A discussion on the merits of each movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening! This one is mostly about Thunderbolts but you can stay tuned for the post credits scene where the hosts manipulate a spreadsheet if that's too on topic for you.
An episode about a show with the subtitle ‘Born Again' that's being posted on Easter? I've got nothing. Also: We talk about Sinners, Wicked, The Minecraft Movie, Severance Season 2, and Cade's run in with Kevin Smith.
You've seen the reviews but what do Marv and Noah think? Elssux or Duzent?
Still no DEGOT winners. Maybe next year. Come enjoy our Marvel awards extravaganza with winners that you voted for (if you took that survey 6 weeks ago).
Godzilla Minus One, Superman Teaser Trailer, S4E17 of the original X-Men show, and 5 beloved Christmas traditions. Remember to manifest your heart out.
In this episode: Wicked, I Saw the TV Glow, other stuff, and a little shake-up to the Marvel Rankings.
Recap: Cade and Jordan enjoyed the first two episodes. What will they think of the rest of the episodes? Also, The Substance, The Wild Robot, and other tangents. Recap 2: This is a two dudes talking podcast disguised as a review podcast, don't expect structure.
Wherein: Jordan goes the entire episode without saying the letter ‘P,' Cade recounts the many concerts he attends, Jordan reviews new Disney rides, Cade recounts the many movies he watches, and—eventually—they talk about a witch or something.
Every 26 months, three men (feat. Patrick Fitzsimmons) assemble to talk a little about the FX tv show Legion and a lot about movies generally. This time they also watched Dolittle (2020). Why? It's a secret that's been lost to the sands of time. Just like the location of the Island of the Eden Tree which has magical healing fruit (which could save the queen).
Too much cursing for my taste. Can we get a Nicepool movie instead?
They stab Xavier.Xavier: X2, Brute?Magneto: Liberty! Freedom! Tyranny is dead! Run hence, proclaim, cry it about the streets.I should probably let Cade write the descriptions. We talk about X2 in this one with a special guest.
Cade and Jordan head back into the Marvel vault to visit Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. New heroes, new powers, but old special effects (which are kinda good?). Enroll with us as we prepare for Deadpool and his spikey-metal-clawed friend.
The stars are out! The most prestigious award show on the planet returns to your eardrums. Tape the big game, you've got listening to do. Buckle in, brace yourself, the show starts now! Wow! Ok.
This show was an interesting choice from the folks over at the Walter Disney Corporation but it exceeded our expectations. Wait that can't be right, its a Hawkeye spin off with Marvel Netflix cameos. Let me check my notes. Huh, no that's the case they're making.
The holidays wouldn't be the holidays without the classic traditions that we all know and love. There's a little bit of marvel stuff in there too.
It's that time of year again. Grab a mug of hot chocolate, curl up next to a roaring fire, and nitpick superhero blockbusters from a decade ago.
Marvel is taking all this multiverse timeline hopping seriously. The Marvels was made a universe where the MCU is a disorganized mess and Loki was made in a universe where everything is planned years in advance. I wonder which universe the next film will be from…
I hope you did your homework. If you didn't watch Ms. Marvel, Wandavision, Secret Invasion, Captain Marvel, and Hawkeye you're missing out. Or are you?
We discuss Five Nights at Freddy's, Killer's of the Flower Moon (but mostly just its duration), the upcoming Beatles track “Now and Then,” and, oh yeah, Loki season 2.
What if the people making a show actually cared about the project? What if they had a plan for what would happen? What if they actually followed that plan and told a cohesive story? In Loki, we might have stumbled into a timeline where that happens on Disney+!
In this very special episode we come to you live from Cade's birthday brewery crawl. At each stop we recorded a 5 minute segment with surprise guest discussing a different surprise Marvel movie. Embrace the chaos.
We used to have a Marvel podcast that was secretly a Beatles podcast but now its a Marvel podcast that is secretly a Matchbox Twenty podcast. How's that for shapeshifting?
We've got a couple of mysteries on our hands today. From Marvel to the Titanic, Cade and Jordan are on the case. (The remnants of the sub were confirmed to be found while we were recording. Damn we're good.)
