God's timing, humor, and consistency are too perfect to miss. This episode dives deep into the divine alignment between Scripture, music, and memory—showing that you can't make this stuff up. When songs from Maverick City Music—“Too Good to Not Believe,” “Refiner,” and “Kingdom” featuring the lyric “Do you wanna know what Heaven looks like? It's looking like me and you”—randomly shuffled into my quiet time, it felt like heaven itself was speaking. In this powerful reflection, I share how Proverbs 10, my parents' timeless wisdom, and a “random” playlist all collided to prove one truth: God's consistency is undefeated. Verse after verse reminds us that righteousness brings joy, diligence beats laziness, and wisdom invites discipline. My mom used to say, “Count your many blessings, name them one by one,” and my pops would remind me, “Boy, you're the greatest—so act accordingly.” Turns out, they were echoing what God wrote 3,000 years ago.

A controversy has been stirring in the Christian music world after Forrest Frank announced that he felt convicted by the Lord not to attend the Dove Awards, an event many see as the Grammys of Christian music. His decision sparked quite a reaction, especially from country star Jelly Roll who seemed to take unction to Frank's conviction. And while Jelly Roll delivered an emotional, faith filled speech at the Dove Awards, a different version of him showed up just a few days later in front of Michigan football fans, this appearance raises serious questions about his authenticity and public faith. Today, we'll take a closer look at what's happening across the contemporary Christian music scene, with Maverick City Music marred in a lawsuit from former members and the former Newsboys frontman Michael Tait having tapes released of his apology to people he took advantage of, leaving many wondering what is going on in the CCM world and has it always been rife with hypocrisy, lies and wickedness?   Follow Good Fight Ministries on: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/goodfightministries Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/goodfightministries Twitter/X: https://www.twitter.com/goodfightmin TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@goodfightministries Support Us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/goodfight   We're on Rumble! https://rumble.com/GoodFightMinistries

This week on REWIND: Harry Styles is getting real cheeky with his new Pleasing line—and it is pleasing for sure. Over in Love Island land, JaNa and Kenny's breakup is OUT OF NOWHERE and messier than expected, and Cierra won't log off. Should Ghislaine Maxwell actually be pardoned? (We said what we said.) We get into a BIG DISCUSSION on Maverick City Music, their philosophy after one of the founder's controversial interviews, and discuss how “music business” faith-based music needs to be. Beyoncé reunited Destiny's Child for the last stop of the Cowboy Carter Tour and now REWIND is (jokingly) beefing with BEY!! Sydney Sweeney's jean are blue, and her American Eagle campaign is giving flop. Does Fantastic Four leaves us ON FIRE or lukewarm? "Constant" by Anthony Gargiula, Jordin Sparks, and Maverick City Music reminds us of this powerful truth—God is constant. His attributes, promises, and purposes never shift.Communicable vs. Incommunicable Attributes: God shares some of His attributes (like love and mercy) with us, but others (like omniscience and immutability) belong to Him alone.Implications of God's Unchanging Nature: Because God is constant, His love, promises, and salvation are secure. We don't have to fear that He will change His mind or go back on His word.Practical Application: How understanding God's immutability can bring peace and stability to our lives.Key Scriptures:Malachi 3:6 - “For I the Lord do not change.”Hebrews 13:8 - “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”Numbers 23:19 - “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind.”James 1:17 - “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”Psalm 102:25-28 - A declaration of God's eternal nature.BITEs (Bible Interaction Tool Exercises) Used:Read in contextMake observationsRead in various translationsStudying a topicMeditate on ScriptureCompare and contrastAdditional ResourcesLyrics - New Release TodayDoes God's Immutability Need to Change? - Credo PodcastDoes God Suffer? - Credo PodcastThe Immutability and Impassibility of God - The Gospel Coalition EssayWhat are the communicable and incommunicable attributes of God? - GotQuestions.org ArticleLearn more about my favorite Bible Study Software with a 30-day free trial and links to my all-time favorite Bible resources - Logos Bible Software Affiliate LinkThis Week's ChallengeExamine the Scriptures that declare the immutability of God in their context. In this podcast episode 52 "The Ministry of Presence," Cherisse and her friend Christie Willumsen, explore the importance of "Being Present": with God, with our friends, and learning how to be present with ourselves too. Christie, a self proclaimed introvert, steps way out of her comfort zone to be here and share her journey. She shares her story and of how and when her heart was captured by Jesus. We talk Introverts vs Extroverts. We talk raising children and even being a new Grandparent. We talk about the hills and valleys of marriage and how she and Bob have mentored us through the last decade of marriage and truly championed our marriage when we need it most. We talk about Grief, deep grief and how do we walk beside friends in deep seasons of sorrow. How to love them well. She shares how this season of life has brought about "The Journey Collective" a way for her to love on her friends well through making a beautiful reminder they can see daily to show them their love and value. She shares what she is learning in this process and how these works of art are bringing light and hope out of some dark corners of life.  Chrisite shares the power of being PRESENT with our friends in times of grief and truly how the simple act of showing up for your friends in times or joy and sorrow can be the biggest gift we can offer those we love.  She leaves us with these words: "It is ok to not be okay. Be willing to be honest with where you are and what you are feeling. Find a trusted person you can be really vulnerable with that will just walk with you as you process and doesn't feel the need to fix you. Today, we talk about the Hands Off My Porn campaign and pornographers going all in for Kamala Harris and the evil consequences this has for child safety. We also discuss Maverick City Music collaborating with rapper GloRilla to make a worship song on her new album — a worship song that is, of course, surrounded by other excessively vulgar songs and collaborations with rappers like Megan Thee Stallion and Sexyy Red. And you won't believe what Bill Clinton said about illegal immigration while speaking at a Harris campaign event.
