In 1973, official diplomatic relations between Poland and New Zealand were established at the embassy level. The main aim for the future was the development and strengthening of mutual economic and cultural relations. Both nations however have ties that have lasted over 150 years - with early Polish settlers arriving in Aotearoa in 1872. On this celebratory occasion we speak 'all things Polish' to the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in NZ, Mr Grzegorz Kowal.

Historian and story teller Margaret Copland of Kerwee (direct descendant of early Polish Settlers 1872) shares with you the story of four generations of Polish Immigrant family.
