Loot, Shoot, Lane is a Blizzard Fancast dedicated to Diablo, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm. Cade and Matte discuss their thoughts on what's new in the world of Blizzard every week.
Back for another episode, the team starts out of order this week. There was talk of MMO’s that aren’t Blizzard made but still fun. The Overwatch PvE event was a huge success, enjoyed by all! Neo is basically pro in HoTS now with updates on how his competitive league has been going. Diablo has fallen onto the back burner as the season winds down. Finally the big topic of personal life and gaming life, how to balance, and how to do both. Follow Neo & Toons on Twitter
Hey! We’re back for your favorite bimonthly podcast released every month or so...Hear us meander through the usual topics of life, gaming and the pursuit of sneak attack damage… We delve a bit into what's been going on with our gaming time and what we’re looking forward to in our favorite Blizzard titles, and also talk about some non Blizzard stuff including a little DND. Anyway stay awhile and listen and other topical puns/jokes and enjoy!
The first episode since season 13 launched so lets talk about it! Neo is a lot like Goku, every time he dies he comes back stronger. Micro transactions still bother us but not as much as paying for the internet twice. HoTS voice chat… not that bad. And a new Overwatch hero might make us play the game more. Toons also vapes, more than a couple of times.
Like the return of some mythological beast though to be long lost to the world its an episode of Loot Shoot Lane, we briefly discuss why we haven’t been around and dive into Diablo and similar games coming out, and our anecdotal experiences with Bitcoins, Overwatch, and MemePods… I mean liquid laundry detergent delivery pods… Anyway, stuff and things. You can find us @iRQNeo and @iRQToons on the twitters or drop us a line at lootshootlane@gmail.com See you real soon. Maybe.
In which a couple of dudes get together for a weekly podcast recorded somewhat monthly or every now and then…. Welcome back! It’s time to finally check in with the boys, there are comments made about Blizzcon but honestly not much and we have an email of sorts which we find difficulty remaining on that topic too…it must be Thursday, i never did quite get the hang of Thursdays. There is chatting about Blizzard and gaming and hardware, what more could you want? Wait, did someone say 'Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker'? Oh, no you mean DoorFrame: Adventures in Space Ninja Carpentry! Well, we got that too. Anyway, tell us what you want, what you really want that is, by tweeting to @iRQToons or @iRQneo or send us that sweet sweet long form prose at LootShootLane@gmail.com okayiluvYouBuhbye!
Neo and Toons are back to give you the latest looks in the world of Blizzard Entertainment. The Diablo this season hasn't been as fruitful as usual, with most of the season based on Necromancing. They already knew that way in advance, it doesn't mean they didn't play anyway. Toons has been taking a break playing some Warframe as of late, while Neo is still missing some pieces to make his Demon Hunter a little more playable for his usual style. In the world of Heroes of the Storm they cover some Garrosh, who always manages to get banned in Hero League. Speaking of Hero League, one of your hosts currently thinks that Hero League sucks and they may be done with it. Rounding it out is Overwatch and a lot of skin talk and how Lucio Ball is Neo's favorite, which is actually true. Send a mail in to lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com with some of your Blizzard thoughts, your hosts dig that sort of thing. Catch ya next time.
This episode had a few technical difficulties but not bad for the first time considering we’ve been doing this for over a year. This episode sums up the start of season 11, the release of a new Overwatch hero, and Garosh Hellscreams entrance into the heroes of the storm. On top of that we get a little more in depth in Diablo talk simply because the Necromancer has sparked a lot of new interest in the game.
The answer to the question where the hell did Loot Shoot Lane go? Well, here we are with Episode numerical answer of 42. We apologize for the lengthy absence but now on to your regularly scheduled dose of salt. To start us this episode is release of the Necromancer and Season 10 is now over. Diablo discussions lead on into the HoTS discussions where new champion, Malthael, is finally getting tuned down a bit and the summer sweepstakes look pretty good. Finally some Overwatch talk where we, yet again, bring up the horrible loot system and talk about the PTR changes that hopefully help address the issue. Thanks for joining us after our hiatus and keep tuning in as we are Neo & Toons and are back at it now!
