At our Interactive Midweek Service, Pastor Colins Nwosu continued his exhortation on A Man's Heart Part 2, teaching that God's primary focus is not outward appearance but inward condition. From 1 Samuel 16:7, we were reminded that while people look at the external, the Lord examines the heart. The battle within the heart is real, as Galatians 5 explains the constant tension between the flesh and the Spirit. Victory therefore begins internally before it manifests externally. Building on Romans 12 and Philippians 4, the church was taught that transformation requires intentional renewal of the mind and disciplined thought patterns. A heart that seeks, loves, and delights in God wholeheartedly positions a believer for divine approval and direction, as seen in 1 Chronicles 28:9 and Matthew 22:37. What occupies the heart shapes character, decisions, and destiny. When the heart is aligned with God, the life reflects His will, purity, and power. Confession: My heart belongs fully to the Lord. My thoughts are renewed and aligned with His will.
God is refining us and purifying us. One area in which we all can use a little refining is in the use of our tongues. We've all been guilty of saying something we regretted as the words were coming out of our mouth. It's sort of like a mean email, isn't it? Once you click "send", it's too late to take it back! Turn to Proverbs seventeen.
This message is about allowing God to deal with your heart.
What makes you happy? There are about 343 million people in this country and I'd wager that there are about the same number of answers to that question! The truth of the matter is that happiness is fleeting if we wrap it up in the things of this earth. Right now, let's turn in our Bibles to Proverbs seventeen.

Do you enjoy cooking? Even if you're not that great at it, cooking is a lot of fun, and a great source of satisfaction. Any cook worth their salt knows that preparation is a key to a successful dish! Today on Bridging the Gap, we'll bring you another study in Proverbs, as we learn how to have a properly prepared heart.
When you go to church this Sunday, will you prepare ahead of time? I don't mean putting on the appropriate clothing and making sure you bring your Bible. Those things are fine, but I mean will you prepare your heart for worship? Having a prepared heart is so important in that setting and many others as well. Let's join pastor Lloyd now for a study in Proverbs chapter fifteen.

David was far from perfect—as a matter of fact, he committed adultery and murder. Pastor Colin talks about what made him “a man after God's own heart,” and how you can be a man or a woman after God's own heart too.
In this concluding episode of the Five Blasphemies series, Barb Ernster and Katie Moran reflect on the fifth blasphemy against the Immaculate Heart of Mary—those who insult, mock, or desecrate Mary through her sacred images. They explore the history of iconoclasm, tracing it back to the 7th and 8th centuries, and explain how the Church affirmed the rightful place of sacred images at the Second Council of Nicaea in 787. Barb and Katie also discuss the beauty and purpose of Catholic sacred art, and how images of Mary are meant to lift our hearts and minds to God, not replace worship. They address modern sources of hostility toward Marian images, including godless ideologies and movements that echo this ancient heresy. To close the series, listeners are encouraged to take part in the First Saturday Virtual Pilgrimage, using the First Saturday Passport and Treasures of the First Saturday Devotion as guides for prayer, reparation, and deeper devotion to the Immaculate Heart.
Jesus gave a parable of a farmer planting seed in Mark 4, and He mentioned the kinds of soil where seed can be planted. Three kinds of soil kept the seed from doing well. One kind of soil caused the seed to produce. The four kinds of soil refer to four kinds of people. Which soil are you? In this fourth part of the Five Blasphemies series, Barb Ernster and Katie Moran talk about the serious offense of keeping children away from the Blessed Mother or teaching them to fear or reject her. They share Scripture, personal insights, and experiences that show how the enemy tries to influence children early—and why introducing them to Mary helps form hearts rooted in faith, purity, and protection. They also highlight helpful resources for families: • Fatima Friends Adventure Guide — a fun and meaningful way to teach children about Mary, Fatima, Marian Consecration, and the Fatima children. • Passport + Treasures of the First Saturday Devotion — an $8 set designed to support families and individuals joining the First Saturday Pilgrimage. Next week: The final episode of the series, covering the fifth blasphemy against the Immaculate Heart.

How can we make investments that last for eternity? This message from Matthew 6 shows how generosity shifts our hearts from temporary gain to eternal reward. Tune in and be reminded that our investment in gospel work is the only one that lasts forever.
In this episode, Barb Ernster and Katie Moran continue the series on the five sins that wound the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Today they reflect on the blasphemies spoken against Mary's Divine Motherhood, a truth defended by the early Church and proclaimed at the Council of Ephesus. Barb and Katie explain why Mary is rightly called Mother of God, how this dogma protects the truth about Christ's identity, and why denying her Divine Motherhood impacts our understanding of her mission and our faith. They also discuss the roots of this teaching, the Nestorian heresy, and the spiritual importance of honoring Mary as both the Mother of Jesus and our spiritual mother. As always, they connect these teachings to the First Saturday devotion and the call to offer reparation through prayer and love. Watch out for Episode 4, where Barb and Katie continue the series with the next sin against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