The gang's all here, what more do you want? If you said adorable, tortured animals you're in luck!
Who would win in a shrinking contest: Ant-man shrinking himself or Quantumania shrinking consumer interest in the MCU?
A handful of truly great performers have received an EGOT but who will be the first to win a DEGOT?
I think there's a man on my roof and I sure hope its Santa Claus. On this episode we discuss Avatar: Blue People Bluer Water, Goofy Aliens on Earth, and rank the tracks of The Beatles' White Album. Happy Holidays!
Join us all ye movie sorters (fa la la la la, la la la la)/ Tis the season to make order (fa la la la la, la la la la)/Ranking all the MCU films (MA MA MA MA MA, MA MA VEL SUCKS)
Black Panther is back (panther). Cade and Jordan discuss Marvel Snap, the Quantumania trailer, and the newest MCU flick. What more could you want?
Sorry if we sound out of breath, we raced to get you this episode as fast as humanly possible.
This episode was recorded on September 24th. That's why this is the show you come to for breaking news.
If you've been looking for a deep dive of phase five while you drive, you've arrived. The two leading Marvelxperts are here to deliver all the juicy MCU deets.
Mr. Marv Elssux reviews Ms. Marv El with Mr. Noah Duzent.
Will Thor 4 be adored, abhorred, or endured?
February 2018 - Cade, Patrick, and Jordan watch the first 20 minutes of the first episode of Legion (2017), April 2020 - after 26 months they watched the middle 20 minutes, and June 2022 - after an additional 26 months the first episode has been finished. The three will meet up again on August 2024 to discuss the first 20 minutes of the first episode of season 2 of Legion and the trailer to Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief (2008).
There's more discussion of Top Gun: Maverick in this episode than Moon Knight but that's probably for the best.
Doctor Strange 2? More like Doctor too Strange. Marvel is getting wacky with this zany flick.
The atmosphere is electric tonight at the Duzzies. The stars are shining and the reviews are glowing. Who's gonna take home the ultimate prize? Find out now!
5 years after starting we've reached our 100th episode. Here's 100 interviews (a joint effort by Cade and I) about the MCU.
If you were to use one word to describe this podcast, I think that word would have to be “timely.” Anyway, here's our final review of a show set and released during the Christmas season. Merry Holidays!
Is this Spider-man 3 better than Toby's Spider-man 3? We'll let you be the judge. Or actually, I guess, we will be the judge because podcasts aren't an interactive medium. You can be the jury.
Its the year without a Santa Claus. Or maybe the year without a Grinch. The point is Marv “Jordan Peeples” Elssux isn't on this one but there is a returning guest. I'll leave you in suspense.
Hawkeye changed history. Without Hawkeye the headlines in 2012 would never have said “Six Avengers Save New York,” they would have said “Five Avengers Save New York.”
In honor of Marvel's commitment to keeping the MCU going until time ends, they called this entry Eternals.
We-we-we're ba-ba-back for a re-re-rank. Sorry, it's freezing in this description box. Anyway, we also talk about Venom 2 and What if.
Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings joins the ring-based media pantheon with other greats like Tolkien's illustrious Lord of the Rings series and Sega's legendary pointy speed rascal, Sonic the Hedgehog.
What if Jordan and Cade did an episode without tangents? There is no timeline, across any multiverse, in which we stay on subject. Discussed today: Cade's Birthday, The Suicide Squad, Pig, Green Knight, What if…, No Sudden Moves.
This one is our magnum opus. You woulda thought it'd be our Endgame episode or something but, no, our third Loki episode is the greatest episode in the show's storied history. Enjoy or whatever. Don't let me tell you what to think.
Marvel has been successful doing TV shows but now they've trying a movie. Good luck!
In the end, the only person Loki could fall for is a Loki variant. Featuring special guest, communication expert Elle Johnson (co-host of the podcast Talk Talk: A Podcast About Communication though that didn't get brought up on the episode).
Loki meets the time bureaucrats who are angry because he did a time crime during the Avenger's time heist to get magic rocks.