Toons is out at a Canadian Comic-Con, keeping it cloudy, bro. Neo's hosting this week and brought in Ninja Pancake alumnus Mog and Remy to help fill the void. Hopefully it worked. They're talking Diablo 3 Season 10 in final thoughts for the most part since the Necromancer Beta is live and some general necromancy. HoTS has the hots-ness with HoTS 2.0 and it's as cool as you think. Make sure you get all the loot boxes. Remy accidentally unplugs his mic and the conversations end with Overwatch. Might have been a My Little Pony fighting game but you'll never know unless you listen. See you next time and send those mails into lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com.
Check in with the boys on how Season 10 is going in D3, Toons is finally playing the right class again and Neo is focusing on supporting but things are happening. There’s some big changes coming in Heroes of the Storm too so we talk a bit about that! Toons even has some stuff to say about it! Anyway stay frosty out there! Drop us an email at lootshootLane@ninjapancake.com!
And we’re back, back again talking about the end of Diablo Season 9, did you finish your seasonal bucket list? Find out if the hosts did! Also Toons has continued his flirtatious interactions with Heros of the Storm so we have an active discussion about that, and things… Then Overwatch, and platypus… did I mention we get sidetracked? Anyway it’s a thing for you to listen to and SQUIRREL. As always please drop us a rating and review if you enjoy the content and let us know what you like or don’t like in an email or become part of the discussion through tweets and emails with Cade and Neo.
It’s another episode of Loot Shoot Lane and everyone is finally healthy again. Neo has been doing his Diablo conquests like a boss. Listen to the story of another DH’s sad demise. The boys discuss the finer points of needing a group especially for gem leveling. When season 10 starts at the end of March and Toons doesn’t have to work so it’s party on Garth… party on Wayne… IEM Katowice was a good HoTs tournament and Neo goes over it a little bit. Your computer is no good without a holographic sticker on the side. Next on the discussion table, have you ever wanted to be the most amazing probe you could be? Tanks in HoTS are getting some changes. Have you heard of the house of cheese super secret strategy? You’ll hear it here. Overwatch is getting a new character, what it should be getting is a Netflix series… Finally don’t kick trees kids.
The Boys are back in town! Toons is back and almost healthy and wanted to have a bit of a chat about Blizzard games! He and Neo dive deep into the current season of Diablo again and talk a little about things to come and what we’re looking forward to next season. Then we talk way more about HoTS then you’re probably used to and less about Overwatch then you’d probably like, but hey I hope you love us anyway. We’d love it if you’d rate us on your favourite podcatcher, and shoot us an e-mail or 42 at LootShootLane@ninjapancake.com or tweet at us @LootShootLane. Until the next semi-scheduled installment same pancake time, same pancake channel may the syrup be with you.
There's been a lot of seasonal work the boys have been doing in Diablo in Season 9. With Toons out Neo hosts and brings in the ever rotating host, Remy. They're talking current builds, builds they've lost this season and some of the wackier choices they've done. Neo's got your Heroes of the Storm news and Remy's kid has been playing a lot of elimination on Overwatch. We really hope you are entertained by our inanities, please go to your favorite podcatching app type thing and give us some shiny stars and tell us what you think. If short form communications are your bag you can find us on the Tweeters as @lootshootlane Or if you got something more to say and maybe have an idea or a statement you would like to hear read on the show drop us a long form correspondence at lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com.
Once more into the slippery slope of night quietly untoward the heart of darkness We’re back, we’re off schedule as always and we’re talking a bunch about season 9 in Diablo, Characters have been powerleveled, others have fallen to the forces of darkness, Grifts have been run and conquests have been completed. Something something Heroes of the Storm something something Valeera is fun AF We talked about the lunar event in Overwatch, we may have even played some. Or use pigeons/ravens I don’t know how that works but I’m sure the Platypus has it covered. okayiluvyabuhbye!
