"I was a seventies baby, raised in the eighties..." - Scarface An appropriate quote for this month's episode, in which we keep a constant speed all the way through - an unbroken chain in the low-80s BPM range! A little rugged, a little smooth, some old and some new, and hopefully something for each of you

What if Jordan and Cade did an episode without tangents? There is no timeline, across any multiverse, in which we stay on subject. Discussed today: Cade's Birthday, The Suicide Squad, Pig, Green Knight, What if…, No Sudden Moves.
As the new #streaming war continues its surge on the inter webs; with #DSPs rapidly churning out new content to stay one step ahead of each other. It seems like there's a new original production every week. So this week the crew decided to take a look at #NoSuddenMove, an #HBOMAX original. It's clear no expenses were spared in the casting budget. The movie stares heavy hitters like #DonCheadle as #CurtGoynes, #BeniciodelToro as #RonaldRusso, and a heavy set heavy hitter in #BredanFraser as #DougJones, and that's not even half the star power here. The story is of corporate cover up, payoffs, and mob ties set in 1954 #Detroit. These men and #DavidHarbour as #MattWertz as the steal, try to sell #topsecret documents related automotive revolutionary invention. So with all these pieces how was this movie a bigger disappointment watching a chicks #onlyfans fail. This shit was a snooze fest, boring as all hell, I've seen more riveting #tedtalks. Hell watching #BenStein call attendance was more riveting. It's a hard to put a finger on where it went wrong but we decided that this was not a story for the big screen. A #documentary, a #book, anything would've been a better way to tell the story. Acting was phenomenal, but this is just not enjoyable. Let us know what you think in the #comments below. Inspired by Steven Soderbergh's latest outing, the post-modern retro caper film No Sudden Move, with a killer cast. Carsten & Stephen delve into the history of neo-noir films, recalling the classic post-war movement chronicling doomed heroes, femme fatales and dark shadows with fresh spins on a familiar form. Thanks to Criterion Channel, some of the best examples are all in one place, with titles like Night Moves, Cutter's Way, Across 110th Street, The Last Seduction and more. #132 Black Widow, No Sudden Moves, I Saw the Devil They make look like horror films based on their titles but they're not; at least not all of them. This week, we jump back in the Marvel timeline with Black Widow; the superhero film that we needed but was still fun to watch. No Sudden Move has the experimental director Soderbergh doing a period piece about crime that turns out to be thematically grander. Finally, in finishing up Oscar's marathon, we enter he world of serial killing and revenge with I Saw the Devil. No worser way to become obsessed with vengeance than this brutal tale. On today's show, we try to tell the difference among Bud Light, Coors Light, and Miller Lite - there is a better taste test. We also discuss: UFO reports can't be explained, Joey Chestnut's insatiable hunger is taken to a new level, UK's incredible world breaking record, someone's embarrassed for Scarlett Johansson, results from Would You Rather?, Twitter's obsession with socks, and a National Guard scenario that has some interesting strings attached. Mike's Movie Reviews: America, the Motion Picture and No Sudden Moves. Also, the Bucket List Movies increases by one with Stand By Me. One more punchable face is revealed after such thoughtful deliberation, and it's pretty plain to see. And more! What do you think of the show? This week on the podcast the group makes the suspect decision to review the new Steven Soderbergh movie, No Sudden Moves. The group chats about the 50s setting of the plot, discuss the lack of likable and memorable characters save Curt Goynes who is played by the always magnificent Don Cheadle and breakdown why this film has one-too many twists.
This episode is a movie extravaganza. We start by reviewing No Sudden Moves (7:11), The Tomorrow War (19:40) & Werewolves Within (27:49) before hearing Robbie's crazy experience while seeing Zola in theaters (36:26). We end by briefly discussing Fear Street 1994 (51:15).
Black Widow is coming to theaters next week, and with it, a nearly two-year drought in the theatrical output of the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes to a close (I mean, come now... they don't call it the Marvel Direct-to-Streaming Television Universe, now do they). And with 23 extant films making up this biggest and baddest franchise of modern filmmaking, that's more than enough for us to make our comparative lists of the top 5 MCU movies. For some of us, this means the cream of the crop of modern blockbuster filmmaking; for others, it's the most tolerable of a bad bunch. But anyway, Tim felt like he owed something to Rob and Carrie for muscling through Studio Ghibli week, so here we are. In Worth Mentioning we discuss The Tomorrow War, No Sudden Moves, Fatherhood and Pride thanks to Patron Ellie Cook.
