ablaze! I pray you are encouraged! Blessings

Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Websters Dictionary "Hope: The feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best." "Faith: confidence or trust in a person or thing." "Trust: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. confident expectation of something; hope." Hope, faith, and trust all go hand in hand in or relationship with Jesus. Let him give you peace. Read His word, pray (talk to him), he is faithful! Be blessed and encouraged!

I may not know what I will be doing tomorrow, but I know I am chasing after Jesus! Don't worry, God's got you! Matthew 6:25-34; Mark 7:6-7 (I think I may have said Mark 6 in my podcast, but it's Mark 7); Proverbs 22:6 Praying that this podcast encourages you to do all you can for Jesus today... 1 Corinthians 6:19 "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;" No matter where you are, or what you are doing, God is with you. His Holy Spirit lives in you. Be who He has called you to be, don't try to be something you are not. Luke 17:20-37 The Coming of the Kingdom (of God) Romans 2:14-15 "...They demonstrate that God's law is written on their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right." Be careful of opinions. What does God's word say? You can ALWAYS trust God's word. I am reading "The Daily Bible In Chronological Order, 365 Daily Readings, (NIV) With devotional Insights to Guide You Through God's Word". This book has been a great way for me to read through the Bible and to also understand what is going on during the time everything is happening. God has shown me so much! Be encouraged, read your Bible and God will speak to your heart.

The last month has been a real trial. I have questioned everything - who I am, what I am doing, even my relationship with Jesus! The devil is a liar!