Guess who’s back, back again… LSL… tell a friend. That’s right it’s Episode 34 and Toons and Neo have paused their obsessive Diablo playing to bring you another great podcast. With Neo’s guts staying on the inside still the guys have been hitting that diablo season 9 pretty hard. Surprise one of the hosts already lost a well geared character. A main discussion this week is The Furnace - The rare and mythical 2H Mace that Toons would probably sell a kidney for at this point. HoTS is getting Valeera which excites both Neo and Toons because rogue. There’s some Tassadar changes coming that definitely look interesting. Overwatch has been moved to the back burner for these guys but the new Lunar event is coming next week which follows the Year and Blizzards standard theme of reds, golds, dragons, etc. And to finish off the episode the guys discuss toxicity in the game.
Well I’ll be damned if LSL isn’t back after a slightly extended holiday break. Planned to be back last week but medical emergencies happened. Jump right on in and listen to quite a bit of Diablo talk this week starting with Neo’s experience of the Darkening of Tristam. After that there’s a discussion of how season 9 is going for the duo. Neo enjoyed playing Witcher 3…. Toons most certainly did not. Some minor news on HoTS as Toons tried and failed to play 30 games with friends. Ragnaros finally got his nerf but is still fun to play. There was a bit of WoW discussion that went on. For Overwatch the christmas holiday event is done and both Neo and Toons got their hands on some decent skins and enjoyed some shooting with their friends.
Hey, it's like we're almost on a schedule! Don't get too terribly used to it though. We, Neo and Toons, are back to discuss our favorite topic: Blizzard Entertainment. While neither of us have played Diablo recently, one of us did recently get baptized in cards via the world of Hearthstone. Not feeling safe about it? We assure you, it's very safe. Overwatch and some Christmas skins are on our minds and we find out Neo really wants a velour track suit. It'll play to all of his Italian roots. If Neo actually had a mobster name it'd be: Ol' Neo Box'a'Saltines we're pretty sure. See you next time! Questions? Send them to lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com or on Twitter to @LootShootLane.
Hey and welcome back to Loot Shoot Lane! Toons is a little under the weather this episode but bravely soldiers on for your listening benefit. This week we're giving you Part 2 in our "So, You Wanna Be a Diablo Player?" series. We're covering another chunk of basic advice for players who recently have found the game and made it to level 70. Don't forget, if you did it on your own, that's good for you. If you had someone power-level you, make sure to thank them. Also -- Always tip your server. That's general life advice. We give you some of our experience with the high points of building towards a better end game experience and more. Neo also updates us in the wonderful world of HoTS and we round it all out with a brief status update on Overwatch. A lot like that status update you did on Facebook but way less passive aggressive. We look forward to the next installment but in the mean time, keep those e-mails coming in. We're here to assist via lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com. You can also send a tweet to @LootShootLane on the Twits. As always, we'll see you out there in the realms of Blizzard.
We sincerely hope you were prepared for a lot of Diablo talk. Seriously, all of the Diablo talk you could ever handle. In other show related news that won't surprise you: Neo plays a lot of Heroes of the Storm. We sort of figured you wouldn't be surprised by that if you've been listening a long for a while. There's some derailment in this episode as well as Toons talks about other games and tells Neo to get back on track. We've been told you enjoy that sort of thing and Neo enjoys rambling like an old man. Just like Deckard Cain! A Diablo related fourth wall break in a show fourth wall episode description break?! We round it all out with more Overwatch, Sombra and Season 3 discussion. See you next time for more talkies! Follow the show on Twitter @LootShootLane If you enjoy e-mails send one to lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com
Hey we’re finally back, stay a while and listen! We reunite for some general chatter about the worlds we love created by the developer we adore. Neo has some updates about Heroes of the storm, in which we discuss why Horde rules and Alliance drools… or something and apparently Neo is stoked about some big fire dude. Then per usual we jump into Sanctuary and discuss the upcoming content. Toons talks about being able to do T10, no big deal or anything. We round it all out with the all new hotness in Overwatch and somehow manage to not discuss how cool Sombra’s haircut is. We’re glad to be back and looking forward to being in your ears again real soon. Hit us up on Twitter @LootShootLane or send us an email lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com and if you have a sec drop by the iTunes Store and give us a review!
