Today we're happy to be joined by Damien and Kennedy Nash, who share their story of how they found success in ministry through using social media platforms to reach and engage people with the gospel. They explain that while their primary focus is to reach unbelievers with the gospel, they also enjoy making fun videos that help people laugh. They encourage other leaders to use social media platforms to share Christ's love and bring people closer to God. They also share testimonies of people who have been saved by hearing the gospel on TikTok and how it has changed their lives for the better. They also say that it's important to have tough skin and not get caught up in arguments with others. With that, let's tune in and become an undefeatable warrior! In this episode, we discuss how being open about your weaknesses can help you to grow and be more effective in your ministry. We also discuss how being a Christian does not mean that you have to hide from or deny your weaknesses, but instead use them as opportunities to be exposed to God and grow in your relationship with Him. We encourage you to open up and share your faith, as this will lead to an impactful legacy. Quotes: "It's all right to acknowledge your weaknesses." "You got your strengths, you got your weaknesses. Today we discuss how to be effective witnesses in the world, and how to avoid being judgmental. We talk about how the church can be more welcoming to those who do not adhere to its strict moral standards. It is difficult to be comfortable in the world, and we need to get out there and minister to those who are different from us. In order to do this, we need to be willing to be uncomfortable. It is also important to make the first step in building relationships with others despite it being difficult to do at first. By sharing today's story, we hope to encourage others not to feel so uncomfortable when they're in new environments or meeting new people, but rather embrace it as an opportunity to learn more about God and His love for us. Today, we're going to be discussing how to make sure your voice stays effective. We want to help you be able to tell people what you've seen and heard, but also help you be able to have an impact in the conversation by using your words wisely. We want to help you be able to have an impact on the conversation by shining your light into the shadows. We want you to be a light in the darkness, and we believe that it's important for Christians to have an opinion on controversial topics. However, we don't want our opinions to change people's views of us or listen to us more than we should. We're also going to be discussing how wisdom is important when it comes to winning souls. One way to gain wisdom is by studying greats like Paul and how he was successful in winning people over. We want you to be careful about how you talk and choose what words you use because these religious mantras can quickly alienate people. Can you connect with the interest of your non-Christian friends, of your nonchristian coworkers, of your neighbors? Can you find it within yourself to just get a little deeper into their life so that they can get into yours and find out about Christ? Take the step In this conversation as we talk about how important it is to build relationships with people and to connect with them on a meaningful level. We should be trying to make connections with people regardless of their social status or life experience. Patience is also a key when evangelizing. It is important to listen to people before preaching to them, in order to understand their backgrounds and interests. When we listen well, we're expressing the love of Jesus, just by taking time to intently hear what the person has to say. Quotes: "Can you dive into their world a little bit? Again, not to the deepest depth, but just dive into their world?" When you are talking with people and you listen intently, get good at listening. It's not just the pastors on stage. … All of us are called to reach the people that Christ has put in our lives and in our circle of influence, so we have to be able to embrace the role that we've been called to play in that vision.” - Alex Anefils Enjoyed this Episode of the Lead Well Podcast? I personally think that trust is a choice. Typically, we have two options – we can choose to trust or we can choose to be suspicious. I think that with those two opportunities, if we choose to trust and realize people are already worthy of that, just like I mentioned in my story that Jesus, He trusted His disciples.
