Jesus' encounter with a demonic man in the Gadarenes speaks to us today that no matter the situation we are in, His ever present help is always there.
2 Timothy 3:16,17 - All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Ephesians 4:13,14 - Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
Blessed is the man[a] who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law[b] of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
There was a problem in the early church in Corinth that threatens to be just as dangerous today to the lives of believers and the church. 2 Corinthians 12:20 For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults
The words "But God...." signal that a change is coming. Your situation is about to change, and for the better. Whatever your feelings, whatever your thoughts, whatever others may say, when the child of God is surrendered to Him all things become subject to God. o You may have messed up your life so far…. But God… o Your body may be wracked with disease … But God o You think you may not see your children saved…. But God…. o You may not be doing well financially, on your last dime… But God… o Your plans may not be working out…. But God… Ephesians 2:4,5 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Psalm 40, verses 1 to 3 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me,And heard my cry.2He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,Out of the miry clay,And set my feet upon a rock,And established my steps.3 He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God;Many will see it and fear,And will trust in the Lord.
Between prayer and the answer there is waiting. Waiting on God to answer can be a difficult period. In this video, Pastor Peter shares 5 reasons why God makes us wait.