Good news everybody! It's right before Blizzcon, we’re finally back, and it’s a freestyle LSL! We talk a bit about what we’ve been playing and then… in a shockingly unique and original move for a Blizzard focused podcast, I mean you’ll never see it coming… we talk about Blizzcon! BUT we do it in that Loot Shoot Lane style of offtracking and sidetracking and downtracking and all manner of not staying on topic. Also Neo was really tired and stayed up too late to do the episode and is officially a Zombie. At least being part of the forsaken he can now dedicate his new unlife to the banshee Queen. Toons probably mentions something about vaping, or clouds and at the end of the episode we announce a giveaway! Such excite, much code. We’ll be getting back to you after all the amazing announcements at Blizzcon (HD Lost Vikings Remake) until then, please subscribe follow like review rate and other things people on YouTube and Podcasts generally nag you about… We're kidding, thanks for all the support!
We’re back to our standard duo this episode as Toons and Neo start off with what the future might hold for diablo. Blizzard has finally learned to balance their games evenly. In HoTS news Toons actually played, some heroes got nerfed (read: tuned) and Brawl is on the PTR. Overwatch came out with a Halloween update including new skins, which we love, and a pve style brawl that’s super fun. Neo loves Fall so he enjoys all this. We still don’t like the ranked rating system though.
Neo is out of town, so Toons has his pick of any co-hosts for the week. Any he could possibly think of. In lieu of this fact he decides to use The Unusual Fill-Ins consisting of a moogle and a ginger. Alright, one may not actually be a moogle. Mog and Remy pitch in on this weeks show talking some of Mog's time spent with Blizzard titles of yore. There's a lot of discussion on the future of Overwatch as a franchise and possibly even a blockbuster movie. The sky is seemingly the limit for Blizzard Entertainment and we love the hell out of them.
Before we get started we apologize for our short hiatus, we promise you we had good reasons for it. Our return episode starts off with some well wishes to some Blizzard employees venturing off into a new studio. We’re talking about Apple this week as well, so we’re sure you’re confused. Our reasoning is: Apple stuff, we guess? The end of Season 7 is coming and now the word ‘Era’ is a thing, so we educate you on what exactly that means. Like Gears of War? Us too, so we’re talking about it, on a Blizzardcast. Sylvanas still remains bae in our hearts and minds while Malfurion is a beast. Toons decides to miss a conversation on Zarya because of tool reasons and Paladins are like pilates? We’re rounding our the show with a conversation about whether we would play Overwatch with friendly fire on. We would totally play that, even Neo would!
The full Hipster Trio graces your presence on this week's Loot Shoot Lane! We have Neo, Toons and Rem to talk about what they've been up to in regards to the world of Blizzard Entertainment. Vape noises have been edited out for your continuing listening enjoyment. The boys talk about their adventures in Diablo, Neo throws some love to Heroes of the Storm. He doesn't shower the Valla changes with his affections though and The Butcher may have become the Bae'tcher. We may or may not have formed a Bloodpact regarding World of Warcraft, please save us from ourselves. Rounding out the show as always is Overwatch and our recent experiences with ranked. Well, we guess two out of three trying to play competitive ain't bad. Send us some of your experiences in any of the games we've discussed to lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com. On the Twitter-sphere you can follow us @LootShootLane.
And we’re back, back again… We’ve had a pretty eventful Diablo week so we let you in one what we’ve been up to, thrills, spills, and chills! Then it's on to a little update about what new and forthcoming in the world of Heroes and a little chitchat about HL Chairleague PPL and Bloodlust. Then its on to some Overwatch discuss where we ponder our hopes and dreams for Season 2. As always thanks for joining us on our fantastic journey through the world of Blizzard IPs and please leave us some feedback and reviews on iTunes Email us at lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com or tweet at us @lootshootlane Toons can be found on Twitter as @IRQToons Neo can be found as @IRQneo
Hey we’re back again and we have loads to talk about! First we check in with how the Diablo HC season is going and who may or may not have found an integral bit of ancient weaponry for their build and we touch lightly on the rumors surrounding the teases out of Gamescom. But really it's just more farming, more looting and more of the same old Diablo funnery. Neo then talks a bunch about the huge amount of content announced for Heroes of the Storm many things each full of surprises...would you say we have a plethora of new things? I hope you know what that means if you did, anyway… then it’s on to discussing the close of the first competitive season in Overwatch and the changes incoming for Season 2! As always we pepper in completely unrelated topics just to keep you guessing. Hope you enjoy the show, find us on ninjapancake.com or whatever your busted app of choice for catching castablepods and please email us you feedback, comments, concerns or anything else to lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com or tweet to us @lootshootlane, you can find Toonsy @irqtoon and Neo @irqneo. Drop us a review on iTunes if you like the show those stars and reviews would make us feel swell, if we get to read one on the show Neo’s small heart just might grow three sizes that day.
It’s the legal everywhere episode of Loot Shoot Lane, people. There's so many seasons going on we need to talk about them. Lets start off with some Diablo talk since it’s been over a week since season 7 started. By Diablo talk we mean welcome to the DANGER ZONE! Neo has done a 59 Greater Rift and Toons is only at 58. We both have goals for the season, some similar, some different from each other. Neo better stream his attempt at solo speed racer conquest. This week in HoTS we have breaking news: Kael’thas sucks, really bad. The first season of HoTS comes to a close in just over a week. Neo uses the word Penultimate which means the one before the last and Toons looks up the definition. Rosterpocalypse still seems to be a thing in HoTS after all major tournaments. We have to be honest with you, Neo should probably be a shout caster at this point. This week in Overwatch - Neo heard rumors of more bans which is great for the game, especially if you've been annoyed. On the security front, sneaky assholes have been boosting accounts and some controversy over Olympic skins has to be talked about. The first season of Overwatch is about to end and there are rewards based on your highest rank earned in the season. Overwatch tournaments are happening and the prize pools are pretty respectable. Can we get a better way to watch them though?
It’s time for another episode of Loot Shoot Lane everybody! We start it off just like we always do with some tasty Diablo talk because it’s Season 7 time. Neo still can’t make up his mind on what class he’s going to play first. He sure talked a lot about Leapquake Barb and stuff. On the HoTS side of things Auriel first look video is interesting so we talk about that. Also kael’thas changes are coming so we discuss how that looks. The discussion moves on to Overwatch and the new Summer Game Loot Boxes which are themed around the Rio olympics. Neither of us have played Lucioball but we dare to dream. We should mention that Toons never played Final Fantasy because he's the worst. We played some Overwatch together and both like D’va a lot. Stop by and watch one of us stream the start of Season 7.
Episode 19 starts off like normal with our Diablo discussion now that Season 6 has ended and Season 7 will be starting next week. We know what we’re going to play for the start of the season already. Neo might even end up playing more Diablo this season because of it’s jump in jump out simple play style. Neo catches us up on the awesomeness that is HoTS after our lack of knowledge last week. Gul’dan is out now and not what Neo expected. Ana has been released she’s a popular hero this week but has a unique role as more of a secondary healer and minor damage dealer. Our ideas for overwatch weapon skins are still the best. Toons is humbly full of shit. And other stuff gets talked about too.
While Neo is off adventuring with his family the average and often times questionable Remy Ransom has stepped in to co-host another episode, this time with Toons. The episode starts off normally enough with two fine gingers discussing their love of Diablo. We go back in time to Rem playing Diablo 1 and 2 and discuss some things about season 7 and the future of the Diablo franchise. I apologize to our Heroes of the Storm fans with Neo being out for this episode neither of us really had much to say on the topic but hey he’ll be back next week to fill us all in. We discuss Ana, the next champion to be released into Overwatch, her back story and some fan-fic talk. We went over some of the changes that are out on the PTR for Overwatch as well which all look to be good things. And then Tacos because why not… Ana might be a lady who likes tacos, right?
The episode starts off with the announcement for the end of Season 6 and we make tentative plans for the start of Season 7. That shiny new warlock Gul’dan is on the PTR for Heroes of The Storm, he’s a hero Neo can see himself getting into. Toons finished his ranked placement in OW. We discuss our thoughts on Overwatch competitive after we’ve put some more time in. We also got another mail via lootshootlane@ninjapancake.com we answer. Oh and for those wondering, we filled our hipster trio….
Hey we’re back again! And holy moley we got an email, I won't spoil it but its about Diablo, we talk about Gul’dan coming to the nexus and other things to come and of course we talk about potatoes. Can you guess who doesnt care for OW competitive mode??? Here’s a hint, he's grumpy! Other than that its the usual hijinks and shenanigans enjoy!
Confusing spike traps are confusing. This week with some minor changes to Diablo, we looked at the patch notes and Neo is a bit confused about spike traps. It won't stop him from trying them though at some point. The main focus this week is a discussion on how Heroes of the Storm's ranked matchmaking is currently working. Recently, Toons' favorite co-host got stomped hard by a pro which was pretty interesting. A conversation about how we treat competitive gaming then follows up. How much time have you played games in the past? Turns out we have quite a bit. If you're playing Overwatch on consoles, your favorite bearded turret master is on the way.
Hot damn! The patches are everywhere! We don't even mean your puppy who may share that same name. We're diving right into these patch notes this week. Toons did manage to play Diablo this week and Neo is jumping back soon. We have changes to HoTS ranked system which have to be discussed as part of Neo's contractual obligations - To himself. Overwatch had a tiny baby patch and we're discussing Kaplan's statement on the future of this title and why we feel it's worth its price. We're tapping our creativity this week to brainstorm some ideas about weapon skins and having goals in Overwatch.
We start off this episode wishing Jay Wilson good luck in his future and thank him for making one of our favorite games. In Heroes this week there are competitive scene shenanigans and we go over our opinions on the future of competitive HoTS. In the world of Overwatch Toons is getting pooped on in solo play. We discuss a bit of the luck involved in getting those sweet skins. Also: Team Comp has become a thing that is either the best, the worst or the most hilarious. And to finish it off Junkrat is an ass. Seriously.
Do you hate Toons’ voice? well then oh boy do we have an episode for you with special guest Remy. Neo takes the reins and does a fantastic job. They discuss the David Bowie side of Heroes of the storm then talk about unranked draft mode. The topic of “you’re playing it wrong” just has to be discussed and there are opinions to be had. Overwatch has counterplay… what is counterplay? Listen and find out. Remy does a perfect bastion impression too. The graphics VS performance discussion has to be had and good points are made. Opinions are made and talks are had it’s a good time.
Welcome back to Loot Shoot and Lane! Stay awhile and listen as Toons updates his Sanctuary adventures in Diablo 3. Neo is storming through the Nexus in Heroes of The Storm having his own Chairleague adventures. We round it up with more Overwatch -- We bet you'll be surprised to learn we still love it. Toxic Try-Hards need not apply, see you soon! Follow us on Twitter @LootShootLane for more of our antics.
It's the night before Overwatch and all through the internets everyone was hype AF to get in on the action… or something. But first let’s check in with the boys and see who’s completed their first 6 piece sets and who may have leveled a WD for fun. That being said, Neo clues us into what’s been going on in the his particular corner of Heroes of the Storm. And then… we talk about being stoked for Overwatch, step back in time about a week and pretend Overwatch isn’t out and it already isn’t your game of the year pick and let’s remember that anticipation together, there wasn’t that fun?
We finally managed to sneak away for about an hour in the midst of our real life busyness to talk Blizzard. Toons has goals this season in Diablo. Neo loosely explains changes coming to Heroes of the Storm over the next few months. We round it up with a discussion on the Overwatch Beta - Our favorite characters, maps and moments so far.
We’re back and talking about the impending Season 6 Diablo start, Neo is, as per usual, unimpressed with something and it’s decided it would take an Amon Amarth shirt for his DH to make him work for that 300 kills in a single chest conquest! Toons however thinks it’s all pretty keen and is excited to possibly make a triumphant return to his Barbarian roots, bloody roots. We also talk about fashion senses in Overwatch. And for your enhanced listening pleasure some of the outro may or may not have been Redacted.
